Homecoming OOC

Post by Pryde »

Also a new thread for the reboot. This will be Isis' reintroduction to the new canon. At this stage in her life she's just a novice bounty hunter just starting out so this thread will be the start of her making a name for herself, but first she has to go back home and confront her father... This one's open to everyone as well if people are interested. I think there's room enough for introducing all kinds of different characters.

Okay, so I worked out a bit more of the basic plot for this thread. Anywho, like I said Isis is just starting out so the kind of bounties she usually gets are little things like bail jumpers or whatever. So anyway, she gets hired for a bounty to go nab a guy on Corellia for tax evasion on another planet. Basically, she goes and grabs the guy then brings him back for court to get paid. It's nothing too major but it pays 5 grand which is the most she's ever been offered so she's ecstatic about it. Unfortunately, that means going home and visiting her father. Anyway, the guy she's after is a man named Sylar who unbeknownst to her is actually part of a smuggling ring run by a dude selling black market weapons to the First Order. Isis unwittingly stumbles upon their operation and some bad juju magumbo goes down after that. At one point she gets framed for something and finds herself on the run from the law and all sorts of bad things happen... And, of course, true to her nature she ends up causing a lot of collateral damage.

Just finished writing the first post for this one too. Ugh, this rules thing is taking too long! ><

In other news I think this is some of the best writing I've ever done for Isis.

Post it on stories and just move it afterwards. That's what I'm doing/did

Aww, I was going to write more of Isis' story but I got so distracted with Gen stuff that I ran out of time. :(

Also;

Somehow that feels like cheating. :P

Mir will have the designation of being the oldest post on the new timeline.

Yes, Mir will.

Grr, I hadn't even thought of that. I wanted to be the first and now even if I get the first thread in no one will believe it was me. ><

Oh well, I'll just have to abuse my power and delete your thread then repost it. Then no one will ever know the truth! :P

Not that being the First to post on the new timeline is a competition, or anything... >.>

It's not. Mir thinks your thread needs more togruta.

Togruta is a funny word.

I've recently decided that at this point in time Isis doesn't have a ship yet. I sort of realized that the way I've been writing this story doesn't really allow for her to have a ship. She comes home, has a fight with her father, stays the night, has another fight with her father and storms out then she goes to bug Hirai/Clara for a place to stay which she wouldn't have to do if she had a ship. Not really a problem, though, since the story takes place entirely on Corellia.

I'm also annoyed by the fact that because I couldn't access my Evernote from home (internet's out) I now have two halves of the story saved in two separate locations. One half is in the cloud and the other half (the half I want to work on) is saved on my computer at home. ><

Already this story is 100% better than Isis' first appearance. That's an accurate summation, there's no need to check my math.

Taking a step back here and going to draw this out a bit more. Someone, I'm not going to name who, pointed out to me the last two posts were rushed and I grudgingly have to agree... Mostly because I felt the same way not because I need some rank amateur to point out an obvious mistake I was making, cause you know I don't... >.>

Anyway, now's a good time for anyone who might want to jump in. Another player or two will help slow me down a bit. In the meantime I'm going to try and come up with a more thorough plan for this story.

Edit:

And in case anyone is wondering, I saved the last two posts before deleting them. I may rewrite them and post them later depending on what transpires next.
