Resen then decided to defend himself to the Kartanin.''You fare ball you will be slished in two.''His face became more angry and all of sudden he used the force magic trick that the Frost witch had teached him surprising the Kartanin. After that trip he had leanred much more things and didnt only relied in the standarts attack of the Sith.He managed to deflect the attacks of the Kartanin who was schockec by the Sith Magic trick Resen unleashed and only a handfull new in the galaxy.

(Beorht i dont know how to continue this please give me OOC instruction on the next post.I think we both dont want to kill our chars but have to resolve it someway ;) )

"Well he is quite the charmer... You Sith need to lighten up..." Chris thought about what she said then laughed. "Yeah LIGHTen up..." Another tone came from her comm unit. "Shuttle pod is here ma'am." Chris sighed and looked Kelen over. "Well lets go set a trap for your wayward comrades, blow up a few and see what happens. I'll contact my friend and see if she can meet us there. If i let you have you weapon and cloths back your not going to try and slaughter everyone on my ship are you? After all that would be rude after all this talking we did, and I might just have to space you." She was being humorous, it was clear to see and feel in the force, but it was also a warning. She was placing a lot of trust in Kelen now and if she betrayed it even the slightest, she would find out just how "powerful" Chris could be.

With a click the stun cuffs fell from Kelen's arms.

"Kharonos actually is charming in other settings. In this setting, negotiating the end of a war with the Empress' personal apprentice along for the ride, charming means he didn't bring Her Majesty's command ship. The Sith Empire may not back the actions of one of its client states, but he wasn't threatening you. Darth Sirena, the Sith Empress, is a force unto herself, and thoroughly unpredictable. She is no friend of mine - I have other patrons - and Kharonos is not wholly in her camp either. He was telling you that in his professional opinion, Sirena could choose to do just about anything if this war escalates too far or costs too much. She could intervene and glass one or two of your worlds, or she could call the whole fleet home and execute the commanders, and make allies out of your star systems. And there would be nothing either of us could do about it. I'm trying to keep from waking the dragon just as much as you should be. We're talking about a woman who controlled the power of the greatest Force nexus in history - and though she lost it, it changed her. She can kill starships using something called a Force Storm, and she flies around in the biggest Star Destroyer I've ever seen. She's old and capricious and evil in the truest sense.

"If we attract her attention out here, odds are we're both going to die. So go ahead and execute your ambush - but be wise, not proud. Or your worlds will quite possibly burn.

"In the meantime, you have an ambush to orchestrate, and apparently I'm to meet with your Forcers. I'm your prisoner," said Kelen, voice dry. "Lead on."

Kalo stumbled back, jaw muscles bunching. The terror that coursed through him was unholy, unKartanin. He'd felt fear, oh yes - every warrior did except the bloodfurious. He'd been at the edge of death many times. He'd been tortured, seen others tortured that he cared about. He'd rarely felt fear like this. And it wasn't as if Drake was affecting his mind with the Force...

...except his was, but in a way that Kalo had never sensed, on a level he'd never believed possible.

"What's happening?" wailed Fadin with more despair than he'd thought her capable of feeling. "Why - what the..."

Kalo snarled something untranslatable and backed off. He slapped a button on the wall. "Containment!" he roared. Instantly the artificial gravity in the room went to four G's. Kalo's two hundred and fifty pounds became a thousand; he buckled to the ground. Fadin was flattened. A powerful, disorienting sonic weapon hidden in the walls filled the room with a subsonic vibration that gave him a powerful headache and made it nearly impossible to concentrate on the Force.

Resen shouted.''You will stop this now or you will make me kill you Kalo Kaa?''

He knew he was in advantage positition but didnt left his overconfidence cloud his judgement leading him to lose like many Sith before.

''He forced pushed Kalo Kaa in the wall and then telekinised some things near him stoping him against the wall. The Kartanins lightsabers closed..

''SO NOIW WHAT KALO?!''Resen shouted.

Fear.

Even this magical fear.

Fear was nothing. Not to a Kartanin.

He disengaged the containment with a thought; it wasn't working anyways. He sent out a shockwave of the Force that shattered Resen's hold over him. The chairs that pinned him to the wall crumpled and broke, re-forming into jagged balls of steel that flew at Resen. He raised his hands, and electrical current poured out - not corrupt Force Lightning, but the Light Side version, Electric Judgment, designed to stun and incapacitate. He had learned it from the Baran Do Sages themselves.

"You are strong, boy, but not that strong." The lightning continued to arc between Kalo and Resen, and the chunks of metal continued to fly at him.

Resen was holdng his power and giving all the lightining he had.He was muchskilfull in this area but knew that his opponent was better in that field.''I will kill you Kalo-Kaa,i will...''

He then doubled jumpled leaving the one saber from his hand. The lightning followed the lightsaber which was not in Resen hand. Now with one saber on his right hand Resen had got behind Kalo Kaa who was too big to do such a jump and get the lighting in the air.

The Kartanin broke the lighing but Resen was infornt of him now.He called back his Saber and now fought Kalo-Kaa with both his chamber applying Makashu but also Soresu and spin off attacks having put the Kartanin in defence. He was full with hate now and that was giving him power.

''I will give your meat to the people to eat you Kalo-Kaa!!''Resen now was hitting hitting and hitting the Kartanin who could easy repeal the attacks from both the lightsabers...

Chris listened to Kelen, wondering how even the Sith allow some one so powerful but seemingly unstable to lead them. Well the powerful part she got... "We don't really have 'forcers', though I guess the Nighten Druids may count... No your going to meet Rebecca Shorapka, she's like me and the Director of the Systems Alliance Armored Corps. You get to see where Shorapka Pilots and ExoShells come from."

Chris lead Kelen to the shuttle pod, waiting to meet them were two older Huntresses, their power caused a pressure in the back of Chris's mind, nearly suffocating. They were powerful psychics, and well that is what Chris asked for to escort Kelen, for her safety as well of that of Chris's crew. One of them held out additional cloths for Kelen to wear other then the skin tight body glove she had on. Chris turned to Alex and let out a sharp whistle. The massive Exoshell looked in her direction and took a few steps over to her, much to the alarm of the gathered prisoners.

"I'll meet you on my ship, please everyone play nice." Alex's cockpit opened and a line dropped. Once Chris grabbed a hold of it and slid a foot into the loop at the end, she was pulled up and she got into it. Shortly after they would be on their way to the 'Endeavor', Alex would stay close to the pod, dwarfing it by several times. Around them serveralContainer Transports had gathered. The SC prisoners were loaded onto modified containers, each one basically an over sized life pod, self contained, with accommodations much like prison. No guards were inside, just the prisoners. Everything they needed to survive was there. The only escape was into vacuum, and there was no way to communicate between the prisoners or the crew of the ship.

Chris's voice came over the speaker in the shuttle pod. "Your officers will be taken back for intel to interrogate, but the common crew members are getting sent back home on those ships. Basically they will head into the nearest habitable Sith Empire system, detach the containers and inform the locals of their location." Chris was silent for a moment then asked, "They wouldn't be punished for their failur or some such nonsense would they?"

"It would be a useful lie, but no."

Kelen was, primarily, a telepath, a student of two of the galaxy's greatest. The pressure of the Huntresses' presence meant little to her. Together they could crack her, undoubtedly, but she stood among them as an equal despite their relative experience. She accepted the clothing gratefully and put it on.

The shuttle ride over to the Endeavor was brief and very secure. Soon enough, though in truth Kelen had few issues with patience, she was ushered into the presence of a woman of substantial power.

"Rebecca Shorapka, I assume? An entire program of pilots named after you - interesting. I'm Kelen Adwar, Director of Central Command Operatives. Pleased to meet you."

Chris caught up to Kelen and was surprised to see Rebecca. "How? ... when? Oh screw it."

Rebecca smiled at Chris then turned her attention back to to Kelen. "I'm pleased to meet you as well, we don't get many Sith around here after all... Well till now it seems. Seems our presence at Dac seems to have turned some heads after all." Rebecca walked around Kelen sizing her up. "They are actually named after my father, he was the one who started the project... My... You do seem to be at the peek of Stamina and physical prowess." She looked at Chris and winked, Chris rolled her eyes but smiled. "Better be careful Rebecca. While Kelen has been mostly impassive they seem to jump to conclusions and think the worst first. No offense intended Kelen." Rebecca dismissed what Chris said with a wave of her hand. "We are just the same way... Anyway i don't think she would start any trouble here and now. Especially when she might be interested in what I'm going to ask her to do."

Chris gave her a 'your kidding look'. "You do remember the fact that she could still be an enemy, despite the helpfulness she been displaying so far." Again Rebecca dismissed her warning. "It will be fine." She was in front of Kelen again and Rebecca looked into her eyes, "There is a bit of tech i been working on based on the force. Its not much as i don't have a full understanding about it, but I'm hoping you can help remedy that. Are you up the the task?"

He's strong, thought Kalo in the back of his mind. He's nearly strong enough to best me. Certainly enough to defeat most Patriots. This is not good.

The lightning flowed into the station around them; the lights flickered and died, leaving them in the dark, lit only by the electric current.

The door opened. Big droids were there, and they fired powerful stun blasts at Resen as Kalo kept trying to knock him out with the lightning. He stopped throwing the broken chairs at Resen and put all his power into the electric current.

It was a simple equation. On the one hand, helping the enemy develop technology like that definitely fell under the heading of 'things that could get one's people killed.' On the other hand, getting a more intimate involvement with enemy technology, especially non-standard technology like this, was exactly the point of the entire mission.

"I'd be more than happy to," said Kelen. "What sort of technology?"

Resen now had to face the droids and the Kartanin.''You are such a coward Kalo-Kaa!And i am tired of fighting with you...''

He would get to the ground and within the darkness he would unleash a great force push that would storm all the droids and push Kalo Kaa to the wall almost breaking his spine.Resen had reached the greater level of hate and anger making him powerfull but for one way he didnt lose his judgment and finally thought that Kalo-Kaa would stop the fighting because the fighters were almost equal.

Rebecca smiled, Chris didn't like where this was going. Rebecca reached into a pocket, Kelen would start to feel something radiating with force energy. What was odd was it was her own as well as that of the strange force energies of Chris, Rebecca and the Huntresses. She pulled out a sliver of crimson crystal, nearly perfect in clarity, suggesting of a unnatural make. It absorbed their presence's in the force and reflected it back magnified. the magnification wasn't much, but for such a small crystal, it was incredible. It was too small to be used in a saber, too long as well, like a over sized needle.

Chris knew what it was, she had tested with it before with outstanding effects. Crystals like that one were used in the devices that allowed her ExoShell and Rebecca's to use their remote weapon systems. But the question was, What would happen if a trained Force user used the crystal with a more direct use of the force? That's what Rebecca wanted to know, and Chris too. But she rather it not have been a Sith to learn about these crystals.

Rebecca held it up between her thumb and index finger. "You feel this right?"

"Coward?"

Nearly any other Kartanin would have ripped Resen in half...but that reminded Kalo to calm down and stretch out to the Light Side. And that was what allowed him to match Resen's power.

He ignited his yellow lightsabre again and attacked, driving Resen back through the door towards the scattered droids. With Kalo this close, the droids couldn't fire their stun weapons, which apparently hadn't worked too well. The droids drew back.

"Surrender, boy."

Kelen nodded. She knew a thing or two about alchemy; she'd seen reports from the Mimban mission. "I've seen similar things. There are Forcers in the Unknown Regions who use a strange form of alchemy to make ornaments which accomplish the same purpose. What interests me is how it interacts with the...portion of the Force spectrum...that your people use. That it interacts with both..." She glanced at Chris and saw no surprise. So: familiar with it already.

"It amplifies your powers," she said, "and you want to see if it will amplify mine. Yes?"

Resen knew this wasnt going to end. They were equal and even if he would manage to kill Kalo-Kaa he wouldnt beat Fadin nor the droids. He decided to flee and return to Velok now because moments there and he would be slaughered. He was already losing his energy. He figured out a way to leave.

''This will not end here Kaa..we will meet again...''He forced pushed the droids on Kalo-Kaa's direction and he exited the room running like a hurricane. He continued running even apllying some amateur force speed and he managed to get to a langing pad.He saw a fighter with the PATRIOS insigia on it and entered while having almost a security regiment on his trail.

He took of and left the Patrios HDs station with some slight wounds and would be near Velok some days later...He would say everything to his master and wait for a reaction...

''Sorry that i have failed you Master...''

"Sooner or later you were going to have to learn this great truth, Resen: everyone fails. Everyone. You've had great success, but you've been lucky. This was the first mission I've given you that was truly difficult, where the people you faced had intelligence and power and resources. You are now persona non grata in the Jade Empire. So am I. It's a dangerous place for people like us, and you were lucky. I didn't think you would face Kalo-Kaa. You should know that he is their very best - and he is better than you. In fact he could pose a threat even to someone like me. I'm surprised and impressed that you survived - and escaped the Shang Ra'la, too.

Resen stood up and started applying the Sith Magic that the Frost Witch had learned him to Velok.

He would soon see some effect in this on his Master and would stop. The power to compel fear...

Velok began to sweat, but otherwise remained unmoved. He could endure Sith Magic; he had faced it before, unlike Kalo-Kaa. "Be glad you got away. The Patriots have never faced Sith Magic. They would have imprisoned and studied you, at least until I rescued you.

Resen would look deeply in his Master's eyes.''My Master...the thing i desire most is...to gain a powerfull noble name again..rebuild my house...serve the Centrality for years and years...and finally be a vital member of our territory..lead our people to victories...give joy to all the ihabitants and final be a person worthy of being written to the historical archives and my name would be heard for years and years as maybe the Sith'ari even if i know this is almost impossible...and i only can achive all those things with your teachings...''He would bow now to his master.

Rebecca smiled. "Yeah, in a way. All of us here can tell its resonating with you right now. So the first test is done already. The Next one is on the Alpha Titan, here." She let the crystal fall into her palm and tossed it to Kelen. "With everything you have been telling us, helping to stop a war and helping me with this, some sort of thanks should be given to you." Chris was about to object but Rebecca held up a hand, "She just confirmed to us that the Sith make use of similar crystals, even if it was a spur of the moment lie for what ever reason they aren't likely to be able to copy that particular type of crystal anytime in the near future." Chris doubt that, but what ever. "Fine..."

"You don't dream small, boy. Most of what you describe is achievable.

"Bringing joy to the people...somehow I suspect you're lying about that. Or else very naive. Those of us in the Centrality who value justice know that justice does not make people happy. We give people the freedom to live and make choices, and they are happy or sad as a result of their own choices. To try to force happiness - to force people to change at all - is a fool's game. It doesn't work.

"You fought Kalo-Kaa. That means you have acceptable skill in telekinesis, energy manipulation, and sabre combat. But if you truly wish to claim the title of Sith'ari - if the prophecy really is true...you'll have to learn more than that.

"You have your Sith amulet, the ring. What you don't know is that the ring can do more than just put people to sleep. If you're careful in your experiments, the ring will grow in power. I can teach you to unlock it, to be able to do other things with it. Relying on an artefact is a bad idea - it can be taken from you - but this will teach you to control Sith artefacts and Dark Side machines.

"And once you're the Sith'ari...what then? What do you want then?"

Kelen felt the Force flow through her with unexpected clarity as the crystal needle thudded into her palm. She reached out, telepath that she was, and found the freshly-departed mind of her close friend, Ashin.

Stay close. Interesting things.

The contact was brief. "All right. This second test - the Alpha Titan. Is that this ship?"

Resen didnt knew how to spoke out the words....

''Domination Master...it might sounds funny or...a far dream..but if i get to be the Sith'ari i will lead the Sith'ari Centrality into Galaxy Domination and build a vast Empire but before that i will make sure for the prosperity of our territory and people....

Bring it into power....make it strong and then march against our enemies...i want to make our Empire bigger...i want to bring the Sith's into controling the galaxy once again...i want my own Sith Empire with our people under it...and if i dont manage all those things...i acepy my fate into diying while i fight for all those things....

And i believe that everything can be due if you believe in them my Master...even if now they seem like a...far...far...dream...''

Rebecca motioned for them to follow as Chris spoke. "No, The Alpha Titan is... A mobile base of sorts for all Shorapkas, vehicles and pilots alike... Rebecca must we take here there? You know that they originally came for our tech. Giving her that crystal may be one thing but..." Rebecca turned to her. "I know very well what I'm doing, you of all people should be able to trust me to do the right thing." Chris shook her head, "I do trust you, but sometimes your passion to 'advance' can get the better of you." Rebecca gave Chris a stern look, "Well i trust you to stop me if i go too far, now lets go. The sooner we finish this test the sooner Kelen can be on her way or what ever." Chris for now remained quite.

Back on the Shuttle pod Chris flew the small craft while the other four women watched out the forward view port. It seemed for the moment they were just heading for open space, but then the massive Alpha Titan decloaked. The massive ship looked just like any other Jupitris-class, had no makers or anything to make it stand out from the others that were now in the sector. So far the only thing that set it apart was that it had a cloaking device, and no one could hardly tell it had one by looking at it.

They landed in a massive bay, everywhere ExoShells had been in their struts, locked down. Some were being worked on, others weren't. None of them looked like they seen battle and once off the pod the smell of fresh paint was strong. Off in a darkened corner the silhouette of a much larger vehicle lay dormant, but they didn't head that way. They made a sharp right and entered a hall. After a brief walk they entered another much smaller bay, the one side open to space with only a magcon field holding the atmosphere inside. Beyond it was two fairly thick slabs of metal. In the center of the bay was a unknown device.

Rebecca turn to Kelen. "So basically what we have here is what i call an Ether Drive. I won't go into detail but once you use it, i bet it will be very hard for you to leave here with out it." Rebecca smile was almost sadistic. "But you will leave here with out it one way or another. So just relax and feel privileged that you get to play with it at all." Before Kelen could say anything she continued. "So what i would like to see is you your self, with out using that crystal i gave you, to blast one of those slabs of metal with something. Something that would utterly destroy it. Try your best, its the most durable stuff we got, and don't feel bad if you can't. We need a base value of strength from just you to compare when you use the Ether Drive." Kelen would feel that the eyes of Chris, Rebecca and the Huntresses weren't the only ones watching her. There was a heightened sense of alertness. If she tried anything, there was no doubt it would be the last thing she did.

"Peace? Peace? Resen, you will never know peace. Someday when you're old, you'll look back on what you've done and regret it all. No, there is no peace in the Sith way...except through continuing to act, to do. Come, I've prepared dinner."

Velok ushered Resen into a dining room, where many Sith ate. The meal was very spicy.

"If you eat hot food, your body begs for relief - milk, maybe, or bread. There is no milk or bread for a Sith. The only solution is to keep eating. See? When you eat something spicy and then stop, it's much hotter, but if you keep eating, it doesn't feel as hot.

''I understand Master,if this is indeed the case i will never stop my guest for power...what you want me to do now my Lord?''As Velok sat next to him.

"Now, I'm going to teach you a high art. Leave us." The other Sith got up and left.

"You've been taught to use your pain to enhance your rage, and gain strength from it. You've also been taught to control pain and endure torture. But there's a greater skill, one that few Sith know, and that is how to draw strength directly from pain.

"There are two forms of this. One is best illustrated with a story. There was once a man named Je'gan Olra'en. I was torturing him, a hundred years ago or so, because he knew something I needed to know. He had been trained as a Sith, you know; he was a friend of my own Sith Master, Aorali Ventirri. And from her he learned to take his own pain and make it into power. He'd fought a war singlehanded and was exhausted, had no strength left. But when I tortured him, he drew strength from the energies he himself was releasing in his pain. He didn't control the pain or cancel it out - he felt it all, but it gave him the power to defeat me and escape." Velok smiled. "Of course I killed him later.

"It is also possible to draw strength from someone else's pain. That's a slippery slope.

"Go on, try to draw strength from your pain after eating the spicy food. You'll only get a very tiny amount from it, but it should teach you the principle. To do it you'll need to accept all the pain, not avoid it."

Resen did it.

He left the pain float out after eating the food and then looked at Velok...it would be after minutes but Resen felt like hours...

He looked his Master...''It is exhausting...But gives me energy in the end.''

"Yes. Only use this power in desperate need. Pain has meaning. Doing this, you can easily ignore or gloss over an injury that will kill you. Don't worry - we'll be testing your limits with lightning later.

"Technically, this means you can torture people for power. Don't do it. You'll never get enough, and I'll have to kill you.

"So you want to become the Sith'ari. To claim that title, what will you need?"

Resen took a moment to think.

''Influence my Master....power in the force...wisdmom...power...energy...carefull planing and coordination....clear public identity....people backing you...but use them wisely...and determination for winning!''

"Good. You will need to cultivate influence. But there are things that will help with your quest. Money, for example. More ancient Sith artifacts. You can gain prestige by succeeding against other Sith, Jedi, criminals, and so forth.

"Something of your reputation has gotten out among the Sith Empire. I've been careful as to just how much.

"Tell me. What kinds of sith artifacts could be useful to your quest?"

"Interesting," said Kelen. "I'm not one for physical destruction, or telekinesis in general. You won't get an accurate baseline reading off this." She ignored the crystal and reached out. The slab of metal shivered.

"My first Master," she said absently, "could see the flaws in anything, and hit it just so - crack or crumble anything. She tried to teach me but I never could learn it. Still, let me see..."

The slab rose off the floor; she closed her eyes, stepped forward, and slammed a fist down on the floating slab with a sound like the galaxy's greatest bell. The slab of metal split neatly into six pieces, which fell to the deck.

"Split it along the lattices," she said, exhaling. "I hope that gives you what you're after."

"Not interested? Well, a holocron would do you good if you could find one, yes. Most of the surviving ones have been claimed. But what I meant was the other artefacts of the ancient Sith. Things like the Mask of Tulak Hord, the axe of King Adas, the amulets of Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma. These things would be important, and many Sith would follow whoever found and controlled such artefacts.

"Go do some research. Find out what there is to be found, and I'll tell you if the artefact you choose still exists or is still to be found."

Resen heard the name Exar Kun and it stuck in his head.He got to some terminal he found after the end of the dinner with Velok and tried to find information and start the research on the great Sith and his amulet.

After long hour reading and reading he knew he wanted to find this he then returned to Velok and smiled.

''If i had to find one i would look for Exar Kun's Amulet my Master!''

"That would be difficult," he said. "Exar Kun's temple on Yavin IV was recently raided by a Sith group, and his holocron was taken. I don't know if the amulet was there, or elsewhere on the planet, but it's almost certainly on Yavin IV, which has a military presence. If you can sneak past the ships patrolling the system, you might find it, or you might find nothing.

"Another choice would be better, but it's up to you."

And so Resen did.He spent some hours in his library and returned ready. He tried to watch carefully over his choice but he was a natural borned leader and he wanted the best even if sometimes they were out of reach.

For a moment he paused his search and before going back to Velok he thought of Folai...he wanted to ak Velok where she was and what she was doing because he had feelings for her...at least some like...and he also heard while travelling at the convoy to Jade Empire she was in HoloNet GNN as bounty hunter trophy. He stops his thoughts when he presented himself infront of Velok.

''Epistle of Marka Ragnos,Marka Ragnos' gauntlets,Glove of Darth Vader,Bracers of Najus,Mask of Darth Nihilus,i want some of them Master...at least one..but i am too high on expectations.I know i cant find those things for various reasons but i have another goal....

But really Master...pay attention to this...i would give everything...do everything...for Darth Tyrannus's sword...i want it so bad...''

He watched as Velok started to response.

''I think you might say it was destroyed after the Invisble Hand was destroyed and his corpse was burned but i have a feeling and heard stories in my trips...i asked for it..because it was my long desire and i want to go after it now...it is still on Coruscant lying in some Coruscanti's hands...no force user's but mercant or salesman..possibly unable to igniatate but with my crystal it will!

I want it in my collection...and in my life...my sith artifact it would be..Master i know you will help me...''He looked at him trying to give him to understand how important it was for him to aquire such a valuable trophy..the lightsaber of such a great sith lord...a part of history for which he had info where it was...he knew it deep inside him he wouldbe the next Makashi top specialist in the galaxy and wanted to learn and fight from and with this lightsaber.

Rebecca raised a brow. "Well i suppose that will work. Now place this on your head." Rebecca handed her a tiara of sorts, it would feel warm to the touch and at first she wouldn't feel any different once on. But the moment Rebecca switched on the equipment Kelen would feel a drawing sensation, like the force was being sucked from her, but it wasn't at an alarming rate or all that much. More like a steady trickle. "Ok now try that again but direct it through that draw you feel but also think a command to strike at the other plate. I know that sound contradicting but its how this works at the moment. That sort of dual thinking can be a little difficult for someone who hasn't become a Shorapka Pilot."
"This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode."
