Extremely Excited LOA

Post by Enriler »

I am excited to say that I will not be available for the next week and a half. And here's why.

I am currently participating in an intense writing bootcamp with a literary agent that is helping me hone my query letter and first five pages. The beauty, is that I have spent the last two weeks with Tom Leveen (an awesome author. If I can recommend anything to you, it would be his book SICK) and he has already helped me hone my query and first few pages. The reason this is so awesome, is that if the literary agent who is helping me decides that my query and pages are good to go, then he has the option to ask for additional pages.

Essentially, if all goes well, my life will change dramatically for the better. In the next two weeks, it is possible that I will have a literary agent. Fingers and toes crossed.

If you pray, please pray for me. If you send good vibes, please do that.

Either way, I will see you in a week and a half.

And I'm sure I'll be able to respond to this specific thread or any private messages, they just won't be a priority during this time.

You guys are awesome... keep being awesome. Shoutout to the awesomeness of Pryde, Star, Xal, Shaggy, Jag and Mir. :) You all have had a direct influence on my participation in this forum, and I am super grateful for that. If I forgot anyone, I'm sorry.

It's a good thing I've been MIA, I tend to be the rebellious type of influencer.

Hey, I just wanted to give an excerpt from my query. Just wanted to share this

"Fables are more than bedtime stories. They are legends, chronicles of disregarded history. Details have been lost over the years, but to the characters that lived them, these stories were only the beginning.

She administers death— this Alice from Wonderland. The leader of the Sicari Assassins, the Great Reaper, and the one who disrupts Peter Pan’s whimsical life.

Peter unknowingly thwarts a Sicari assassination attempt, forcing Alice to proactively stop Peter Pan from further interference. To do this, the Sicari kill Wendy and her daughter, Jane. Peter begins to seek out the assassins. But no matter how many assassinations he prevents, or how many Sicari he kills, his retribution will not conclude until he defeats Alice."

It's coming along very well. I learned that there were some specific adjustments I needed to make to the entire manuscript (nothing huge, but something somewhat time consuming) so I will be re-querying in about 3 weeks. Though, I am now ready to start posting on Exodus again. Sorry for the break
