Is there anything to do in Minneapolis in the dead of winter?

Post by Starlight »

Asking for a friend. And by friend I mean me. Me who is not thrilled at having to be there for 3-4 days on business.

Mall of America?

I don't really know. I've only been there once, and I was like seven years old.

But the Mall of America had roller coasters and an entire store dedicated to LEGO, so it was pretty great.

Build a snowman? Build a snow fort? Stay inside and avoid the cold all together?

I've never been there, but I've got a pretty good idea how their winters are. :oldrazz:

I realize the irony of living in the Pacific Northwest... But I really don't like to do the whole "snow" thing :P

So yes... I will be indoors as much as possible.

You could stop in and visit my grandma! Just tell her you know me and an awkward situation will become only slightly less awkward... >.>

Two good reasons to stay indoors, I say

I don't know where y'all live. I only have so much brain capacity to keep track of stuff. ><

I do now, Mir :)

I'm with Pryngles. I barely keep track of my own address.

Seriously Pryde, I could check a bag, stuff you in it and take ya with. I'm routing through SeaTac.

I would even be willing to share my in-flight ginger ale and complementary pretzels.

Honestly, I was suggesting that Archiekins and I could just show up on Pryngles' grandmother's doorstep. BUT, we could make an event out of it.

There's a Hoth scene that could be accomplished, I would hope, if Minneapolis has snow.

@JaggieBoBaggie
You'd be so happy if I showed up at your place in Denmark, don't lie to me.

I've just got this image in my head of munching sounds coming from the overhead storage compartment and the old lady sitting behind you is like losing her mind. Like it's one of those perfectly timed comedy sketches where every time she looks the munching stops. :P

Happy might not be the appropriate word :oldrazz:

Word. Ecstatic would be more appropriate. I just didn't think we were being that open in public. :D

I don't know about "ecstatic", either. But it'd be a positive emotion - even in your case. :oldrazz:

I almost didn't wear my coat to work today but I remembered it's supposed to rain. Now it's even warmer, 50 degrees.
