Curse of the Arcadia OOC

Post by Pryde »

This is a pirate thread! That is all...

Okay, there's a bit more than that. This is basically a Treasure Island-ish story. There's a ship out there called Arcadia that was once owned by a famous, yet-to-be-named pirate that is said to be loaded with credits and other valuables. Basically, we're on a mission to find it.

As always the thread is open to anyone who would like to participate.

I have this fantastic idea for an escaped-slave-turned-freighter-captain Wookiee and his stolen (reprogrammed) protocol droid and stolen (re-IFF'd) ship.

And I always have a soft spot for pirate stories.

If you'll have me.

I'll post more often than I do in my thread, I swear.

By the way, are we talking Millennium Falcon sized ship or something bigger? Preferably looking for something the size of an old sloop, or something that fits about as many people. Wouldn't be much of a pirate story if there were just three of us. ;)
Of course he doesn't have to start with a ship, we can always find one later.

About three times as long, lots of cargo room, can handle more people. He doesn't have a crew, but we can come up with that.

Scary pirate with a peg leg? Check. Daring sword fight? Check. Adventure on the high seas? Well, not quite. Almost there... >.>

I'll have a post up for this tomorrow. Just been a little bit distracted with exploring the galaxy. >.>

So too does Mir. But Mir doesn't have a Playstation, and Windows is dirty and filthy. It looks cool.

It's fun to play, if a bit lonely, and there are times when I wish I knew less about space. Just flying around looking at all the space rocks filling the void between planets going, "This isn't how solar systems work." Also, the planets are way too close together. I mean they're pretty far away sort of cause even with pulse engines on it takes several minutes to fly from one planet to another, but standing on one planet looking up into the sky and seeing the next planet over as a big giant ball overhead I can't help but think the gravity from these two planets should be affecting each other. Also, the view of Earth from the moon is the size of a marble and the view of the mother planet of the moon I landed on last night was decidedly not. Though, I guess that last one is technically possible, but considering the size of the moon there'd be some serious tide issues going on among other things. >.>

Still fun though!

You can probably jump us ahead to the next thing, or we can socialize more. Or you can change it so we head someplace to find a crew. The thread's in your court, so to speak.

Maybe socialize a bit more. Serenity will probably suggest we go someplace to find a crew once she find's out there's only two of you. ;)
