S.H.I.E.L.D.: Shadowblade (Mature)

Post by Mir »

Matthew Hunt dealt with specific S.H.I.E.L.D. interests. He wasn't a part of the contingency that was under Gabrielle Myers's command in the heart of Central Park currently attempting to stop a giant black rose from consuming a large portion of Manhattan. He could have been, but Nick Fury had decided that there were more important things for him to do. More important things like Allyson Parks, and the alien entity that had bonded to her. S.H.I.E.L.D. had a bit of information on the subject, but besides what little they had, they knew next to nothing about it. They had offered her a job and she had accepted it. Half the battle was going to be understanding what it was exactly that the alien entity could do. So when he rose that morning and went to his kitchen, with the news on, he was only mildly concerned about everything that was going on in Central Park. He knew Gabrielle, codenamed Feather. She would do a good job. She was on, after all, S.H.I.E.L.D. One, the premier response team of the organization. Up until a certain point in time, S.H.I.E.L.D. One could have been considered to have been stronger and more powerful, as a group, than the Avengers.

But that was an argument for a different day.

For right now, he was flipping eggs in a pan and making himself breakfast. If he was needed for the Central Park situation, he would be called in. But he doubted it. Paul Matthews and the Fantastic Five were there. Why they were called the Fantastic Five when they only had four members was beyond Hunt, but he didn't concern himself with things like that. The names that people chose for themselves, it didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was what they brought to the table. As he set about putting a few pieces of bacon into the same skillet, he reached into his fridge once more and brought out a bowl with dough in it. He began to prepare the biscuits.

Once they were in the oven, it was just a waiting game. He had already filed his report on Allyson and how he had convinced her to join S.H.I.E.L.D. They were supposed to meet up and get her situated with what she would be doing with the organization. He had been given the position of her handler, and it was a job that he was going to take seriously. He knew the consequences if he messed up. Her powers were incredible, and the damage that she could even accidentally do were great. They needed to make sure that she could properly control her powers.

Breakfast was quick and easy and soon Matthew was on his way to the address that he had given Allyson, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s American headquarters on a man made island just off the south coast of Long Island itself.

OOC: Wasn't sure what to name the thread, but I figure we can edit down the road.

The breeze briskly blew through her hair as she watched distant buildings go by during the uneventful ride to the "Island" not exactly at the moment remembering the name of it but knowing this is where she had been escorted to at this point. Her arms remained crossed at her chest, hugging her own form tightly, at first she felt a bit uneasy about the whole ordeal but over the past few days she began to feel a little bit easier about it. She knew to a limited extent of her capabilities but had heard rumors of the expanded possibilities if "Shadowblade" had gotten out of control, the sheer devastation it could cause, and they had mentioned under their breath something about evil influences.

"Now I'm not sure what that means..."

She mumbled to herself as the boat came to a soft halt at their destination, usually around this time of year it would be a bit brighter during the day but it was a big foggier than normal it seemed, perhaps that was just how it was supposed to be, or perhaps this was planned who knows. She quietly walked along the dock, her eyes squinting against the misty spray of fog as it gently hit her face, a gloved hand coming up to brush away lightly soaked strands of brown-blonde hair, she came to a halt as she noticed a dark figure standing a few feet infront of her, concealed by the thickening fog

"Matt, is that you?"

She approached closer, noticing the figure slowly take shape and indeed it was Matthew, a deep relieved sigh escaped her lips as she offered him a soft smile, her gloved hand brushing away a few more stands of darkened hair. Her arm fell back down to meet the other still crossed around her chest, wrapping about her form as if she were trying to keep off the wet chill that seem to encompass her, the voice within her mind echoing a slight warning at first "Be Wary" but then eventually it subsided causing that elevated feeling to fade away, almost causing her to say it was paranoia for the moment.

"Interesting place we have here, and what nice weather to accomidate it...could have sworn they said it was going to be sunny today...?"

"As long as it's not pouring buckets of rain, I'm a happy camper." Matthew said, pausing for a moment of introspection. "I really do dislike the rain." He added. "Anyway, let's get you inside before the weather gets any worse."

Matthew turned and guided her to a small hovercraft. When they got inside, he grabbed the controls and lifted upwards, heading towards a small opening in the large building that dominated the island. "It's been decided that I'm going to be your handler. I'm your contact within the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. I'll be able to answer any of your questions and if I can't, then I go to the guy above me. And I report to the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury."

"What is it exactly that I'll be doing?" Allyson asked.

"Well, you're going to be working in a unit that you will head up. This unit will be dealing with a large number of threats of interesting types and proportions." He said as they landed and got out. They were in a large, cavernous hangar that was filled with people and with hovercraft just like the one that they had just gotten out of. "We're on our way now to meet with Nick Fury. You probably won't see him too many times after this, if you're doing your job right."

“-If- I’m doing my job right?” She smirked softly, well it wasn’t really a smirk it could almost have been considered a sinister sneer that wasn’t of her normal caliber. She felt it for a moment that edge felt in combat, that entity which gave her the push over every other life form on this planet “You know he means well…” She chuckled softly allowing the smirk to fade away hopefully before he could notice it. The soft hues of amber reflected the numerous shades of light as they passed by the people, different hovercraft and items within the vast hanger. For a brief moment her vision blurred causing her to shut her eyes forcefully, and there she saw it, the internal images flashing rapidly through her mind and almost too fast to comprehend but a few were slow enough to cause her to gasp for air.

In the center of dark red flames that seemed to lash out from the corners of darkness, was herself encased fully in the Shadowblade armor with a figure of a man standing behind her, the mention of a child born from the seed a of a mortal man, the influence of evil and the presence of light dissipated from the weapon of alien origin which bonded with her many years ago. Suddenly and almost instantly she was ripped from that distant reality when the warmth of the tendrils from Shadowblade crept up the right side of her neck and slowly branched out the right side of her face causing her eye to shift from a light amber to a dark reddish amber hue. It was as if the alien entity was grasping her face, comforting her, a whisper in the back of her mind echoed the warmth she felt encompassing her face “Impossible…” a singular word of comfort? What did he mean impossible? For evil to influence her? Or him?

She felt Matthew’s presence stir next to her as they arrived to their destination, the man was either unaware of the situation or chose to ignore it. She didn’t dismiss Shadowblade, allowing it to remain branched out on the right side of her face, it felt right and it soothed the disturbing thoughts that kept playing through her mind. “Mortal man?” She whispered to herself, she bit the bottom of her lip in thought, looking down at the ground for a moment and then up to Matthew. “Will Director Fury be giving me my first assignment, or will you?” She paused for a moment “And what about cover, will I be working for someone in particular, you know the normal questions…”

Matthew did indeed ignore the sight of the Shadowblade in use. A part of him hadn't been able to resist looking at her while she was in that form. He didn't know the full capabilities of the item, but he did know that it was powerful. He kept his eyes front, but he had looked at her out of the corner of his eye. Aside from the spectacle that it was to see some part of the Shadowbloade in action, it was something else entirely on Allyson herself. Already stunning, it gave her an ethereal sense of beauty, and he couldn't help but be attracted to her even more than he already was. He shook his head slightly, knowing that something like that was just going to get him in trouble, whether it was with his superiors or in actual danger. Either way, there was nothing wrong with looking every once in a while, as long as he remembered not to touch. Hopefully that wouldn't be that big of a problem.

"Fury wants to talk with you, that's all I know. I'm assuming that you're going to get your first assignment from him. As to a cover, I'm sure that you can discuss that with him now when we meet with him." Matthew said.

They were in the main levels of the building now. Matthew sometimes wondered what had happened to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarriers that the organization had fielded back in the day. he was pretty sure that it made sense to bring those back. He wasn't sure what the problem was, but he knew that Fury was a guy who planned more than ten steps ahead of everyone else. So he didn't think too much about it, just that he was reminded of the attack a few years ago, that had killed a number of S.H.I.E.L.D. people and had almost killed Derek Sheppard, then Captain America.

The two of them walked into Nick Fury's office. The man himself was sitting in one of the chairs in the office, looking over something on an iPad looking thing. He looked up at them when they walked in. The office itself was spartan, but it had it's moments of luxury. An interesting human element was the presence of a picture frame on the main desk. Matthew had never seen the picture in the frame, and he doubted that anyone else ever had. Fury was, if anything, fastidious about keeping his secrets.

"Director Fury, this is Allyson Parks, possessor of the Shadowblade." Matthew said.

"Good morning, Ms. Parks. You're probably wondering what it is that you're going to be doing for S.H.I.E.L.D." Fury said, rising and shaking Allyson's hand. He leaned against his desk. "Well, for one, you're not going to be a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. One. I'd offer to put you in S.H.I.E.L.D. Two, but the restructure that they're going through in Germany at the moment is keeping them a little occupied and I don't want to add a new person into the mix."

"So what then?"

"You're going to be your own unit. I don't fully know what that Shadowblade of yours can do. I'm interested in finding out. We're going to have you set up as a your own unit, with Matthew here as your handler and liaison to me. Any questions you have, after today, you'll ask him. If he doesn't know, he'll come directly to me."

"What do you want me to do?"

"First, we're going to have to test you to see what is and what isn't within your capabilities. Does the Shadowblade give you additional strength? If so, how much? What other things can you do with it? Once we have all that information, then we'll proceed with figuring out what tasks we can give you. If you can stop someone like the Hulk, I don't want you on the streets catching petty thieves." Fury said. He paused. "Leave that to Spiderman. He likes doing that." Fury added. He looked back at Allyson. "You have a choice to be an outright agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. or to have a cover. Which would you prefer?"

She could feel the presence of Shadowblade slip from the side of her face and withdraw back to it’s origins. She felt the flux of emotions from Matthew as he stood beside her, for a moment she felt a flutter surge through her own mind and heart causing her to take a deep breath and exhale deeply. A soft smile curled about her lips as she listened to Director Fury “Handler huh?” Thoughts of her and Matthew embraced tightly, kissing passionately, bodies intertwined...that voice returned to her mind "Mortal man...will come...his future is filled with darkness because of you, a man in a suit will come for you and put you through the ultimate test by trying to take everything away from you" The voice paused for a moment causing her to blink for a moment, a disgruntled look coming to her face making her turn away from the two men to avoid them noticing. "If you fail, darkness will consume you...and all will be lost....."

"Mixed messages, confusing words, what the hell did all this mean? I'm sick of all these damned puzzles damn you..just tell me already." She quickly allowed the disgruntled look to fall away from her face, turning back to Director Fury.

She raised a slender eyebrow as she continued to listen to his speech about being Shadowblade needing to undergo tests, for a moment she was disappointed for them not knowing the full capabilities of their newest addition but in retrospect she knew herself that she even didn’t know it’s full capabilities. “First, I guess we should see what SHIELD teachers decide to grade me on…and of course I would prefer to have a cover Director...and the reason is simple” She paused for a moment and waved her right hand. “I’d rather avoid any extra attention…”

"Then we'll get to work preparing a cover for you. I'll review your military file and see what we can come up with, that'll work with what you've done in the service." Fury said. "I'll leave you to Matthew, who'll take you to the research areas so we can get started on all those tests." The man said and put on his best convincing act of a smile. "Welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D."

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

"And that was Director Fury." Matthew said as they stepped out of the office. He put a smile on his face. "He was actually rather tame today."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, he can be a bit...on the more interesting side, some days. Interesting being an...interesting word to use."

"Interesting."

"You're catching on." Matthew said. They walked from the office back to the elevator. They were headed downstairs to some of the research labs, where they were going to test Allyson to see what she could do.

The walk to the labs weren't very eventful, Matthew at times was hard enough to read emotionally, he could be quite the roller coaster, ups and downs...but it would seem as if it only occured when her Shadowblade came out to play. It was as if there was something about it made her more attractive, more deadly or perhaps it was just her in general. There wasn't any way to gauge it at the moment, now it was time for work. A sigh escaped from her lips as she turned her head slightly around the large room filled with various diagnostic machinery, sub-rooms and a door leading to obviously an area filled with what might have some excitement...this only came to her due to the fact the door was had caution labels written all over it.

"I guess let's get started...."
She pointed towards the doors, a gentle shrug rolling off her shoulders as she quickly took off her jacket to reveal a slender and form fitting outfit. Each and every curve of her body could be seen through the tight black mesh save for the gleaming metalic looking bracelet around her wrist. She gently knelt down to the floor and focused for a moment, thinking briefly back to a moment of pain..of misery, sorrow...generally she didn't need to call on Shadow like this, he just came to her...but this was testing...this was different. Within a split second the symbiote overcame her entire form, wrapping about her tightly, making the mesh seem like it was nothing unlike before it didn't shred everything insight, instead it covered it and concealed it. It gently wrapped up the sides of her neck and only covered her face partially, her hair shifting colors to a more reddish tint, the inner portions of her eyes shifting as well. Sharpened fingernails extended from her fingertips, scratching into the smooth metal surface of the floor. She rose smoothly, almost catlike and gracefully walked to the door, gently pushing it open and allowing it to close softly behind it with a soft click.

"Alright Allyson, we're going to do a series of tests to measure how much weight you can lift..now it isn't recommended you toss anything but as you can see..." Matthew paused for a moment to allow her to look around at the damaged walls. "Some can get carried away....I'm going to start out easy for you and go with 1 ton..alright?"

Her voice was different than normal, having an odd yet alluring flange to it "1 ton is a joke..." The center of the floor opened up to reveal a series of obviously weighted blocks, each reading the different measurements of weights in which they weighed but there was a catch, as there always was with this organization. A crane lifted each weight up, obviously operated by Matthew and dropped them down ontop of her in order to simulate something being dropped or thrown at her. "Now that isn't playing very nice is it...." She paused as she watched the first large block being lifted up above her and suddenly in the back of her mind the sensation of danger went off, causing her to reflexes to kick in, just as the massive block came crashing down ontop of her.

Nothing in the world could have prepared her for even a singular ton of dead weight, she groaned loudly and even hissed as the ground beneath her cracked under the pressure and with a loud yell she pushed off with her feet and sent the block hurling into the air to slam harshly against the wall causing a loud crash and a brief tremor through the ground. She panted briefly, her mind slightly racing, her heart pounding. "You didn't say anything about them being thrown at me Matthew..." She turned towards the observation area and shot a glare at him, just as the second sensation went off in the back of her mind..the crane? Moving!?

WHAM! The 2 ton block slammed into her like nothing had ever hit her before, the tendrils had gripped into it to prevent it from crushing her body but this time instead of throwing it, she merely lifted it pushing it up and over head and with another yell she allowed the Shadowblade to expand and the block exploded above her, sending shards of rock in different directions. "You have to be on your toes Allyson...The enemy won't be so forgiving..."

He didn't bother with 5 tons, he knew if she could shred 2 tons of weight like that, he might as well double the ante on her. He had nothing but faith in her, or was it more than faith? He brought the crane down with the 10 ton block like a hammer on a nail and the girl reacted just as he had expected..she was more than ready for it.

Allyson's hands slammed into the center of the block, gripping it from within and with a harsh yank, the sound of metal and steel grinding and breaking filled the chamber as the crane began to collapse from the sudden counter-balance of weight, her heart was racing and sweat was beading from her forehead and man was she pissed at this point. She brought the 10 ton block down ontop of the crane harshly, slamming it into several pieces, shattering it into near dust. Her breathing was hard as she turned to shoot a glare through the debris and dust towards the observation area, but she wasn't done, she cried out in anger and in pain and brought her fists down into the 25 ton block of steel. Her muscles strained, her back arched, the Shadowblade howled out through her as she lifted, the most anguished cries of agony and anger filled the chamber as she brought it over her head and with a single turn, she hurled the steel right into the base of the crane. The most astonishing sounds of objects colliding filled the chamber, it sounded as if a train had derailed in a small confined space.

All that could be heard after the heavy clanking of pipes stopped, the sound of the crumbling rocks and the anguished cries of the beast within, was the heavy breathing...

"Well it would appear that you either are really tired or twenty five tons is your limit." Matthew said into the intercom system.

"Cute." Allyson replied, her voice heavy still from the breathing. "Why don't you come down here and we'll see if I can lift you?"

"No, I'm positive you can lift me." Matthew said, bemused. "But before you could try that, you have to be in one piece."

"What do you-Matthew, why are there gun barrels appearing from the walls?"

"Time to test your durability and your reflexes. Get ready."

Matthew pushed a series of buttons, and the guns started firing, slowly, but randomly. They would ramp up their firing rates over time, to see how well she could move around them. They would also be firing rubber bullets. If she was indeed unable to deflect actual rounds, they didn't want to find out the hard way.

"Oh what an asshole..." The first bullet zipped by and clipped her hair causing her to jerk to the right, the Shadowblade responded and she knelt down and turned to the left. Tendrils lashed out in response and formed a small shield around herself, she titlted it slightly causing the bullets to reflect off and bounce around the room, within a moments notice the rate of fire began to increase at such a rate the shield became useless. It was now as if a machine gun was firing at it, she growled low in her throat and was on the move.

She pushed off with her left foot and leaped into the air, twisting her body around, her hands coming up to slam into the wall, gripping tightly just as a barrage came at her and with that she pushed off allowing them to impact harshly against wall. She hit the ground with a soft thud and began to sprint across the floor, heading directly towards the observation area, a smirk curled about her lips as she moved right and left, avoiding bullet after bullet. She leaped off her feet and came end over end, her right hand pushing her body over a pile of debris, her body twisting enough to where her feet impacted the glass enough to cause a loud thud, hopefully enough to scare him and within a split second she was gone. The bullets that seemed to be tracing her followed suit and impacted against the glass harmlessly, as amusing as his reaction would be, she'd have to gauge it later, now she was in the air. She leaped off the glass, pushing herself into the center of the room, hoping the barrels would follow.

With a burst of concentration, she lashed outwards, sending a barrage of sharpened tendrils out in each direction and a swift motion downwards and a sharp hiss the firing stopped for a moment, the barrels seemed to hang there and as soon as she began to fall to the ground, the barrels did the same. Three additional tendrils lanced outwards and smashed into the sidewalls assisting her in her fall, slowing her down enough for her to gracefully touch down to the ground gently. As her feet touched the ground, they began to withdraw back into the comfort of their host, The sounds of metal clanking and hitting the ground surrounded the room as she graciously walked over to the observation glass, bringing a black encased hand up to it, knocking on it gently "That all you got big boy...?"

"Funny you should ask that." Matthew said and reached over on the control panel and flipped a switch. He wasn't going to lie, her little stunt had shaken him for a moment, but he was back to being the calm, debonair S.H.I.E.L.D. agent that he always was. She wasn't going to get past him that easily. He watched as there was a slight hum and then the floor on her side of the protective glass exploded with blue electricity. It wracked the place, leaving her no room to go. It was time to see how much pain she could take and what protection this Shadowblade afforded her. He knew that if she jumped, the rest of the walls were programmed to start discharging electricity as well. There was no way for her to avoid it.

"What the..." The impact of the electricity sent her flying backwards and into the opposite wall, it had been harsh from the start, Matthew offered her no get out of jail free card. She cried out in pain, her cries of pain echoed by the Shadowblade's own, her voice going almost demonic as she struggled to regain control of her own body. She withered in pain as she struggled to stand, her hands grasped the metal floor, her sharpened talons digging into it harshly as the tendrils of blue electricity lashed out and struck her left and right, wrapping about her form. The Shadowblade responded to the pain of it's host by lashing out wildly, the pain building within her, the anger of the beast within gathering, it's strength only building from the obvious distress.

Her fists began impaling the floor harshly with each impact of the bolt of electricity against her, she could feel the voltage increasing, stream rising off of her body as she finally rose to her knees, her hands clenching into fists tighter, drawing her own blood. Her eyes began shifting colors, turning darker red by the second, the pain was becoming too much, darkness threatening to overcome her "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!" She cried out in a demonic warcry as she slammed her fists into the ground one final time and suddenly all hell seem to break lose in the room.

She arched her back harshly, jerking back with a snapping motion, attempting to rise to her feet. Slowly she came to her feet, and with a quick motion her arms snapped outwards, massive tendrils expanded from her back, they were shaped almost like hammers. She swung them harshly at the glass, her intentions of bashing the wall outwards escaping this hell which she was in or die trying.

It was the cracking of the glass that made Matthew turn the electricity off. There were cameras on his side of the treated and reinforced glass, that were monitoring everything that was happening. There were sensors on Allyson's side that were picking up her vitals. He didn't care what the rest of the tests were. He'd seen enough and the S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists could go to hell if they tried to make him keep going. Allyson had had enough. He toggled the intercom. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Take the time you need before telling me off, you probably need it." Matthew said.

The feeling of the electricty withdrawing from her body caused her to shake for a moment, she just stood there and stared at the cracked glass for a moment, blinking away tears. A sense of humanity returned to her as she collapsed to her knees, the tendrils withdrawing back into her back, her hands unclasping from fists, blood dripping down onto the floor, forming slight pools before the wounds slowly closed up thanks primarily to the healing advancements of the Shadowblade. She just breathed deeply, staring intently at the cracked glass, for a moment the darkness tempted to overcome her again..but soon went away.

Her voice returned to that normal level of alluring flange it had before, no longer sounding demonic as it had before when she was under such distress. "Mat..t" A heavy sigh pressed from her lips as she looked down at the floor, softly chuckling as a little blood dripped from the corner of her mouth. Her amber colored eyes returning to a normal reddish-amber hue as they do when she is wielding Shadowblade at a normal level. "You thought you had me didn't you?"

"Didn't want to take the chance." Matthew replied evenly as he exited the protected area and stepped towards her. He knelt by her and reached a hand out, lifting her head upwards by putting a couple fingers underneath her chin. "After all, if the S.H.I.E.L.D. computers on easy setting can beat ya, you don't stand much chance against the real deal do you?" He asked, a small smile on his face. He was about to say more, when his communication device went off. He checked it, scrolling over the information on the screen. "Ah. It would appear that the scientists got all the information that they need." Matt said. "The consensus is superhuman strength, in between Class 20 and Class 30. Superhuman reflexes, and superhuman durability, to a point with the second one. No word yet on what they'd classify it at though."

"Oh?"

"No." He replied. "You also possess a rather rapid healing factor. Obviously, you can shoot the tendrils and all of that though. And we have word on your cover." He said, looking at her with a smile. "Need a hand up?" He asked, his voice gentling. It was obvious that despite what he'd said he was concerned and wanted to reassure himself that she was okay.

She chuckled softly and gently brought her hand to meet his own, she gently wrapped it about his hand, her fingers intertwining with his, but she didn't stop there. Something overcame her causing her heart to flutter, her emotions were running wild and her heart was on the rise , beating like a wild drum in her chest. Her eyes changed to their normal amber hue as she leaned up, closing her eyes slowly, her lips pursed as she gently pressed them against his own. With her lips locked against his, she gently pushed her body up against him. She couldn't help it, something was drawing her to him, there was something about this man that was just attractive, or was it the Shadowblade? Her heart was racing, her mind was chaotic, her thoughts were like a chaotic river that was drowning her normal behavior in a stream of lust.

"Oh god what am I doing!?" She thought as she jerked back suddenly, her face turning a bright crimson as she withdraw her hand suddenly and suddenly pushed herself up and onto her feet "I'm..so so..sorry...I don't know..what happened..."

The kiss had thrown Matthew for a deep curve ball. He wasn't going to lie, he had been thinking for a while now about what she'd taste like. She'd tasted like nothing he'd ever had before. Wickedly good. She was still utilizing the Shadowblade, so he knew that, but he'd also been wondering what Allyson Parks herself tasted like. He doubted that he'd ever get a chance to taste that side of her. She was beautiful, alluring. He'd have to be out of his mind to not want her. "Don't worry about it." Matthew said, his tone making it seem as though beautiful women unconsciously desired to make out with him all the time. If his track record with women said anything, it gave some credence to that notion. "It's fine." He said, rising and pulling her with him. "I-I guess we should find out about your cover then?" He asked, turning and heading out of the room, beckoning her to follow him.

She nodded softly and walked behind him, the Shadowblade armor withdrawing from her form, revealing her features again. She followed closely to Matt, trying to feel out his emotions and with that something in her mind triggered as she turned her thoughts inward, growling in her mind at the Shadowblade.

"Are you crazy!? Why would you do such a thing?!"

"It was your own feelings and your own body that did that mistress, you acted on your own. Your true feelings came to light, you just couldn't control yourself." The voice paused for a moment, a soft and low chuckle echoed in her mind. "It was as if you were under the influence of a toxin and unable to control yourself...your feelings for him are stronger than you give yourself credit for."

"That is the longest conversation we have had in the history of your existence of us being bonded...so you had nothing to do with it..?" She was skeptical at first but deep down within, she knew it was speaking the truth.

"Indeed, I had nothing to do with it mistress..." The voice fell silent shortly after, leaving her to wonder. She gently stopped in her tracks for a moment, looking around the area for any cameras or any devices which could see what they were doing. Ok, free and clear. "Matthew..stop.."

They were walking through a storage area on their way to the elevators which would take them upwards to the offices. He knew which section they needed to head to, it wouldn't take them long to get there. He was thinking about what he needed to do in regards to a few other things, he was trying to think about something, anything that how she looked in that Shadowblade and how badly he wanted to just take her. It wasn't going to help the situation that he was in and for all he knew it was just going to make their professional relationship bad. He didn't want to get off on the wrong foot with her, no matter how beautiful she was. He respected her and he respected the time that she had spent in the Army. He himself had been in the Army before coming over to S.H.I.E.L.D. and-

"Matthew..stop..."

He came to a stop, as her voice broke through his thoughts. He turned, looking over his shoulder at her. "What's wrong? Are you feeling okay?" He asked, thinking that it had something to do with everything that the tests had put her through.

She had to atleast show him some level of gratitude, something outside of the Shadowblade, something of Allyson herself. She sighed heavily and took a deep breath, her heart fluttering as she quickly came up to him and brought her arms around his shoulders, a soft smile curling about her lips as she whispered "You know, I want you to know..I appreciate everything you've done.." She closed her eyes and gently pressed her lips against his, but this time it was different. Instead of just lip locking, she opened her mouth to his own, passionately kissing him. Her tongue intertwining, dancing with his own she pressed her body up against his, embracing him tightly. She moaned softly in his mouth, as thoughts drifted through her mind "Oh god I can't believe I'm doing this..." One of her hands roamed up from behind his neck and gently began to run through his hair, her fingers pushing through his locks of hair.

She pushed against him harder, her heart beating against her chest rapidly, no doubt he could feel it even with her breasts pressing against him. Her other hand fell down from his neck and began roaming around his side, to his chest, feeling around and touching every inch of his upper body that she could possibly touch.

As Allyson's hands slid underneath his suit jacket and slid across his chest, Matthew had to wonder whether or not he might as well just give in and see what happened. Technically he would be breaking rules, that he knew. Furthermore, he had a feeling that while it would be good, really good, the "morning" after wouldn't be, and since they had to spend a lot of time around each other from now one, it was probably not the smartest of things to do. But...then she pushed herself further up against him, and he felt his mind going blank as her breasts pushed into his chest. He turned, angling and then pushing so that she went up against the wall. His hands slid downwards to her hips as they continued to kiss. "You taste amazing." He said against her lips, breaking away to breathe for a moment. "And as much as I would like for this to continue, we should probably stop." He said. "This...isn't very professional of me, even if you don't make it easy at all." Matthew said. "But...you're welcome." He managed with a stuttering laugh.

She chuckled softly and gave him a soft and teasing moan as she was pressed against the wall, she was beyond that point at the moment, but that voice returned in her mind, warning her of the temptations which she was about to give into. "Be careful.." She ignored it for the moment and gave him a soft nod, her fingers trailing along his chest for a moment as she withdrew her hand and brought it up to her forehead "Oh man..I really have got to..." She shook her head softly "Yeah you're right..I just..should have.." She straightened herself out for the moment and turned to him, her face slightly flushed.

"Look, I'm normally not like that ok? I respect you..and adore you..for all you have done for me...please just understand that was..just..let's get going ok?" She offered him a slight smile, bit it had a hidden sense of desperation, perhaps guilt behind it. She had done something out of character, something she knew she would regret later and she didn't want him feeling as if she were easy. Perhaps he was smart enough to get the message, or perhaps he'd try something stupid later on. She quickly adjusted the black combat suit she wore and quickly fixed her hair up before moving back into the hallway, walking away from him, now deep in thought. What was she thinking?

Matthew nodded. He didn't consider her behavior to be something that she did on a regular basis. He turned and followed her, attempting to push any thoughts on what had happened out of his mind. It wasn't easy, considering before he could just stare at whatever was in front of him and now, all he could see was her in front of him. Including her shapely rear, clad in the skin tight black combat outfit. Making a mental vow to try harder, he walked into the elevator with her, and pushed the required button. He waited until they had arrived on the proper floor and then he stepped out, this time leading. Damned if he was going to watch her hips sway anymore.

He stopped at one of the desks and smiled at the woman sitting behind it. "Hey there, Clara. I believe I'm supposed to pick something up from you?" He asked.

She nodded and handed him a manilla folder. He took it and opened it, quickly scanning the contents. He turned to Allyson. "Photojournalist." He said. "You're going to work for the New York Reporter, it's a rather large newspaper here in the city, owned by Townsend Media." He added. "Is that okay with you?" Matthew asked.

She could feel his eyes diverting from the back of her head to her back side, a chuckle escaped from her lips as she stood beside him and read the contents of the assignment. She raised a slender eyebrow as she set the paper down on the desk before them "Are you serious?" She looked back down at the paper and then Matthew "Is there a particular reason for this cover or is this just Director Fury having a laugh?" She placed her hands on her hips as she turned to face Matthew, her eyebrow peaking up in question. "I mean I don't mind, don't get me wrong...It just reminds me of other super heroes covers...."

"He could be." Matthew said and then reached into his pocket, producing his wallet. He reached inside of it and pulled out a business card. He handed it to her. Printed on it was: "Matthew Hunt, CEO, Townsend Media." In addition, there was his secretary's name and all the needed numbers to get in touch with him. "Looks like I'm your boss." He said. "Townsend Media is a conglomerate my family owns. I've been running it for a few years now. Great way to keep a handler and an agent together, if you think about it." He added.

"Oh that's dirty..." She brought her arms from her hips up to her chest and folded them across her chest, her eyes narrowing into slits "You know that is such a cheap shot right? Both of you had something to do with this...If you want to keep that close of an eye on me, all you have to do is ask for my phone number." Hah, she fired back. A soft chuckle from the woman behind them caused her to smirk even bigger than before. She noticed Matthew turn a slight crimson, oh blushing, nice..

"Either way, I appreciate you wanting to keep a close eye on me..." She winked slightly and gently leaned close and nudged him "So what's my first assignment "boss"" She casually brought her hands up and made quotation marks as she uttered the word boss, lightly mocking him, chuckling at the same time.

"I already have your phone number, remember?" Matthew said with a twinkle in his eye. "As to your first assignment, you'll have to come in first thing tomorrow morning to my office. I'm sure that my secretary will be able to help you out." He peered over her and then pointed on the card. "That would be her number, and the address is right there too." Matthew added. "I'm sure it'll have to be something spectacular to celebrate the acquisition of a brand new photojournalist though. Something big, I'm thinking, a nice little party." He said.

"So you want me to cover a welcoming party? That is kind of boring isn't it?" She quickly followed him out the door and gently nudged him against the wall, a bit of playfulness never hurt did it? A sigh escaped her lips as she straightened herself out, ok time to get professional then. "Fine, I'll do it, I figured you might want me out on the street to cover something amazing like Spider-Man saves the day again...or something fantastic" She rolled her eyes sarcastically, and gently walked past him, pushing her way through the crowds of individuals moving about their daily routine through the offices. "I'll be there bright and early...and I better get paid for good photography...I don't know how you people found out my hobbies but turning this into a job really..really.." She turned her head to look over at him behind her. "Can take the fun out of things..." She gave him a soft wink before disapearing down the hallway.

0900 HRS, New York Reporter Building, New York City.

Allyson had a rough night as it was and traffic wasn't any easier on her this morning, she was running behind, her satchel clanked against her side and her camera banged harshly against her chest. A loud groan escaped her lips as she pushed through a crowd of people huddling in the lobby discussing recent events in politics causing her to nearly spill her coffee, she growled low in her throat and shot a glance at one of the individuals as he went to say something. With just a smirk on her face she raised her thermos up to him as she slipped into the closing elevator doors. She brought a free hand up to take off her Gucci sunglasses, another sigh pressed from her lips as she pushed them into her satchel and pulled the card out that Matthew had given her "Amazing isn't it..?" She heard a male voice behind her which caused her to turn slightly and look underneath the brim of her grey designer cap she wore, her amber eyes taking in the man for a moment before turning back to stare down at the card. "It's something neat alright..."

"Oh I'm sorry, allow me to introduce myself.." He gently pushed himself closer to her and leaned in, offering her a hand which she quickly took and discarded just as fast "I'm Jimmy, Jimmy Deneson, I'm another photojournalist...and you must be the new girl everyone has been talking about...Allyson right?"

She raised an eyebrow "Damn Matthew, you don't hesitate do you?" She nodded softly to him but kept her eyes down at the ground infront of her, she felt a ping of guilt for a moment as she turned to look at him, taking in his cute looks for a brief second before turning away. "That I am..Allyson Parks..."

"Yeah I've heard alot about you, seen alot of your work...So, tell me Ally..don't mind I call you Ally do you?" He chuckled softly and leaned in closer "What's a hot girl like you doing in photojournalism?"

"Persistent bastard isn't he?" She just offered him a smile as the elevator came to a stop causing people to shift, she quickly looked up to realize it was the floor she was supposed to get off on and quickly slipped out and turned to give him a smile/ "I love the camera..and would do anything for it..."

The man was awestruck as the doors closed, his mouth literally hung open as he stared at her, this was more than enough to brighten her dim morning. She began to laugh briefly, her eyes rolling as she turned swiftly...only to run slap into the secretary Matthew had spoken of, she quickly caught her thermos from spilling on the woman, her eyes taking in the woman before her. ""Oh...I'm sorry...."

"That's not a problem." Jennifer Gold said. She was Matthew Hunt's secretary and she could tell that today was going to be an interesting day for the boss. He had a meeting with Francesca Bryant, and that would never go well, at least for Matthew. He knew that he had it, so she had no doubt that Hunt was already mentally preparing for it. It was coming up shortly too, so she hoped that whoever this lady was, her meeting would be finished quickly. "Jennifer Gold, Mr. Hunt's secretary. And you are?"

"Allyson Parks."

"Ah. The new photojournalist, I'm sure that Mr. Hunt will be able to meet with you shortly." She said.

If the woman knew at all that Allyson worked for S.H.I.E.L.D., it didn't appear on her face. She indicated a seat in the decently plush office. Only a few minutes later, Matthew stepped out of his office. He was dressed in a black suit with a blue tie, as if suits were his uniform and modus operandi. He gave Allyson a smile. "Right on time, Ms. Parks?" He asked.

"I try."

"Glad to hear it. Step into my office for a moment." He said, and beckoned her. He waited until she stepped past him and then he closed the door. "You're not going to be doing any run of the mill pieces, at least, not for long. We have to give you a couple of casual jobs before we can let you drift into the anonymity of working here." Matthew said. "That being stated, you can pursue any article you want, and take whatever photos you want. Think of this as an actual job." He said. "As an aside, how are you?" He asked. "Anything lingering, from yesterday?" He asked.

She took a look around the office for a moment and quietly walked up to the desk and ran a finger across the edge. "You like you secretary don't you?" She raised a slender eyebrow and looked around the room once more, she moved around the edge of the desk and lowered herself down in the large chair. "Mmhm, this is comfy..." She adjusted herself and crossed her legs, she brought her hands up and placed them gently on her knees. "Now, you say any story..that is all fine and dandy..." She paused for a moment and looked around the desk, opening a few drawers and closing them swiftly. "What I'm curious about is how people have already seen my work...I'm curious as to what happened to a certain private collection.." Her voice had turned slightly lethal, her smile slowly fading and her eyes narrowing into slits, if her look could kill he would be dead where he stood.

"I don't know anything about that." Matthew said. "Fury sent over files and had them attached as part of your portfolio. As far as I knew, they were photos that we took from other sources. I haven't seen them, myself." He said. "I would apologize for Fury using them, but Fury does what he wants in order to make sure that everything is how he needs it." He said. A frown flitted over his features for a moment. "Yeah, I like my secretary, I guess. She does a good job and doesn't complain too much when I have to get on someone's case." Matthew added. "What does that have to do with anything?" He asked.

"I wonder which one of your agents he sent in and got into my apartment to get my collection..." She sighed softly and gently uncrossed her legs and shrugged slightly, her face returning to normal as she stood up and stopped suddenly. Her hand came across another draw which appeared to be locked, she gently tugged against it for a moment before raising a slender eyebrow. Shadowblade responded by allowing a tendril to extend from her bracelet and slid within the lock and with a simple twist and the sound of metal breaking, the draw was pulled open. The tendril slipped back within it's confines allowing her free reign to examine the contents of the draw, a slender eyebrow rose as she looked down at the various documents within. "Oh, I bet you both enjoyed these..."

She brought a hand down within the drawer and shifted a few papers around as if she were looking around through the documents, she leaned down and reached beyond the drawer and into her satchel which touched the floor and pulled out a 10x8 photograph. She hid the smirk on her face as she gently brought herself back up and acted as if she pulled it out of the draw and began to examine it within both hands. It was an image of her laying ontop of a white featherbed comforter, adorned in a black lace Victoria's Secret corset and matching briefs, black Gucci Multi-Cutout Stilettos. Her hair was laid out in an angelic fashion and her makeup up was flawlessly done. Her pose was indeed provocative and suggestive, this particular shot was meant for a different kind of magazine or perhaps someone's private collection. "Well..I remember this one..." She gently laid it down on the table and pulled out the center draw and whipped out a sharpie, wrote something on it and signed it, sliding it across the desk when she was finished. Her voice having a sign of lethality to it. "You know, I would have been more receptive if you asked..." She leaned up, obviously trying to hide the smile with a fake frown of dissapointment as she moved out from behind the desk and towards the front of his office, she gently patted him on the chest as she passed by him. "I'll get on the first assignment I see, I'll ensure I blow you away..." She gently gave him a nod before opening the door and allowing it to close harshly behind her.

On the photograph the note read:
"This better not show up in a Maxim spread...and check underneath your desk.."

Matthew followed Allyson out of his office. He could tell that she was upset about what had happened. How upset, he wasn't sure. It was quite possibly embarassment, but he wasn't sure about that either. Whatever it was, didn't matter. He hadn't seen the pictures yet, because he'd assumed that when Fury had sent him the information on what Allyson's cover would be, that Fury had already had some people put together some kind of portfolio to make everything look professional and to allow an easy transition. He hadn't thought that Fury would actually go into Allyson's apartment and take things that were hers. Realistically it shouldn't have come as a surprise to him, he knew Fury, but at the same time, the man who was behind S.H.I.E.L.D. did what he needed to, and bothered with explanations later. That was just the way that he worked. "We need to talk later today." He said, when she turned around, realizing that he had followed her. "I'll buy you lunch." He added.

He headed back into his office and picked up the picture, looking at it. Then he checked under his desk.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Francesca Bryant stepped out of the Mercedes that had brought her to Townsend Media's building. She had gotten back in town a few days ago from having visited Gotham and one of Townsend Media's close business allies, Isaiah Muir. She needed to speak with Matthew Hunt on a number of things, including whether or not he had accepted that blasted invitation to go to her sister's wedding with her. She stepped into the building and instantly the demeanor of the place changed. She wasn't a cold person, and the people who worked there knew it. But they did know that she could be frigid when she wanted to. While she didn't posses a nickname like "ice queen" or something like that, she knew that she was talked about. She was the president of the company after all, and as such she had a right to know what was going on, at all times. She had received the memo, same as everyone else last night, telling them that there was a new photojournalist, Allyson Parks.

The woman paid little attention to the rest of the pople in the lobby as she made her way to the elevator. She had checked her appearance before stepping out of the Mercedes as she always did, but more so when she knew she was going to be around Matthew. She was wearing a blue silk cowl neck blouse with a white pencil skirt. She also had on a white jacket, and she was wearing a pair of her favorite Louboutins, also in white.

She headed into the elevator, for her meeting with Matthew.

She ignored him for the moment, adjusting the satchel on her side as her hand shot out to catch the thermos waiting for her at the secretaries desk. She gently nudged the edge of the desk with her hip and grunted softly. "Damnit" She muttered under her breath, her free hand came down to her hip and gripped it tightly, fingernails digging into the denim shorts she wore. "Still hurts..." She quietly walked away from Matthew's office and towards the elevators looking down at her side, her thermos held close to her, hand still clutching her hip. She carefully lifted her shirt, taking a quick glance around the waiting area infront of the elevators to ensure no one was paying attention before looking back down at her side. From the center of her ribcage to her upper hip was a bruise larger than a softball, but more oval shaped. She frowned in disgust and quickly let her shirt down, grumbling softly as the elevator dinged and without hesitation she walked forward and slammed hard into what she thought was the doors but was indeed a person. Her thermos just happened to be opened and went forward, sending the not so cool coffee onto Francesca...

"Who the hell-" Francesca said. As the coffee burned through the blue silk that was nicely low cut as well to entice Matthew, her eyes narrowed. She stepped out of the elevator and watched as the doors closed. "Who...are you?" She asked. "And you better not tell me that you're an employee here." She added.

"This human stinks of additional pheromone additives to try to entice the men of your species...and she appears to be trying to intimidate you.. The voice of Shadowblade deep within her mind even chuckled, and went silent slowly, giving Allyson a moment to react. She quickly stepped back, her jaw slightly opening in shock. "OH! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for that to happen..." She eyed the blouse and scoffed a little bit "A little low cut don't you think there lady?" She thought to herself, the entire office around them had stopped cold in their tracks, all attention had been diverted to the elevator area with that question asked. "Oh, yeah I'm Allyson..I'm new here..." She didn't bother extending her hand, she just looked down inside her now empty thermos, frowning slightly before looking at the woman's blouse and then her face, she didn't seem as if she were in the mood for proper introductions.

"Allyson...Parks?" Francesca asked after a moment and Allyson nodded. "I see." She said, coldly. "Jennifer?" She called out in a decently strong voice. Jennifer Gold came running, eyes widening as she saw what had happened. Matthew wasn't too far behind, as he'd heard his secretary jump from her desk and go running.

He couldn't help but smirk as he saw what had happened. Allyson turned and looked at him and he gave her a look as if to say "Cute, nice job."

"Ms. Bryant, I apologize on behalf of Ms. Parks. She's new here and-"

"I understand that." Francesca said. She turned and saw Matthew. "Matthew." She said, relief shooting through her voice. "How are we supposed to run a profitable magazine and newspaper company with employees like this?" She said.

Matthew winced. And Francesca had entered ice queen mode. "Well, we're going to aim her at the competition, next time." He said and put an arm around Allyson. "I hired her for smear campaigns and what not."

"Did not." Allyson said, realizing the look that Francesca had given Matthew when she'd seen him and what it meant. "You hired me because I'm pretty."

"Well, that too." Matthew said. "Allyson, this is Francesca Bryant, President of Townsend Media. I have a feeling your pay is going to be docked."

"Hrm, is that so? Well obviously given the fact that is an expensive blouse..I'm sure I'll be paying for it for months.." She rolled her eyes briefly and gently pulled away from Matthew before giving Francesca a soft nod. "I can always run down to the local department store and see if they have a similar blouse, I doubt I can find one that is..cut as low as you would like, but perhaps something a bit more on the conservative side?" She brought her hand out to motion towards the blouse briefly, a smirk curling about her lips. The woman wanted to insult her in a sly manner, she would fire back. "Or perhaps the thrift shops in the Bronx might carry them as well..." She quickly brought her hand down and gently placed her thermos down on a desk next to them. "If it's any consolation...you owe me a cup of coffee...ma'am..now if you all will excuse me, I have to get to work.." She turned to look at Matthew briefly before eyeballing Francesca and then Jennifer, the elevator dinged at the perfect time, allowing her to slide into it perfectly and with a push of a button and a smirk on her face, the doors closed behind her.

She adjusted her satchel for a moment and then down at her Nikon camera, a sigh escaped her lips as she adjusted the camera strap around her neck "Stupid bitch...can tell she is trying to get after Matthew" She brought her hands up to her chest and batted her eyelashes mockingly. "Oh Matthew, save me, I had coffee spilt on my blouse which I shouldn't have worn and might as well walked in naked because it's obvious that I want you!" She made a gagging motion and unclasped her hands and brought them down to her camera. "She's lucky she didn't damage this, otherwise she'd have a black eye and I'd be finding a new job..." The elevator dinged as it came to the lobby allowing her to exit, she had wasted enough time on the upper floor for the day, if Matthew wanted to see her, she was she had a GPS hidden somewhere on her figure that he had carefully planted. A sigh escaped her lips as she pushed through the lobby and out the front doors into the busy streets of New York City..

Francesca turned and gave Matthew a look. "We need to talk. Now." She said.

Matthew indicated his office and she nodded, following him. "Ms. Bryant, I can have that laundered for you." Jessica said.

"Thank you." Francesca said as she walked into Matthew's office. She waited until the door was shut. "She realizes I can fire her, right?" Francesca asked.

"You're not going to fire her." Matthew said, sitting down in his chair. He hadn't been able to look underneath his desk yet to see what was there, and a part of him was more interested in that than whatever it was that Francesca wanted to talk about. "You're not going to fire her, because she's put forward a very good portfolio, and she's a very good catch." He said.

"I've never heard of her before." Francesca said, her eyes narrowing, as she placed her hands on the back of one of the chairs in front of his desk.

"She was referenced to me by a mutual friend, Isaiah Muir." He said, name dropping Isaiah. He was pretty sure that Isaiah didn't know who the hell Allyson was, but he had a feeling that Isaiah would back him up.

"I was just in Gotham."

"I'm surprised Isaiah didn't mention her then." Matthew said.

"She needs to learn manners." Francesca said, dropping into the chair. "She could have ruined my jacket. I understand it was an honest mistake though, so I'm not too upset."

"Hey, I felt that we needed to go with an edgier side, and she definitely fits the bill." Matthew replied with a smile. "But I have a feeling that you didn't come in today to talk about someone you hadn't met yet. How's Melissa's wedding plans?" He asked.

"They're great. She settled on the music and we've got everything finished now. Which reminds me, you haven't told me yet whether or not you're going to go to the wedding with me or not." She said. "I need to know soon, because you're already part of the bridal party and I need to know if this is going to upset any seating arrangements." Francesca said.

"I'm not too sure, I have a few other offers and-"

"But it's me." Francesca said.

"I'll have to figure it out." He said. "Have you seen the numbers for this week though? We killed the competition." He said, to get her mind off of the wedding guest issue.

"You're sure?" The man asked.

"Positive. You wanted to know if anything interesting came through my office at S.H.I.E.L.D. and something did. Well, a someone. Allyson Parks. She has something special, the scientists' documents referred to it as Shadowblade."

"Interesting. Send me everything you have." The man said.

The other on the phone nodded, even though it wouldn't have been visible. "I'll do that. You have my money?"

"Of course." The other lied. "Ten thousand dollars, nice, ready, and waiting."

She let off a deep sigh as she pushed through the hustle and bustle of New York City, all the madness was around Central Park and the giant rose which was hell bent on destroying the entire Park. What an odd thing, S.H.I.E.L.D and the Spider-Family had pretty much things taken care of around there and the amount of journalism centered in that area was insane, so trying to cover that already well beaten horse was pointless. Her mind was elsewhere, on that two-bit prostitute who was the President of the company which was her cover and her obvious wanting of the man she had..."No that's just silly..." She grumbled a bit and looked around at the buildings as she walked, deciding it was best if she just headed home for now and take a breather. It was already pushing towards lunch and she failed to bring anything with her and a hot-dog from the side carts just didn't sound good...she just wanted to get home at this point and relax...she would take pictures later....

Lower Manhattan, 14th Street, 10 P.M

The lights were dimmed in her loft apartment, almost to a low candle burning level, the windows were open allowing the cool breeze of the night to flow in and gently blow the silky white curtains in the air. She sighed softly as she walked around the room with the phone to her ear, listening to the voice on the other end, who was assuring her, comforting her almost.

Isaiah chuckled softly. "Well, from my experience, jealousy never helps anything. There was this one time, when Charlize Theron thought that I was dating Jennifer Love Hewett, after we'd had a nice weekend together, and let's just say that she acted in a manner rather uncharacteristic of herself. I wasn't actually datting Jennifer Love Hewett, she'd been sick, so I sent flowers. Apparently sending flowers means you're dating someone. In the case of Matthew and Francesca, she's just known him a long time, since they were little kids. Longer than I've known him honestly, and I think she's a little protective of him. If you've got your eyes set on Matthew, I'd suggest appeasing Francesca a bit and get her on your side."

"I never said I had my eyes set on him, and I don't think I want to appease the Great Goddess of Bitchery..." She groaned softly and walked over to the bed and gently sat down on the edge of it, she crossed her legs and gently tugged at the edge of her nifty "KABOOM" t-shirt. She wore boxer shorts and just a simple novelty t-shirt, nothing fancy..she was alone of course.

"If you don't have your eyes set on him, then, why are you jealous? By the way, you don't mind if I use that for the next time I see Francesca, do you? It has...a nice ring to it." Isaiah said with a hint of amusement in his voice.

"I don't really know, I'm just confused..and of course..why don't you ask her about her coffee stained blouse next time you see her as well..." She paused and looked over at her alarm clock. "Look, It's getting late, I have to get to bed besides Matt has called me three times and I refuse to call him back..I think I'll let him roast until tomorrow..."

Isaiah nodded on the other end of the phone "You do that. Oh and next time you see Matt, remind him that it's his move. He'll know what I'm talking about."

She raised a slender eyebrow and pondered for a moment. "You know if you invited me out to a big event..I'm sure he'd be jealous, but I don't know if it would work the way I want it to..meh.." She shook her head quietly. "Nah, I don't want to interfere with your A-List of celebs and women beating down your door...." She chuckled softly "Goodnight Isaiah, I'll talk to you tomorrow.."

"Alright, goodnight Allyson.."
She hung up the phone with that and remained seated on the edge of her bed, a deep sigh escaping her lips as she looked over at her Motorola Cliq and then reached beyond it, turning the lights completely off to her bedroom, allowing the darkness to consume it. The light from the moon shined brightly through the open windows, she climbed up further into the comfort of her bed, bringing the thin sheet around herself and grasping a pillow within her arms as she laid her head down on an over sized pillow...eyes wide open, deep in thought...
