New Jedi Order
Sooo, I recently had an inspiration... And yeah, I know it's like six in the morning and I've been up all night and I really should be in bed. >< Anyway, I ran through the Foundry flashpoint on SWTOR (totally spoiled the end of Drew Karpshyn's book) and Darth Malgus mentioned that there were three separate Star Forges. So I figure why not have a master forge? I mean they all gotta come from somewhere, right? And yeah, I know what you're thinking, "Oh gawd, another totally overpowered thing that someone wants to exploit and blah blah blah," but the only thing I plan to use it for is to blow it up.
This is all for a story I plan to write in which Felicity Sage finally gets to play a major role and it starts on Ossus. A small group of people are going to break into the Jedi library and steal a holocron. One of them will be caught and he'll start spouting off a bunch of garbage about the rise of "the new Jedi Order" to replace the old one (figured that would be a nice twist instead of having it be just another cookie cutter dark side cult). Anyway, this order is supposed to be founded on the teachings of Revan and through studying ancient Rakata lore they find the location of a master forge. Felicity (who played a hand in stopping the initial break in and actually capturing one of these "Jedi") is going to follow this trail to the master forge and ultimately blow it up and along the way she'll learn things about the new Jedi and about Revan that weren't in any history book she'd ever read.
Sooo, that's the basic rundown of the idea. Now I just have to flesh it out and so on and so forth... Anyway, having said all that, anyone have a Jedi they'd like to take along for the ride?

Well, we just went through the Star Forge thing with Red, but since you won't actually be making uberships with it, just blowing it up, it sounds pretty good. If I had the time - ah, well, maybe I'll have the time later.

Maybe I might be interested. Is there a specific type of character you need? I can dig up a Jedi from the past. Cyrilla Ward.... But my bigger question is when you're going to post in my Battletech thread on the MWO forums.

Ooh.
I still need something for Feldar to do.
I think this would be excellent.

Cyrilla Ward!
And Arch's character!
And Durgan's character!
...And now we just hope the infamous and dreaded Pryde-Balsa Effect doesn't occur.

Thread's up. Longest post I've written in a looong time. Would have been longer too but I need someone for Felicity to interact with for a moment before I jump to the Council scene.

Arch do you have a bio or wiki for your character?

I believe it's under "Feldar T'kappi".

Ok so I don't know if this is the right place but this is were I wanna use this character so I figure I would post his little bio here and see whatever thought could use any constructive criticism let me know what you think, thanks.
Durgan jai Sheelal
Age: 24
Appearance:
Originally Durgan had the typical Kaleesh features reddish-brown scaly skin, four-clawed hands, and five-clawed feet tusks protruded from the upper jaw, and shorter ones jutted from their chins. As well large pointed ears and long nostrils that stretched close to their eyes. . But after his operation Durgans right arm had been replaced with a electronic replacement, his chest external layer was replaced by a metal shielding, as well as random patches of metal covering and exposed wire throughout his body. finally his face had been horribly disfigured Durgan had a custom faceplate resembling General Grievous created in honor of his fallen relative.
History:
Durgan a distance relative of Qymaen jai Sheelal better know as General Grievous originally born on the Kaleesh home world of Kalee. Jedi Master Kyp Durron discovered Durgan to be force sensitive at the young age of three during one of the many feuds between the clans. Durron was on Kalee for a peace keeping mission when he received a distress call, when Durron arrived the local temple was enveloped in a force bubble keeping the attacking tribe out. Once Durron had cleared the attackers and made his way through the force bubble he discovered the young Durgan. Durron took Durgan as his apprentice believing that staying with the warring clans that made up Kaleesh would lead him to the dark side of the force.
Durgan trained under Durron until the age of seventeen when Durron believed that Durgan had learned as much as he could from him. Durgan spent most of his time scouring the galaxy in search of rare technology and anything he could use to expanded his knowledge of the force. Durgan was able to avoid most the conflicts that was ripping the great powers apart, but at the age of twenty Durgans ship was attacked and he received grave injuries. Durgan found himself on his death bed with two choices either give into his injuries or use the research he discovered on his ancestor Qymaen jai Sheelal, Durgan was unwilling to give up so he took the operation.
After the operation Durgan was changed he had lost some of his connection with the force and found it difficult to continue his search. Instead of continuing to search the galaxy Durgan redirected his efforts using his knowledge of technology to amplify his connection with the force. This caught the attention of the Jedi Counsel who contacted Durgan, at first he was unwilling to rejoin the Jedi but eventually return to the fold. Durgan found himself continuing his research on the planet of Ossus using the Jedi resources there.

Re: New Jedi Order
Two issues: Most important is that Kyp Durron (assuming he exists in our timeline at all, which - to my knowledge - has never been confirmed or denied) wouldn't be a Jedi Master until 24 ABY. The Exodus Galaxy is only at 18 ABY right now. In order for Durgan jai Sheelal to have been trained for fourteen years and then to rove on his own for three more, it would have to be at least 41 ABY. You can still have that kind of time-frame, but you would need him to have been discovered by some random (and probably now-dead) Jedi Master from the old Order.
Second thing is this: General Grievous was a high-powered pain in the neck for the Jedi of old. Since Durgan has now had this "operation," is he that powerful and skilled? Or is he a little more normal? Grievous, after all, was not even Force-sensitive.

Hey Pryde, Daer'Gunn is actually on the star forge original planet right now with Lucien and the rest. He would be someone of great interest in helping out with the Jedi to fight this "new jedi order"

Ok I'll do a quick rewrite ill make it some no name master and as for his strength he is working with second hand equipment and is only partly converted so he is actually weaker in the force at the moment but as he develops he will regain his strength either through rediscovering it or more augments.

I just realized something, Pryde. How involved is/was Felicity Sage with Adam Sage's Jedis, specifically the whole Titan thing? Because, that's where Cyrilla hails from, Jax Sage's Titans. So, the two might know of each other, or one might know of the other...

Titans are old they were assimilated into the Order years ago. I doubt that Felicity would have really been a part of it.

Okay, I do know the Titans were old, especially RL old, but I wasn't sure how old it was IC. Well, couldn't have been more than a few IC years.
I am talking about the "new" Titans, not the really old one that the new ones were drawn from, if that makes a difference.

Re: New Jedi Order
Felicity first appeared in Sage's Destiny where she fought alongside Max and her other cousins to stop Sirena from obtaining the Valley of the Jedi. That was really the only time she's ever had any serious "screen time" she kind of went into obscurity after that. But she's been a sage her entire life, grew up on Sage Manor, trained at Sage Manor, followed her cousins around everywhere and had her first real taste of combat when Max finally took her as his apprentice at the age of fifteen. She basically spent the last year going from planet to planet fighting the forces of darkness. So yeah, I suppose it's entirely possible that they know each other. Felicity did invite her to come along even though she really had no reason to so it's at least implied.

Hmm... Well, Cyrilla introduced herself as if the two didn't know each other. Maybe because Felicity never actually met Cyrilla but had heard of her, she had her suspicions about the Cathar and invited her along. Then, later, she can confirm who Cyrilla is. Or something?Pryde2000 wrote:So yeah, I suppose it's entirely possible that they know each other. Or Felicity doesn't know her but Cyrilla knows Felicity mostly by reputation and has maybe seen her once or twice. And Felicity just invited her along because she's cool like that.

Re: New Jedi Order
Maybe. I'm a little fuzzy on what happened to the Titans since 2003, and I'm also a little fuzzy about what happened to Cyrilla during that time. (Chances are since I stopped RPing her, she disappeared.) I was thinking she left the Titans to go about a pilgrimage of travelling across the galaxy healing people and delivering justice before returning to the Jedi temple-place for learning/refitting.
So, maybe they actually don't know anything about one another? (Though, it's more likely that Felicity might have stumbled upon some records indicating Cyrilla's existence, and not the other way around.)

Well, how far are they going for a computer? Are they planning on running off to the Galaxy's rescue without looking back?
I figured there would be a little more... flexibility in their schedule.

It's okay, Arch, I already have a plan. Jade is going to come back to the library and ask about Felicity. When she finds out Felicity isn't there she's going to send you out to go bring her back.
