Re: Out of Country
I won a free trip to China this past winter through an multi-national education company called Education First. It's supposed to be an educational trip, but it is more or less a tourist trip. I'll be seeing the sites and experiencing Beijing, Xi'an, and Shanghai. The only educational aspect is visit...

Out of Country
I know that I've been needing to post in several threads lately, but its the end of the school year, literally, last day of school, and work has been hectic getting final grades in, failures, etc. Anyway, I'm leaving for China for 10 days this Sunday, and then to Cancun for a week, so I will be gone...

Re: Sage's Destiny III: Family Matters
Earlier Ryo had managed to make his way back to the squad lines and was given his lightsaber back, receiving several smirks from the troopers. He joked with them briefly, and promised to buy them a round of ale's once they leave planet. This got their spirits back up. It wasn't long before reinforc...

Re: Sage's Destiny III: Family Matters
Ryo waded through the droids, cutting left and right as he went. It had been years since he had seen combat, and never against such a well-armed force, or as numbered. Droids fell by the dozens as Ryo and the Zeltron, Iraya, pushed forward. They were a shield for the soldiers behind them. He could f...

Re: Sage's Destiny III: Family Matters
Ryo stared out a viewport on the shuttle as they descended into the atmosphere of Ruusan. The shuttle he and several others were on was surrounded by a ring of fighters for protection and other troop-carrying shuttles. An explosion of a nearby shuttle caused his shuttle rock and bounce violently. Ry...

Re: Sage's Destiny III: Family Matters
Ryo's path was awkward, to say the least. He had been removed from galactic life for two years, living the life of an exile in the Outer Rim. The moment he returned to known space, he realized why he left in the first place. Conflict. War. Death. It seemed as if his entire life as a Jedi was defined...

Re: Lords of the Realm
Kyle thought about what Master Gaenal'ra had said. It hurt that his plan was rejected, but as he thought about it, the elder Jedi was correct. He was grasping for anything that would allow them to get on-board that ship. "What would you have us do, Master? Given the ambush that we walked into, ...

Re: Lords of the Realm OOC (Open MBT thread)
My plan was to take on the role of the returning Prince who is looking for vengeance/justice, but is still a part of the Jedi Order. This would leave a large part for the Jedi to take action on behalf of the Jedi Order. I'm not sure what Halc would suggest, but thats sort of where I was going with t...

Re: Lords of the Realm
Kyle had finally made his way to the bridge and saw the exchange between two of the older Jedi and the captain. Looking at the other two Jedi, they were slightly older than he, as they were Knights, but still looked inexperienced. Both Kalan and MkOyer were right, they couldn't just barge onto the v...

Re: Lords of the Realm
It was a nightmare. They said that Jedi don't have nightmares, but no matter what someone else said, he knew what it was. Every night, he would try harder and harder to be there to protect his family, to save them from the doom that approached, but he would ultimately fail. He would never be fast en...

Re: Lords of the Realm OOC (Open MBT thread)
The whole Jedi tracking criminals through the system could easily lead to a resurgence of his desire to visit justice upon the people that killed his family. Or some other means that would make for a great story.

Re: Lords of the Realm OOC (Open MBT thread)
Well of course there is going to be some sort of revenge plot that has to test the bounds of his desire for justice. That's just the basis for any story dealing with people killing families, especially monarchies.

Re: Lords of the Realm OOC (Open MBT thread)
That would be good for me, especially since he is a young Jedi with minimal training. He definitely has motivations to bring justice to the people that killed his family, but seeing as that he is a Jedi, the desire to be restored to the throne of House Turan could cause problems. However, that is so...

Re: Lords of the Realm OOC (Open MBT thread)
I believe the court intrigue amongst the houses would be quite fun to RP. Kyle Turan is the youngest son of the House of Turan, from Bergas. Other details are yet to be determined, but luckily that I'm sick and took a sick day tomorrow, I have tons of time to flesh everything out.

I have 2 Jedi characters that would like to get involved in the current JO timeline, one is already established on the boards for a long time, the other is a newer, younger character that I'd like to try out.

Re: Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Recommendations
I honestly didn't see a major problem with the SoT series in terms of sexuality. The characters were real, in some aspects. Most authors make their characters or stories without any sort of sexual interaction. Its almost like that emotion has been extinguished from that world. Now I'm not saying to ...

Re: Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Recommendations
I personally liked the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. It is an 11-book series, but the first 5 are fantastic. After that, he gets very preachy, but the series is still great.

Ryo listened closely to what Chase was saying. It wasn't revolutionary, but the temptations were difficult to overcome. Was it the will of the Force that he be here, talking with this man? Was it so hard to just follow your heart, and do what felt right, not what was dictated by the Council and the ...

Ryo stumbled into the darkness of his room, and was greeted with a crack as he crashed into the end-table and soon followed by a thud . The lights flickered on an instant later, revealing the not-to-sober man laid out on the floor, clutching a bruised shin, his face contorted in agony. He let loose ...

Hey everyone. Not sure if many of you remember me, since its been a really long time since I last posted here, or in any thread that is alive. But anyway, I would like to get Ryo back into the MBT, since that is his timeline. And I know I've missed a LOT since I last posted, so if people could just ...

Kath'remis stirred beneath white covers, his head bandaged from a nasty bruise that he had sustained during the fight, most likely during the battle with the Bebilith. His armor, once shiny and noble-looking now had dents and wholes in several vital places, but could be considered in worse condition...

Yeah, I like fiendy's idea, except for the super-confusing words that he uses that the end. However, the idea is really awesome, and would be made even better with the current characters that we have because they seem to be a perfect match for each other. I'm sure that we could easily incorporate th...

First, there was a blinding light. The very next moment, all the light had faded as the Moonbridge had faltered. The demonic magics had corrupted it so that its very structure began to collapse, and with it, went Kath’remis and Isis. His body plunged into the water and soon began to sink rapidly. He...
