Or we could borrow xfiend's idea and set the cantina outside of time an space so that it can be on any planet at any time. ;)

If each post is its own isolated story then location doesn't really matter, does it?

You guys have a really good point. It seems that the idea of having it exist outside of a specific location allows for more freedom in writing.

With that being said, I have an idea. What if it works similar to the TARDIS, in that it is bigger on the inside, and can also travel.

The location can only be spotted by a singular bouncer who is always guarding the door. And this door/bouncer can show up on any location at any time.

If we're going to use this as an actual place in the MBT I'm going to have to say a negative on that. That would open a VERY large door for others to use fantastical equipment from other movies or series that are not Star Wars.

Before you know it, we'll have other time warping items, Mech Robots, Federation Starships, etc, etc. that have nothing to do with Star Wars.

That is 'if' using this on the MBT. In the story forum, it's all good.

Does it have to? I used the idea of the TARDIS only as reference. My thought was that it would be a place that can show up anywhere at anytime. Beyond that ONE rule of breaking the time/space continuum... ALL other natural laws of science apply as they would normally within the Star Wars Universe.

I maybe explaining something poorly, in which case I can try and explain it differently. This option is more to leave it open.

Though I will say, it if is any sort of a problem, then I would quickly suggest a specific location so as not to throw off the ideas of the mbt.

2 main thoughts:
1st, if it is limited to one location, it can be used as a real location in other stories that are written in Exodus.
2nd, if it has no specific location, it limits its usage to just the one individual thread, but allows for those writing in it to place it in whatever location works for their short story.

Or the thread could just be a collection of different cantina stories. Each post is its own story on its own planet in its own cantina, basically. If you want to go with the "TARDIS" idea or "outside space time" thing, though, then I concur with Nich that you should probably post that on the Story Forum.

That helps answer the question. We will keep it limited to one location... Tattooine... In line with the present timeline (2 years before FA) and available as individual stories, introducing characters, practice, or searching feedback.

With this being said, main characters should probably not be posted on this thread unless it makes logical sense that that character would interact with a bar on Tatooine.

Does that sound like it would work?
This or completely unelated stories placed on the Story Forum?

Oh, my character on the 'Alone' thread is 'definitely' making a stop at the Cantina. :)

Personally I would prefer the 1 established location. You're basically setting up, in a sense, the Exodus Cantina. A location that actually exists in the MBT where other members can bring their characters for a little R&R, or just passing through, or a setting away from their 'busy' stories and use the place as an opportunity to build their character a little more.

It is settled, it is the Exodus Cantina, in a fixed location (Tatooine), as part of the Exodus MBT canon, and a place to relax for any character.

Welcome to the Exodus Cantina!!!
