Colbert Has Sold Me on the Crossguard Saber

Post by Halomek »

Props to Shag for posting this on his Facebook: http://thecolbertreport.cc.com/videos/u ... ontroversy

The man makes some good points. I'm seriously onboard with the crossguard saber now. I hope that's how Lucasfilm decides they actually work.

I might even start using the term "Menage à Sabre" even though it makes no sense in French without "Trois". :oldrazz:

Completely agree. :lightsaber:

We need an Emoji with the new saber design

Love the explanation. Let's see how it pans out.

There's a circulating rumor(?) that another trailer will be released with Avengers 2. Can't say I'm wholly surprised, but yet another reason to go see it, if true. :)

Kinda sad so many Star Wars fans thought the hilt was a bad design. Colbert has good logic there.

Also, a real fan would remember cortosis/phrik/beskar/dozen other lightsaber resistant materials the hilt could be made of.

... Everyone tends to forget how big a Star Wars nerd Abrams is. I'm fairly confident that the pointed flaws were already considered before they settled on this design.
