Parna

Post by Garet » Mon May 23, 2005 4:58 pm

Morgan's crewmen seperated the moment they landed on the docks of Parna; a few followed their captain, Ken and Herc as they made their way through the small wooden shacks and bridges which then led up to a dirt road.

"This is the path that leads towards Parna." stated one of the crewmen as the group left the docks and began to walk through a field. Ken looked around in aw as there were small hills and knee high grass next to the dirt road, at a distance North Ouest to where they were walking there was a big forest as well.

"Where's Parna?"

"A short walk."

+|+|+|

That short walk ended up being two hours as Ken then saw at a distance a tall and long smooth white stone wall; to Ken's curiosity, there was no door to enter the great city.

Behind the wall, the only thing that Ken could see clearly was a black and gold temple that looked like to be part of the ancient Chinese culture; it appeared to be in three big parts. The closer the group walked towards the wall, the more it started to loom over them...the walls were easily over fifty stories as there were people walking along the top of the wall, looking down at them.

The group stopped walking as Morgan kept on walking towards the wall, he then stopped a couple of feet away as he placed his hand on the smooth white stone wall while he mumbled, "Open."

The moment he removed his hand from the wall, a circle with what appeared to have Greek writing all around appeared as it started to rotate in a clockwise direction. The words began to rotate faster when other letters started to rotate in a counter clockwise way. As this was happening, a gold door with two lions standing up started to appear; the letters were now rotating faster as the doors were opening slowly.

As the doors were nearly finished opening, Ken noticed a man wearing a red and gold sleeveless armor shirt with armor shorts and a red silk cape with a gold helmet that had a red fur mohawk. This man looked like he was a Roman solider.

What the hell is this...

The moment the doors stopped opening, the group began to walk towards the man as he took off his helmet, revealing jet black curly hair and his dark brown eyes.

"Captain Morgan, you have returned!" he smiled as Morgan greeted the man.

"Mirco, as expected of you to be waiting at the front entrance when the doors of Parna open."

Mirco laughed as he pointed at the top of the wall, "My archers knew it was you or else you wouldn't have stepped so close to the wall."

"As expected from the city defender."

Mirco greeted the rest of the group as he arched an eyebrow after noticing Ken.

"This lad is new, his Chi is unknown, let alone unmarked..."

"We picked him up from the Dead Sea."

Mirco raised his eyebrows, "Did you encounter Scylla?"

Morgan nodded his head as Mirco continued, "Where's Richard?" Nobody replied as Mirco's eyes widened in shock before lowering his head.

"I see...' he whispered, 'Let me escort you to the old man then Morgan, I think we should inform him."

Morgan nodded his head as he along with Ken and Herc followed Mirco towards the temple at the center of the city.

The city of Parna

Post by Garet » Thu May 26, 2005 2:45 pm

Ken was amazed from what he was seeing while walking down the crowded streets of Parna. The entire city was a mixture of the Chinese, Medieval, Japanese and Roman Empires; some buildings even had mixtures of two era's while many others were constructed like they were during their time. There were little kiosks along the side of the road as people were selling different items; let it be food, jewelry or clothing, but there were some things that looked different to Ken.

"Pouches from the city of Dsan..." mumbled an old tanned market man with a white turban around his head and loose white clothing. He had infront of him a bunch of pouches; big, small, medium, all in different colors also.

"What's inside those?" questioned Ken to Mirco. The Roman soldier looked over his shoulder at the kiosk that they passed by as he replied.

"The Sands of Dsan,' Ken arched an eyebrow as Mirco continued, 'Some sands have different capabilities...most are from what we were able to do during our time on Earth.' he then pulled out a small white pouch, 'This type of sand enables our soul to sleep for a certain amount of time; souls cannot sleep...that is something the body does, but the soul and body are similar since both loose energy. The reason why the soul has to sleep is due to the 'Chi' that it looses, let it be in a battle or hard working. We use the sand to sleep and quickly recover our Chi...there's other ways of increasing our Chi, let it be eating, drinking or music, but the white sand is the best."

"How is this even possible?" questioned Ken as Mirco smiled.

"Spiritual power,' he replied, 'The Dsanadians specialize in the Chi, and since there's lots of Sand where they come from...they use it to their advantage."

Ken nodded his head as he began to look around, he then noticed that the closer they walked towards the big temple, which was at the center of the city...the more children he saw, in fact, there were many children around...as well as orphanages.

"How are the kids doing?" questioned Morgan as he looked around at them.

"Pretty good,' replied Mirco as he waved at two little girls, 'Alex and Maria have mostly been keeping an eye on them."

"Alex and Maria, eh?"

"The unexpected are always the best."

Ken had to ask, "Why are there so many kids?"

"It's complicating..." replied Morgan as Mirco nodded his head.

"We'll let the old man answer that one."

"Speaking of the old man," stated Morgan as he pointed ahead of him. Ken looked towards Morgan's direction as he saw an old man in white leaning on a thick brown stick. The old man had a beard down to his neck and his hair was in a ponytail, his blue eyes were fixated on a group of children playing tag as he smiled.

A couple of feet away from the old man was another man, a bit older looking then Ken that was wearing a single piece black robe that reached down to his ankles, with a white cloth that was wrapped around his shoulders and neck. Ken then noticed the sheathed samurai sword on the man's left side as he looked up at him...to his surprise, the man was looking back at Ken; his green eyes almost covered by his black bangs.

"We've been expecting you..." mumbled the old man as he didn't bother looking at the group heading towards their direction.

"Old man...'' mumbled Morgan as the old man raised his trembling hand.

"I already know...' Morgan nodded his head from the old man's response as he continued, 'I felt it as he was consumed by the Scylla."

"I'm sorry I couldn't save him."

The old man shook his head, "For every flame that dies...' he then turned to Ken, 'another burns."

Questions answered

Post by Garet » Tue May 31, 2005 8:09 am

The old man invited Ken, Mirco, Morgan and Herc into the temple as they were followed with the mysterious samurai man behind them. The old man, in front of everyone, shook slightly as he walked down the Chinese designed hallways...his wooden staff made a constant tack tack tack noise which echoed.

"I believe you have questions...'' stated the old man to Ken without looking at his direction, the old man knew that Ken had many questions concerning Limbo...every soul that came into Limbo always questioned the purpose of this dimension.

"I don't know where to begin..." There's so much that Ken wants to ask...he doesn't know what to ask first.

"Then let me explain to you what Limbo is.' the old man then walked through a back door as they entered a big balcony that was looking upon the city of Parna.

'You are aware that Limbo...no...the 4th dimension was created for the purpose of casting gray souls into an area for punishment.''

"Somewhat...' stated Ken as a word that the old man mentioned echoed in his head. '....Punishment?"

The old man nodded his head as his beard waved along with the motion, "The heaven's were furious that gray souls couldn't decide on a side to choose since they've done both good and bad...they cannot let the gray souls go to Hell since Lucifer's army would be greater...and they cannot let the souls enter heaven since their is a possibility that they could be demons.'

The old man then began to rub his beard as he squinted in thought, 'Therefore a high angel named Pathos decided to create the 4th dimension and cast all the gray souls into it....but that wasn't it.'

Ken then looked at the old man as he continued, 'Pathos knew that if Heaven cast down all the gray souls to a different dimension without giving them a second chance...every gray soul would be furious in not receiving the opportunity to have that second chance in reaching Heaven and eternal happiness.''

"...What are you trying to say?"

The old man was quiet for a moment as the wind blew his beard

''The purpose of Limbo was to kill the gray souls."

Ken's eyes widened in shock, he then turned to the rest of the group as their faces were expressionless, they knew...therefore it was true what the old man was saying.

"I don't believe it." stated Ken as the old man continued.

"Think about it boy,' he snapped gently while pointing his finger on his forehead, 'If you gather a group of people in an area without giving them a choice, they would obviously be mad, correct?'

Ken nodded his head and the old man continued, 'Pathos knew that, he also knew that there was a great number of gray souls, he couldn't let them stay in an area without doing something...since there was always the possibility of the gray souls returning from the 4th dimension and possibly going after Heaven for revenge, Pathos didn't want to take that chance..."

Ken then looked at the great city of Parna, "It sounds wrong for Heaven to be doing this."

The old man laughed slightly as his body shook, "Who says their doing it?"

He then arched an eyebrow at the old man as he smirked slightly in return, "Heaven doesn't want to kill the souls with their hands since it goes against who they are...so Pathos decided to let loose demons in the 4th dimension hopping that they would kill the gray souls that come here."

The image of the Scylla popped in Ken's head as he replied, "The Angelic Demons."

"Bingo,' smiled the old man as he continued, 'But as you can see, Pathos' didn't succeed since we're alive."

Ken nodded his head as a question popped in his mind, "Do they know that?"

"Of course not!' snapped the old man, 'The Heaven's think the demons are eating our souls...they're foolish."

"How did the souls manage to survive?"

The old man raised his hand slightly in an angle as a small white glowing ball, the size of a marble appeared.

"We've learned to use our Chi as a weapon."

"Chi?"

The white ball dissapeared as the old man closed his hand, "It's our spirit...it's what you are right now, instead we use it for different purposes."

Ken shook his head, "I don't understand."

"Did you see the ball of light I made before, boy?"

"Yes"

"I made that by using some of my Chi and compressing it to that small ball of white light."

Ken arched an eyebrow, "Is their no limit?"

The old man laughed, "Of course their is!' he then stood up as he walked towards the rail of the balcony. 'Don't think that I could make a ball of light the size of a planet! It might not look like much when we use our Chi strenghts, but we get extremely tired...even if someone has a strong amount of spiritulal strength, they cannot be Tyrants."

The old man was quiet for a moment as he stared at the city, lost in thought. "Though some wish to be..." he mumbled

The Atrums

Post by Garet » Mon Jun 06, 2005 8:44 am

+|+|+|+|+|

Three of Morgan's crewmen that left their Captain when they docked earlier began to walk the path that headed towards Parna. One of the crewmen, who was chubby with brown culry hair and a beard with blue eyes was carrying a gray bag of fish. The other two were twins as they both were tall and extremely built, both had short blond hair with brown eyes as they carried in each hand a bag of fruits and vegetables.

"You think we have enough fruits for our brothers tonight?" questioned the chubby man as he looked behind him at the twins.

The twin on the left nodded his head, "Aye, Fruitty Fred knows what he's doing, I trust our night with his decision."

The chubby man shrugged his shoulders as his belly shook slightly, "Leave the apples for my Edna, she loves Fred's apples."

The twin agreed with the chubby man as his brother stopped, both crewmen looked at the other twin.

"What are you looking at?" questioned the chubby man as he then turned to the direction the twin was starring at...the moment he looked over the hill a couple of dozen yards away, his heart stopped.

+|+|+|+|

"What are you talking about?" questioned Ken to the old man, whom didn't reply immediately as he stared at the city of Parna.

"The balance between good and evil between a gray soul is still uncertain even in Limbo...the actions that a soul does has an...effect on that soul."

Ken arched an eyebrow as he looked at Morgan and the rest of the group, "...What sort of effect?"

+|+|+|+|+|

Two dark figures were standing on a small hill as they began to stare at Morgan's crewmen.

"Puuure" hissed a crouching male with a hunchback. The crouching dark figure had short hair as he wore a dark brown cloak with torn and ripped clothing underneath which revealed his bony body. His skin was a mixture of dark purple spots along with his normal white skin color. On his face he had a wooden mask which covered from the nose and up until his forehead as his black lips with his purple jaw was revealed. With one hand he began to tear a piece of normal looking flesh with his finger underneath his cheek bone. His eyes were green but appeared to fading to white as if a faded white sheet was over them.

He then turned his head as he looked up at his tall companion; he wore a tight black hood which revealed only his face, but his mouth and forehead was covered by a black silk cloth and wore a smooth silver metalic mask, starting from nose and ending just avove his eyebrows.

What he wore on his body was being covered by an extremely large black cloak as it was being blown towards the direction of Morgan's crewmen. The torn ends of the cloak looked like they were fingers flowing with the wind, wanting to grab the crewmen.

+|+|+|+|+|+|

"When a gray soul kills another gray soul...something happends to that soul.' stated the old man as his voice changed dramatically, 'That is an act of evil...therefore...they become evil....well sort of."

"What do you mean?"

"Killing a soul without a purpose is a sin in Limbo...but for some...no...many... it's a drug...they kill in order to become stronger and feed their hunger of more..but their appearances change over the number of kills...no not appearance, but mentality as well."

+|+|+|+|

"Can I kill them, Malus?" giggled the hunchback as he unsheathed his black doubled bladed battle ax with red designs from his back.

The tall figure known as Malus looked at the crewmen from their distance for a moment.

"...Yes."

+|+|+|+|

The old man then stared directly into Ken's eyes as he spoke.

"They are known as The Atrums..."

The Balance of Chi

Post by Garet » Tue Jun 07, 2005 12:05 pm

The hunchback smiled as saliva spat out of the gaps in between his teeth, he then raised his double edged ax over his shoulder while staring at the chubby crewman. The crewman's legs began to shake as he continued to stare at the two Atrums standing on the hill.

"I want to kill fatty!" he hissed as he swung his ax; the top of the ax came off of the staff as it was connected by a chain while it flew towards the neck of the chubby crewman.

The crewman let out a gasp as he dove to the floor, the ax missed his head by inches as it landed on the dirt floor behind him. The chubby man felt the chain that was connected to the ax on his right shoulder as he slowly went on one knee.

That was close he thought to himself as he looked over his shoulder at the ax behind him.

The hunchback smiled as he jerked his staff, the chain that was connected to the top of the ax began to quickly go back inside the staff. The chubby man's eyes widened as he saw the ax being pulled towards him with quick speed.

"Ed-" he was cut off as the ax sliced off his head while making it's way towards the staff.

+|+|+|+|+|

"When a soul kills another soul...the defeated soul is at the mercy of the victor,' stated the old man as he stood up from his chair and slowly walked towards the rails of the balcony. 'That defeated soul becomes one with the victor's soul; the victor's soul is able to know the past life of the defeated soul and even is capable of learning the defeated soul's Chi techniques."

"What's wrong with that?" questioned Ken as Morgan replied for the old man.

"Remember what I told you about the prime rule in Limbo? Don't talk about you past, it's your past and your past only, no one has the right to know about it...when a soul is defeated the victor could know about the defeated soul's life like an open book...it's basically knowledge. The Chi technique is the same thing, some techniques are known as group signatures while other it's individually..basically your taking over someones life."

"The Atrums love it...' snapped the old man, 'It's their drug, the knowledge of souls."

+|+|+|+|+|

The hunchback's eyes were closed as his eyelids were moving from side to side, he then took a deep breath while slowly opening them.

"Edna...' he said with a smile as he continued, 'What a beautiful wife and kids...their heads would make a great collection back at Atronia..."

Malus was quiet as he stared at the two tall twins, the hunchback then jumped infront of him as he raised his ax.

"Let me kill them, Malus!"

"Carefull, Nero...their stronger then the fat one." he replied with a low tone, it was as if he didn't care over the strength that the two twins were showing.

"Two birds...ONE STONE!" hissed Nero as he swung his ax as the top came off and went towards the standing twins from the side. Nero smiled as both twins ducked, but his expression changed as they both grabbed the chain with their hands.

"This is new..." he stated as Malus stood motionless, waiting for what the twins would do.

Nero yanked his staff, expecting the chain to move back into the staff...but it wouldn't move. Staring at both twins, he then realized something.

"Don't tell me..." but it was to late for Nero to react as both twins yanked the chain which sent the Atrum flying towards them. Both twins raised their fist as they prepared to punch the incoming Nero right at the face.

The moment they swung, they didn't hit Nero on the face.

"Wha-?" snapped one of the twins as he stared infront of him, the Atrum was no where to be found, and he knew..in fact...both knew that they coudn't have missed that punch..but the Atrum was no where, the only thing showing was his staff with his extended chain and ax.

"I told you...' stated a voice behind the twins as they quickly turned around to see Malus standing next to the kneeing Nero. "They were strong."

"Impossible." stated one of the twins as he looked back at the hill that Malus was standing on before; that hill must have been fifty yards away...how could he have moved so quickly and take his companion away from them without knowing until the last moment?

"To bad...' continued Malus, ignoring what the twin said as he had his back towards them, 'They coudn't show it completely."

"What are you talking about?" snapped the other twin as he walked towards them, but immediately fell with a sharp pain on both legs. Looking down, he then noticed that both his legs were cut off from the knees.

"Brother!" yelled the other twin as he ran towards his twin brother, but he too then fell to the floor with his legs cut off as well. Both started to scream in pain as Malus looked at them over his shoulder. Not only did he manage to save Nero from an attack, but he also attacked two ennemies at the same time.

"Black Cross." he said as a dark linning began to glow on the ground that both twins were lying on. The brothers began to panic as the dark glowing light became bigger and darker.

+|+|+|

"I see..." replied Ken from what Morgan said before, the captain was about to say somethign when a loud explosion was heard. The group turned their heads towards the noise as they saw a big wall of black flames with purple electricity shooting out at a distance.

"That's!" snapped Morgan as the old man looked at the samurai man next to him.

"Neji!"

The samurai man known as Neji jumped on the railing of the balcony as his body dissapeared with a quick hiss. Ken then heard another hiss at a distance as he saw Neji appearing on the rooftops of houses towards the walls of Parna as he completely dissapeared.

What the hell was that? he thought to himself as he continued to stare at the black flames.

The Dark Six

Post by Garet » Fri Jun 10, 2005 9:35 am

Neji focused his Chi on his legs as he ran towards the black wall of flames over a grass hill, his body appearing from one area to the next in the eyes of a normal chi user, but technically everything around Neji is moving in slow motion. If a soul focused his Chi on his eyes to a faster speed, they would see Neji running normally, instead of the 'hopping' with their normal eyes.

Neji then noticed the rain dropplets slowly falling towards the floor, the dropplets hitting his body as a solid for a split second before exploding into smaller dropplets of water...but the samurai ignored the rain as he focused his attention at the two spiritual strengths that he felt at the other side of the hill.

One was weak, and the other-

Neji didn't have time to feel the presence of the other spirit as he felt something coming from his right side at a very quick speed. Not bothering to look at the direction, Neji pulled out his sword from the side and moved it in the direction that he felt the pressence coming from; his blade was so quick that the rain droplets were cut as solids before exploding.

A loud clank was heard as two metals collided, Neji then did a forward dive as another blade began to cut the grass, which was going for his legs. As he landed on his feet everything was moving in real time as the rain began to pour onto his body.

"Impressive." stated a voice behind Neji; looking over his shoulder he then saw an Atrum with his back towards him, his long cloak was still blowing with the wind even from the heavy down pour.

"Your reaction and speed has caught my attention..."

"There's more to it then that..."

"Oh?' he then turned around as Neji saw the silver shinning mask, his eyes widened in shock as Malus continued, 'Then don't dissapoint me."

+|+|+|+|+|

"The Dark Six,' replied the old man as he gripped the rail of the balcony, replying to Ken's unasked question, 'The six leaders of Atronia."

"Six leaders..." repeated Ken as he looked at the direction where the fire used to be.

The old man nodded his head, "The Atrums are known by the masks they use to cover their face...due to the changes they receive; the mask could be any type, wooden, silk, stone etc etc. but the Dark Six are known by the silver shinning masks they wear."

Ken nodded his head as he turned to the old man, "So you think what we saw just earlier is the works of a Dark Six?"

"Not think,' said another voice, the entire group turned around towards the entrance of the balcony as they saw a middle aged man wearing a white robe with a samurai sword on his side, leaning exhausted on the wall. His body looked strong but Ken saw in his eyes that he weak from something.

'It's Malus to be exact." he continue with his semi strong and weak voice. The old man quickly turned around as he walked towards the man.

"Keizou, you should be resting!"

Keizou waved his arm as he walked slowly towards the rail of the balcony, "Who did you send?"

"Just Neji."

Keizou looked at the dark sky as the rain began to fall, "Don't get any thoughts Keizou!' yelled the old man as the slight roar of thunder was heard.

'Your still weak from your last batlle with-"

The old man was caught off as a white flash of lighting blinded them for a moment and Keizou was missing.

+|+|+|+|

Everything moved in slow motion again as Neji turned his body around to slash Malus across the torso. The Atrum stood still as the blade made it's way towards his body, the moment Neji's blade touched Malus' cloak everything began to move in real time as Neji felt a cold piece of metal touching his neck.

Looking down, he then saw a long thin black sword with no handle being held by Malus with his black leather glove. The blade was just one piece of metal, unsharpened at the bottom so the Atrum could hold it, but curved and sharp ontop like a normal blade.

"Speed and reflexes cannot defeat me.' he said, 'You need much more then that."

Neji grinded his teeth as he knew he was defeated, the moment he felt the blade beginning to move to slice his throat, a thunderbolt was heard as a white light blinded him. He then felt a gush of wind and then voices all around him.

Opening his eyes he realized he was back at the balcony in Parna, "What happened?!" he snapped as he looked around at the group. He saw the old man with an angry expression on his face, but he wasn't looking at him.

"You fool!" he spat at the person behind Neji, turning around, the samurai saw Keizou leaning on the wall, pale as a ghost and breathing deeply.

Keizou and Neji

Post by Garet » Sun Jun 12, 2005 1:44 pm

+|+|+|+|

Malus had his face covered by his cloak during the thunderbolt that would have blinded him and left him vulnerable for an attack. He knew who's work that was; as he moved the cloak away from his face, as expected he didn't find the samurai anywhere.

"Keizou..." he whispered while looking at the black clouds ontop of him.

+|+|+|+|+|+|

"Brother!" snapped Neji as the old man began to yell at Keizou before the samurai could reply to his younger brother.

"You idiot, you dare to use your Chi with the current state you're in?!"

Keizou turned his head slowly towards the old man as his eyelids were halfway closed from exhaustion, and Ken could have sworn he see's white smoke coming out of his mouth as Keizou exhales.

"Neji wouldn't have lasted with Malus'' Ken arched an eyebrow as he noticed that Keizou's voice changed for a moment. The old man grinded his teeth as he turned to Morgan.

"Help him up! The side effect is kicking in."

Keizou began to cough as white smoke began to come out of his mouth, and also, to Ken's surprise, Keizou's hair was changing to the colour white.

"I need to rest" whispered Keizou as Morgan slowly lifted him up.

Ken then focused his attention to Neji as he was on his knees, staring at his open palm hands for a moment, he then clenched them to a fist as he looked up at his older brother.

"Keizou, you didn't have to save me...I could have handled the Atrum on my own."

Keizou shook his head as he slowly made his way into the temple with Morgan, "Don't be foolish, you're not capable in defeating a Dark Six yet"

Neji then stood up, "I've been training brother! I've surpased from how I was before..."

"Neji, now is not the time." stated the old man as he followed Keizou and Morgan into the temple. Ken then turned to Neji who was now leaning on the rail of the balcony as the wind was blowing his robe and hair.

Neji stared quietly at the city as Ken left him alone on the balcony.

The mystery behind the Atrums

Post by Garet » Fri Jun 17, 2005 1:19 pm

Ken stared at Morgan as he placed the weak Keizou on his black silk bed with gold designs; it appeared to be a Roman style bedroom as the floor was made of marble with small statues of people on the wall. By now, Keizou's hair was a light silver while thick white smoke was coming out of his mouth when he exhaled.

"Keizou!' snapped the old man as Ken and Morgan turned towards the old man who was standing infront of a desk and looking at something. 'What's this doing here?" he continued, but Ken couldn't see what the old man was talking about as Keizou replied.

"There's something behind it...something that explains about the Atrums"

Morgan shook his head as he turned to the old man, "It's getting worse."

The old man turned around as he closed a black box that was on the desk, "Where is Sakura?"

"Right here!" said a voice behind Ken, turning around his eyes widened as he saw a beautiful female walking quickly towards him. She was slightly shorter then he was as her black shoulder length hair bounced slightly with her movement, her light pink eyes and perfect body is what attracted Ken as she walked by him.

"Nii-san!" (brother in Japanase) moaned Sakura while stopping at the side of the bed, next to her brother.

"The syptoms are getting worse." stated the old man as Sakura placed her palm about half an inch ontop of Keizou's forehead as a light pink glow was showing.

"I know..." she whispered as the pink glow became brighter, Ken was fixated on Sakura for a moment as he was drawn in by her facial expression before turning to Keizou. He then began to notice that his hair was going back to it's normal color as the smoke was getting thinner.

The Night Festival

Post by Garet » Sun Jun 19, 2005 7:38 pm

The old man ordered everyone to leave Keizou in his room as Sakura stressed to the old man that she should stay with him to handle the problem her brother had.

"Forget about the night festival." she said while placing her hand on her brother's forehead as the pink glow appeared once again.

"Very well," said the old man as he walked towards Ken and grabbed him by the shoulder, he then escorted him out along with Morgan. Looking over his shoulder, Ken noticed that Sakura was looking at him with a puzzled expression on her face.

"What was all that about?" he questioned to the old man as Morgan closed the doors behind them.

The old man smiled as he continued to walk, "That's a story for another day, now let us enjoy the festival."

+|+|+|+|+|+|

The Night Festival was located next to the temple as the set up was already complete. All the children were sent to their orphanage homes as laterns were hanging on wires that were connected to poles; there were also small tables with white table cloths and chairs so people could sit and eat. Next to one of the wall's of the Temple was a long table with different meals along with barrels of different type of alchohol.

Ken and Morgan were walking towards the center of the Night Festival as the band was already playing. Ken noticed that the musicians were of different cultures; their were Greek Bouzouki players along with Jamaican Bongo's and Spanish Guitarists...such an odd mix, but the music they were playing was incredible.

Slowly, slowly the villagers who wanted to be apart of the Night Festival began to come as the tables were being filled up; villagers were laughing with one another over jokes as they ate and drank to the music.

"Oi, there's our table." stated Morgan as he grabbed Ken by the shoulder, but Ken was staring at a woman dancing on the dance floor by herself. She was wearing a long loose white dress that flowed in the opposite direction that her hips and bare feet moved, the white dress made her tanned skin and dark hair stand out as she had her head slightly lowered to the floor with her eyes closed.

"That's Maria...' replied Morgan as he grabed Ken by the head and forced him to look away, 'She's out of your league kid."

"I wasn't thinking of that!" stutured Ken as Morgan laughed while walking to their tables. Almost all of Morgan's crewmates were drunk over alchohol as they were singing over the music, one of them stood ontop of the table as he saluted to Morgan...only to fall ontop of three of his sitting companions.

"To the Night!" yelled Morgan as he grabbed a glass of ale from the table and raised it in the air while the rest of his crew cheered. Some of the villagers around them cheered as well while others ingnored them.

Ken smiled slightly as he saw Mirco stumbling towards him and Morgan, "Oi! These blasted Greeks know how to party! That bloody group in the corner with their Ouzo made me notice something!"

"And what's that?" questioned Ken with a smirk as he and Morgan tried not to laugh.

"That I'm bloody drunk!"

Mirco then stumbled onto the sitting Herc, who wasn't drinking, as he started to sing with Morgan's crewmen.

Morgan then gave Ken a glass of ale as he smiled, "Drink lad, I'm sure you've had a tough time."

Ken smiled as he took the glass, "You have no idea."

Alex and Maria

Post by Garet » Sat Jun 25, 2005 1:48 pm

"OI!' yelled Morgan as he jumped on the table with a wodden crown on his head, Ken wondered for a moment where the bloody hell did he get that crown. 'I'M THE KING OF FRANCE!" continued the drunk Captain while laughing and spinning in circles quickly.

His drunken companions cheered as Ken laughed slightly; this is how it was in the 4th dimension, at first he thought that it was a fight for survival like back on Earth...but things are completely different here...in fact, Ken is beginning to forget about Earth.

He then turned his attention towards the dance floor now, there was now a bigger crowd of villagers as they were dancing in circles to the beat of the music. That's when he noticed Maria in the center of the dance floor, dancing by herself as the villager danced around her. Her hands were slightly in the air as she stood in one spot, while moving her hips side to side. Her head was slightly lowered, enough for her bangs to fall slightly infront of her face...Ken didn't know why, but he could stare at her for hours and hours.

"She's attractive isn't she?" stated a childlike voice next to Ken, turning towards the direction he heard the voice, Ken saw a teenager sitting on a chair by himself. The teen had his feet on the table as he slightly shook his black boots to the beat of the music while picking his teeth with a long, thin silver pin. He had spickey blond hair and blue eyes and was slightly muscular. Ken then noticed the plate of chicken bones next to his feet as he wondere why he was picking his teeth.

"Yeah." replied Ken as he turned back to Maria while the teen continued to talk.

"Don't bother picking her up,' Ken looked at the teen as he noticed the pin was missing as his arms were folded across his chest. 'She has no interest in anyone here in Parna...heck, even in Limbo."

"Really?"

"Yup, her only interest is the kids...that's why she takes care of them."

Ken thought for a moment, "Are you Alex?"

The teen raised his eyebrows in surprise as he smiled, "You know me and I don't know you. I feel ashamed"

Alex then lowered his feet as he leaned forward while extending his hand, "Yes I am, and you are?"

"Ken."

Alex nodded as he leaned on the chair once again and placed his feet on the table.

"Nice to-"

Alex was cut off as Morgan fell right in between him and Ken, Ken jumped up in shock as Morgan started to mumbled to himself while raising his glass in the air.

"MORE ALE! MOre..." he then flapped his arm on the floor as the tin cup clanked and rolled away.

"Bloody drunk." laughed Alex as Ken noticed that he was laughing along with him.

Keizou's Conversation

Post by Garet » Wed Jul 06, 2005 4:48 pm

“I hate taking care of the drunks…” mumbled Alex as he and Ken were dragging Mirco into the temple.

Mirco didn’t bother using his feet as he was being dragged; the Roman soldier had his head lowered as one arm was over the shoulders of Ken and the other on Alex’s. Morgan on the other hand was being carried by Herc, as he was mumbling some song while waiving an empty glass in the air.

Ken agreed by nodding his head; he was somewhat disappointed in not being able to meet up with Maria. She danced throughout the whole night, not once did she walk away from the dance floor to drink, eat or even greet anyone, her entire time was spent on the dance floor.

“Isn’t Mirco in charge of the wall that surrounds Parna?” questioned Ken to Alex as he nodded.

“Yeah, but in the situation he’s in, he can’t even protect the toilet!” he laughed as they entered a bedroom. This room was different from the one Keizou was in as the entire room was designed in the Japanese culture; Japanese pictures of samurais were on the wall as there were some wooden tables and two mattresses on the floor in which the group placed both Mirco and Morgan on.

Ken then stepped out of the room as Alex and Herc were taking care of their drunken companions; he then bumped into someone as the loud clank of a tray falling on the floor was heard.

“Sorry about that.” He said while the female picked up the tray, “Its ok.” She replied as Ken then realized that it was Sakura.

Ken was about to say something, but Sakura walked away without looking behind her.

Ken was slightly puzzled as to why she didn’t want to talk to him as he turned towards the door that she came out of; it was the room that her brother Keizou was in.

Ken moved his hand towards the handle of the door and paused for a second before opening it, the moment Ken entered, the entire room was dark aside from the blue and white light that was coming in from the opened balcony door. Ken focused his attention to the balcony as he saw Keizou standing and looking at thin multiple lighting bolts that were shooting upwards. Keizou shook his head as he entered the room and closed the balcony doors as the lighting bolts were still shooting upwards outside.

"You must be the new soul that came to Limbo." stated Keizou in the dark as he snapped his finger. A fast and low zzzz was heard all over the room as a light blue light filled the room. Ken noticed that Keizou was back to looking his normal self as he stared at him.

"Yeah." he replied as Keizou nodded his head.

"Did the old man talk about Limbo?"

Ken nodded his head as Keizou sat on a black and gold leather chair, "How much did the old man tell you about Limbo."

"Enough.' Ken then looked at the box on the table that the old man was looking at earlier as he continued, 'But I get the feeling that there's much more..."

Keizou smiled, "If only you knew.' he then waved his hand slightly, 'Enough of the scary talk...has the old man given you the oportunity to choose your weapon?"

Ken arched an eyebrow as he shook his head, Keizou nodded. "I see, well we will get to the bottom of that tommorow, you need to defend yourself in case of a dangerous situation."

"From what? The Angelic Demons?" questioned Ken as Keizou just smiled.

The Dream

Post by Garet » Tue Jul 12, 2005 6:57 pm

Ken looked around at the area he was in; a complete desert...everywhere he looked was an endless horizon of plains and red rock mountains.

"Where am I?" he said to himself as he began to walk. The moment he took a step everything around him went blurry for a split second as he was then standing on a cliff with a man standing infront of him.

The man had his back towards Ken as he was wearing a long brown fur cloak; his wavy long dirty gray hair blew with the wind as he was leaning on a wooden staff in the shape of a tree branch.

"Your not supposed to be here." said the man as Ken raised an eyebrow.

"What are you talking about?"

The old man then turned around as Ken noticed that he was a Native-American; his face was full of wrinkles as Ken could barely see his eyes. "Your destiny lies on Earth.' Ken was about to speak as the Native American stopped him, 'A battle that you cannot escape awaits you..."

"A battle?"

The native american began to walk towards Ken with his eyes opened, his pupils were so dilated that they were double the normal size. "You must become stronger! Search for Hector!"

"Hector..."

The moment Ken said that name, the sky became pitch black as the native american gasped and cursed.

"Why is he here?!"

Ken then began to hear at a distance a noise...it sounded like a scream as it was slowly slowly getting louder.

"What's that?"

"Wake up!' he yelled as Ken looked at him curiously, 'Wake up you fool! You're dreaming!"

Ken couldn't hear what the old man was saying as the scream...no... screams...were getting louder in all directions. The screams sounded like hundreds of children were screaming all at the same time as Ken felt like he was slowly going insane. He then felt something...a presence next to him at a distance as he slowly turned around; the voices where then yelling a name as Ken's eyes were focused upon a shadow.

"Constantine!"
"Constantine!"
"Constantine!"

Ken couldn't make out what the shadow looked like, but he could perfectly notice the shape of a top hat as it was slanted slightly, signifying that it's head was lowered. He doesn't know why...but as Ken continued to stare at the shadow...he felt fear and insanity growing inside of him.

"WAKE UP!" yelled the native american as Ken opened his eyes.

+|+|+|+|+|

"Constantine!" yelled Ken as he sat up on the bed. The bedroom he was in looked exactly like the one Keizou was staying as he the morning light shined through the windows and onto Ken. Ken shook his head slightly as he was thinking of something else.

"No...it wasn't Constantine..the name was Hector."

He then thought of Constantine as for a split second he could have sworn he faintly heard a little girl giggling while thinking of that name.

What the hell was all that about?

Neji's Determination

Post by Garet » Mon Jul 25, 2005 5:53 pm

There were a set of clothes on a chair next to Ken's bed as he slowly made his way there to dress himself. As he was putting on the black pants and t-shirt, Ken noticed these blue lighting bolts outside of his balcony door, the same one's that Keizou was looking at last night.

Curious to what was happening out there, Ken opened the balcony doors as he stepped out. Looking down, he noticed Neji standing in the middle of a non-roof dojo room; the blue lighting appearing infront of him.

Neji's palm was facing downward as a blob of lighting was trying to become into the shape of a ball as the lighting was being blown in every direction. The samurai was grinding his teeth as he was concentrating in forming a perfect sphere, his eyes squinting at the shape of the ball as some of the scattered lighting bolts were being compressed into the sphere.

Almost... he thought to himself with difficulty as he noticed that just by loosing slight concentration on the sphere would enable it to go back to it's chaotic state.

Slowly slowly the lighting bolts were being compressed into a sphere as Neji smiled slightly from what he was seeing. If it wasn't for a few small sparks of lighting coming out, the sphere would be complete; but Neji knows that it must be in a perfect sphere...smooth like a crystal ball...and that was the hardest part.

Thinking that he had the attack nearly completed, Neji felt his hand beginning to tremble. His eyes began to widen slightly as he looked at his hand, only to realize after that he was loosing his concentration on the ball. The sphere began to bubble quickly as Neji tried to control it, but it was too late as an explosion occured; thick lighting bolts were shot in every direction as Neji was pushed back and pined onto a wall.

Ken was about to jump off the balcony to help him when he heard a scream from underneath as a woman ran up to Neji. Looking closely he realized it was Sakura as a pink glow surrounded her brother.

"What are you doing?" he heard her whimper to Neji, but her brother looked away.

"You don't understand...'

He then made eye contact to Ken who walked back into his room.

Malus walked down a dark hallway as his footsteps echoed loudly, his cloak moved silently in different directions as if it was alive. The hallway had very little light, as Malus could barely be seen from the candles that hanged on the walls.

The Atrum stopped instantly as he stared ahead of him; leaning on the black marble door that Malus was staring at was a bare chest dark shadow. His open, long leather black jacket, which matched his pants and boots, was the only thing covering his chest as the figure stood arms crossed. Malus could see two long silver blades, about the length of a forearm and five inches thick in width hanging on both hips;
the handle that connected the blade were in the shape of brass knuckles with spikes.

"Malus...' greeted the dark figure as his face was being covered by the shadow. 'Did you find the city?"

"No..."

The dark figure let out a sigh, "Neither have I, this proves to be more troublesome then expected."

"It must be difficult to find, a city like that shouldn't be easy to be located."

The figure shook his head as he turned around to face the door, revealing a black leather pirate captains hat and long black hair.

"Let us see if any of the others found the city."

Malus shook his head, "I believe we shouldn't find the city ourselves...but to find the person who knows about the city...

The dark figured stopped before entering, "Perhaps...but he will be most difficult to find...let alone persuade into telling us the location."

Ken's Master

Post by Garet » Sun Aug 07, 2005 1:45 pm

During last night's conversation that Ken had with Keizou, the samurai mentioned that Ken was supposed to have a weapon in Limbo. He also mentioned that he was supposed to be trained with his Chi and chosen weapon so he could be prepared for a battle if neccessary. Ken mentioned that he's gotten into fights earlier, but Keizou stated that battles in Limbo are completely different. Keizou mentioned that Ken should head to the main chamber in the temple located at the top floor of the temple when he wakes up in the morning.

The chamber wasn't difficult to find at all, the entire floor is a room as Ken slowly stepped up the last stair and entered through an open thick polished wooden door. The floor was made of white and gray marble as the walls were a cream color wood, there were also long open windows on both sides of the wall all the way down to the other end of the room as these long curtains flowed with the pushing wind. At the opposite end of the room, Ken could make out three people standing and waiting for him as he realized that it was the old man, Keizou and Morgan.

After making his way towards his companions, the old man wasted no time in talking to Ken.

"Keizou told me that he spoke to you about your needed weapon in Limbo."

Ken nodded, "But why is it neccessary to have one?"

"Not only is it for protection with unexpected attacks from the demons, but also it represents who you are." replied Keizou as Ken raised an eyebrow after his last remark.

"It's like your name, people would know you by the weapon you carry and the Chi energy that you use."

The old man nodded his head, "You must always carry your weapon with you and train your Chi.' He then raised his finger and raised his eyebrows, 'I've also been told that you've used a sword back in the other dimension."

Ken nodded his head as the old man smiled, "I would have given you an excellent teacher in training your Chi and the way of the sword, but Keizou himself wants to be your Master.' He then smiled as he waved his hand towards the smilling Keizou, 'Which, Ken, is an honor since he used to be in charge of this city."

Ken's eyes widened as he stared at Keizou, "Wow, thanks."

"No need to thank me kid,' he said, 'I've never had an apprentice before, and you look like the type that could handle my teaching."

The Return

Post by Garet » Thu Aug 25, 2005 6:28 pm

Neji stormed out of the temple doors as the doors swung open with a loud bang. His robe and hair danced in the direction the wind was blowing as he made his way down a path towards a big white tent that had a red cross ontop. His face was mixed with fustration and slight anger as he entered the tent.

The area looked like an old World War medic center, wooden beds were along the side of the tent as people layed on them. He then saw his sister, Sakura, looking over a wounded farmer; she had her hands folded ontop of the middle aged man's knee as a pink glow appeared. The man also appeared to have severe scratches on his bare chest as old dry blood was all over his wrinkled bearded face.

"Where's our brother." stated Neji with an expressionless face towards his sister and wounded man as if he didn't care.

"Not now, Neji." replied Sakura as she continued to stare at her treatment towards the injured man's knee and didn't bother looking up to her brother, from the tone of her voice it appeared she was trying not to loose her concentration.

"He's been away for nearly three weeks."

"And?"

"Without informing me?"

"Why should he inform his younger siblings of his doings?"

"He is in a weak state, and does require my aid."

Sakura lifted her hands in a way as if she was fed up of Neji's presence, "Brother, now is not the time. If you really must know, he left with the new one to the plains."

Neji's eyes widened in shock, "The Plains? He is actually training that one?"

"It was, after all his decision." stated Sakura as he moved on to her next patient and began the treatment.

Neji gripped the handle of his blade tightly and grinded his teeth, the thought of his brother teaching someone he barely knew the way of the sword...no..his way of the sword...instead of teaching it to his younger brother made Neji furious. Neji is after all his younger brother, if Keizou were to teach something it would be to him...not someone else.

Neji then looked at his right palm; the training he's been going through, on his own, to master this skill...something that not only Keizou created, but is known by wouldn't even get his brother's nod of appreciation. Neji then clenched his hand into a fist as he walked out of the medic tent without saying goodbye to his sister.

+|+|+|+|+|

Two hooded figures walked slowly towards the walls of Parna as the wind blew their cloaks, revealing their samurai swords. The tall figure on the left side wore a white cloak and had his black hair in a ponytail as he had his left hand placed on his sheathed blade. He looked at his companion to his right who was wearing a torn up brown cloak which still covered the cloths he was wearing underneath; his hair was a mixture of black with dirty blond streaks, his mouth was also covered by an old brown leather scarf.

"Ken,'' he said as he stopped walking, he waited a moment as Ken stopped and turned to him.

"Yes Keizou,'' he replied as he yanked down the scarf to his neck with his right hand.

Keizou stood silent for a moment as he stared at the walls of Parna, "Rememer what I told you about your abilities..."

" 'To only fight when necessary..' I already know that, you've stressed it many times." he laughed as Keizou stared at Parna again.

The two finally made it to the walls of Parna as the doors appeared and open before them, on the other side was Mirco as he walked towards them with his curly hair bouncing.

"Welcome back guys."

"Thanks Mirco." greeted Ken as he shook the Roman soldiers hand, he then noticed that Keizou was looking at an another direction. Turning his attention towards where Keizou was facing, he noticed that Neji was walking towards them, and by the looks of it...he was pissed.

Ken was caught off guard as Neji appeared right next to him, he quickly turned his head and stared at Neji's eyes as he spoke.

"Fight me."

Confrontation

Post by Garet » Sat Aug 27, 2005 1:49 pm

"What?" Ken was surprised to hear what Neji said, but after staring at him for a brief moment, he knew that the samurai was serious.

With his left hand on his sword, Neji then unsheathed his blade slightly with his thumb as he continued to speak. The pedestrians around the aread were beginning to look at what was happening as some began to have a slight uneasy look.

"Last warning, prepare to fight me."

Mirco raised his hand slightly, "Whoa there Neji, aren't you getting a bit out of hand?"

"Quiet, Roman..." he snapped as Mirco looked shock for a moment, then frowned as he turned to Keizou. The elder samurai shook his head quietly towards Mirco and then stared at Ken infront of him, awaiting for what to happen.

Ken began to ponder for a moment; before they entered Parna, Keizou reminded him never to fight unless it's necessary...is this part of Keizou's training for Ken?

Ken didn't even have time to continue his thought as his reflexes made him unsheath his blade to block Neji's very quick attack; at the close distance they were at and the angle Neji attacked...he was definetaly giving Ken a death blow.

Both blades were interlocked as Ken's shook slightly from Neji's force towards him. The samurai then looked at Ken's blade; the metal was a dark blue as the handle was a dark gray with black lining...he then looked at Ken's eyes as he noticed slight confusing from what was happening.

"If brother must have decided to train you...' he said while applying more pressure towards Ken's blade, '...then he must have seen something in you."

Neji then grinded his teeth as the thought of his brother teaching someone else besides him rushed through his mind as he yelled.

"It doesn't matter! You won't lay a scratch on me!"

Neji then raised his blade as it hit Ken's own blade's handle which made him raise the blade in the air, exposing his chest for an open attack. Ken's eyes widened in shock as he saw Neji's blade going towards his chest, he then purposely fell on his back as quickly as he could as the point of Neji's blade missed his body by inches; Ken then swung his blade on top of Neji's own as he tried to bring it to the ground.

Neji's body vanished in a blur as Ken immediately sharpened his senses; as everthing began to move in slow motion, Ken could hear to his right side a ruffling noise as Neji was running towards him with the tip of his blade cutting slightly the floor towards him. Neji was about to cut Ken at the side of the throat when Keizou appeared right infront of him.

"That's enough." stated Keizou as he stared at Neji, his younger brother was about to argue when he saw Keizou squint slightly; he knew that his older brother didn't want to repeat himself as he obeyed.

"Foolish." spat Neji as he sheathed his blade while looking down at Ken, the wind began to blow slightly as his white robe covered his left torso. Looking back at Keizou for a moment, he didn't say anything as he turned around and walked away.

Mirco then walked next to Keizou, "What's his problem?"

Keizou didn't reply as Mirco knew from his facial expression that he was slightly hurt emotionally from Neji's actions. Keizou then looked at Ken who was bringing himself up to his feet.

"You did well," he said with a slight smile.

+|+|+|+|+|

Neji walked into a pub as he made his way towards the corner table quietly; some of the customers inside looked at Neji with slight fear and aw as they all knew who he was. Neji's reputaion in Parna is well known...but he doesn't know if its from his brother...the former guardian of Parna..or his own skills.

He then sat down as a waitress immediately walked towards him.

"What can I get you'hun?" she questioned; the waitress wore a white shirt with a green skirt that was up to her knees, her chocolate brown hair was in a ponytail as her little freckles across her nose matched the color of her light brown eyes.

Neji was quiet for a moment, "Warm Sake."

"Sure hun,' she replied, the waitress was about to leave when she stopped, 'By the way...are you ok?"

Neji didn't bother looking at the waitress as he replied, "Why do you say that?"

" 'Cuz you're cut hun." she stated.

Neji's eyes widened slowly as he looked at the waitress who was pointing at him. He then slowly looked down as he noticed a slight cut on his left arm.

The chamber was quiet as the old man sat on a tall wooden chair; one of his hands was rubbing his forehead as the other was holding the wooden staff. His long white hair bounced slightly as he shook his head while exhaling slightly.

"Where are they now?" he questioned as he turned his attention to Morgan, who was standing infront of him; the pirate had his arms folded with his head lowered slightly as he was quiet in thought.

"All over Limbo; two of them were located near the Alexandrian borders, another at Raa'zr Mountains and the last one located at the quiet sea..."

The old man shifted slightly, "There's still one missing."

"We're unable to locate him."

The old man again exhaled in frustration as he began to rub his head again; the Atrums have now been on the move all over Limbo...for what purpose?

"...Do they want to start a war?" he questioned to Morgan.

"Unlikely.' replied Keizou as Morgan turned around quickly and the old man jerked his head up in shock as they saw Keizou and Ken walking towards them. The old man raised an eyebrow as he was surprised that he didn't sense the boys spiritual strength; Keizou he wouldn't expect since his skills enable him to compress his Chi so no one could sense it...but the boy also?

'If they wanted a war, they would have had their army marching towards Parna." he continued as the old man leaned forward.

"Then what are they doing?"

"Looking for something,' replied the samurai, 'As Ken and I were training we noticed a Nomad village completely wiped out."

"So, that doesn't mean the dark ones could have done it." stated Morgan as Keizou shook his head.

"It was, the village was wiped out by the work of Syerus. We confronted one of his Gollums...a tracker; so it appears they are looking for someone."

Morgan raised his hands in the air, "A tracker?! Who in the dimension are they looking for...Syerus' trackers are prime in looking for someone. He must mean business if he's bringing them out!"

The old man then stood up as we replied, "I don't know...but we must find out immediately who they are looking for."

+|+|+|+|+|+|+|

Outside of Parna on one of the small hills, a tall man with a red silk cloak stood quietly as he stared at the great city ahead of him. The wind that blew his silk cloak revealed his black boots and white clothing as his bare chest was shown slightly; a black tatoo of an arabic symbol was shown as he covered it up with his cloak. The man's mouth and forehead was also covered by the red silk cloak as his brown eyes continued to stare at the city.

Sakura was all by herself in the medic room as she had a few more patients to look over. She then began to stare curiously at the injuries that her latest patient has; the skin of the man's entire left side has been ripped off, it's obvious due to the fact that she could see the remaining skin has tear marks of some sort. What puzzles her even more is the fact that the man's muscles don't appear to have been ruined at all...it appears that only the skin has been ripped off.

Is he even concious? she thought to herself while lifing up the man's eyelid on the good side of his face; the only thing Sakura saw was the white of his rolled back eyeball.

Sakura jumped back as the eyeball rolled, revealing his brown dilated eye; the man extended his left skinless arm as he grabbed her by the shoulder...blood was oozing all over as he began to hiss something at Sakura.

"The...children..."

Sakura tried to push herself away from the injured man as she began to yell at him to get off her until she heard the last word that came out of the man's mouth.

"Constantine...." he gurgled while widened his eyes; the man then coughed out blood at Sakura's shirt as he tipped over the bed and fell dead onto the floor.

Sakura's eyes widened in fear from what just happened as she then began to hear echoes of little children's laughter around her. Looking around the medic room, the patients began to hear the laughter as well as they started to get freaked out as well. Sakura then noticed from the corner of her eye a shadow of a little girl walking by the entrance door.

It's only an illusion... she kept on saying to herself while closing her eyes. The laughing stopped as she still had her eyes closed for a moment before opening them; she then noticed that the man on the floor was missing...not only that, there was no blood on the floor...and to top it all off...the sheets on the bed looked as if no one was lying on it.

The group inside the chamber were interupted with their meeting as the doors swung open, revealing Mirco walking in with his red cape waving with the wind and his black curly hair bouncing slightly.

"You wouldn't believe who came at the walls of Parna."

The old man raised an eyebrow as Mirco sidestepped and revealed the man wearing the red silk cloak.

"Ah'zab" greeted the old man as he stood up from his chair with his arms extended in welcome. Ken meanwhile looked at Keizou in shock, a Dsanadian was actually infront of him; Keizou kept on mentioning that the Dsandadian's are a proud race who barely leave their country..they concider themselves superiors due to their knowledge of Chi.

Ah'zab walked by Keizou, Ken and Morgan as if he didn't agnowledge their presence as he ended up face to face with the old man. Ken heard whispering from the Dsanadian as the old man's eyes widened in shock.

The old man then walked towards his three companions with his face in shock.

"An assassasination attempt had occured last night on the Queen of Dsan...the guardian of Dsan was killed in the process."

There was a moment of silence in shock as Keizou immediately broke it, "What about the Queen?"

"She lives." replied the Dsanadian as Keizou spoke again.

"The Dark Six?"

"Yes...Neekta."

Morgan exhaled in frustration as he rubbed his head, "'The Nightstalker'...figures...' he then looked at the old man,

'...There's our fifth."

Alex sat quietly at the round wooden table as he looked at the bearded man sitting infront of him; the bald man was sweating from stress as he stared at his cards and the amount of wooden chips that Alex called, his brown eyes going back and forth to his cards and the pile of chips..he then looked to his left. Alex smiled as he looked to his right to see the other man stressing over the call as well as he stared at his cards...the thin bearded man then chugged his glass of ale, "More Ale!" he yelled with a shaky voice while slaming the glass on the table...the chips shook slightly as the man across from him picked up his fallen pieces.

"Relax hun,' snapped the waitress as she walked by him, 'This is a pub you know, you're not the only one."

"So..what are you guys going to do?" questioned Alex with a slight smile as he flicked his closed fist slightly; a long black metalic toothpick appeared coming out of his fist as he placed it in his smiling mouth.

The bearded bald man rubbed his sweating forehead as he mumbled, "Stressed by a boy..."

Alex smiled, "I'm not that young...but I am experience for my age." he then ignored the mumbled curse that the bearded man said to him as the two other oponents folded; after a brief moment the bearded man spoke.

"I call.' he snapped while flipping his cards, 'Full House!"

Alex smiled as his metalic toothpick bounced up, "Straight Flush..."

The bearded man slammed his fist on the table as he jumped up from his seat, "That is the fourth time in a row!"

"Hey, what can you do..." replied Alex with a smile as he grabbed all of his wooden chips. The bearded man then flipped over the table as all the chips went flying, "I think we have ourselves a cheater here...there's no way someone could get four straight flushes in a row."

The pub was dead quiet as Alex motioned to the bar owner not to do anything while he pulled out his toothpick from his mouth.

"Apologize..."

"Fu-" the bearded man didn't complete his sentence as he stopped immediately after feeling a sharp pointy tip of something at his throat; looking down slightly he noticed the black toothpick that Alex had was extended all the way to where he was. Alex just sat quietly as he held the long metallic piece, "Apologize."

"I'm sorry."

The conversation didn't continue as Alex noticed Sakura running by the bar at quick speed, he quickly turned to Neji as he saw that he noticed her running by also; looking at Alex, both quickly jumped off of their seats as they ran out of the pub.

"Sakura!" yelled Alex as he tried to make his way through the crowd, he then felt Neji using his speed as he saw a white line going around the crowd and infront of Sakura.

Alex noticed that Sakura was hugging Neji as her face a buried on his chest. Neji's eyes were widened as Alex began to hear what she was mumbling over and over.

"Constantine was here..."

"What should we do then?" questioned Ken as he took a step towards the old man and Ah'Zab. The Dsanadian turned his head slowly as he looked at Ken as if he was a low life, "Who is his being?" he stated.

The old man raised his hand towards Ah'Zab as he quickly replied, "He is new in Limbo...Keizou is his mentor."

Ah'Zab turned to Keizou as he nodded his head in agreement, the Dsandian then focused his attention back to Ken, "Let me tell you something boy, don't speak in my presence unless you earned it."

Ken could hear Morgan inhaling behind him as he tried to hold in his anger...heck he too was trying not to jump this suck-up silk carpet; but of course, Ken could hear Keizou's warning to 'not start a fight unless it's necessary' rining in his mind.

"We will discuss this matter as soon as possible." replied the old man as Ah'Zab turned to him in slight shock for replying to Ken's question. The old man stared at Ah'Zab for a moment as the Dsanadian bowed his head slightly..."Very well, it is your kigdom after all."

The group turned around quickly as they heard a pop and saw Neji standing behind them as he began to walk towards the old man while ignoring Keizou and Ken.

What is it with everyone against us? he thought to himself as Neji spoke to the old man.

"Impossible!" snapped the old man as Ah'Zab raised an eyerbrow from the old man's reaction.

"You still believe in that story?" laughed Ah'Zab as he turned to the group; the old man mentioned to Ken and his friends that Constantine was sighted in Parna. Morgan's face turned white as Keizou stood quietly; Ken remembers that weird dream he had about Constantine...but he never mentioned it anyone, expecially his mentor, Keizou.

Keizou then squinted slightly as he was thinking to himself, "How could he be seen in Parna?"

"Sakura said she saw a child." replied the old man, Keizou shook his head as he waved his hand slightly.

"It doesn't matter...isn't Parna supposed to be protected -' he was cut off as Ah'Zab let out a slight laugh, the silk scarf around his mouth moved from the movement of his mouth.

"You actually have a spell for a being that doesn't exist?' he then turned to the old man, 'I thought you Parnans had more spiritual knowledge to know that he doesn't exist."

"Ah'Zab,' stated Keizou with a calm voice as he took a step forward...Ken knew that he was getting fed up of the Dsanadian's remarks. 'How could we be for certain? Limbo is full of mystery and secrets that even your kind haven't encountered yet...perhaps Constantine is one of them."

Ah'Zab's eyes widened as his piercing brown eyes stared at Keizou, the Dsanadian quickly walked towards Ken's mentor.

"How dare you insult the knowledge of my people!" from the tone of his voice and the way he's moving towards Keizou, Ken thought that Ah'Zab was going to attack him as he reached for his blade.

"Ken," snapped Keizou without looking at his student froze for a moment, he then noticed that Ah'Zab was staring at him and his hand, which was on the handle of his blade.

"You dare to fight me boy?" he whispered, he then began to walk towards Ken as he continued to talk, "You think that after being trained by Guardian Keizou, you can easily defeat a Dsanadian?"

Ken stood quietly as he stared at Keizou, who had his eyes closed and his head lowered...he could hear Keizou's warning during his training period ringing in his mind...Never start a fight.

"Let me tell you something boy...' he hissed as his brown eyes stared at his own, 'Not even after a century of training will you reach me."

Ken's hand on his samurai sword was shaking in anger as he wanted to unsheath it as cut Ah'Zab's throat...but he stood his ground as Ah'Zab stood at striking distance from Ken, as if he was mocking him.

"I could feel your spiritual pressure boy...' he whispered while closing his eyes slowly, 'You want to strike me....you want to use your spiritual strength into your strike and attack me with quick and deadly speed."

Even with the silk scarf covering his mouth, Ken could see the outline of Ah'Zab's smile as he continued mocking him, "Such a foolish attack if you wanted to strike me like that...it clearly shows you were trained by Keizou."

Ken was about to unsheath his sword when someone appeared with quick speed infront of him. Neji stood next to Ah'Zab as his left hand was holding his blade which was being pressed onto the Dsanadian's throat...

"You dare insult my familly...' Ah'Zab smiled as his eyes shifted to his left side while Neji continued, 'The once was guardian of this city and the one who single handidly defeated Serpico!"

Neji's grip tightended as he grinded his teeth, "Show me a Dsanadian that has done what my brother has accomplished!"

Ah'Zab laughed, "You actually believe you have me in submission?"

A loud tap was then heard throughout the chamber and everyone turned their attention to the old man as he held his brown wooden staff firmly in one hand. His blue eyes stared at the group as he spoke, "That's enough"

Ken stood up firmly as he released the grip on his blade, Neji on the other hand was still standing with his blade pressed on the throat of the Dsanadian for a moment before stepping back. The samurai cursed in Japanese as he sheathed his blade and walked towards the large open window, only to vanish in a blur.

Ah'Zab looked at the old man for a moment as he bowed slightly before turning around and walking out of the chamber...not paying attention to the low lives around him.

Ken and Keizou stepped out of the chamber as they made their way quietly down the temple's hallway; both were quiet after the brief meeting with the old man and Morgan. Ken was thinking about the old man's decision over the Queen's attempted assassination as he turned to his Master;

"Do you think it's a good idea?"

Keizou raised his eyebrows slightly, "With what?"

"The old man's decision..."

"For us to go to Dsan?' questioned Keizou as he pushed open the temple doors; both he and his student then began to head towards the public streets of Parna as Ken waited patiently for his master to continue with his response.

Keizou looked at Ken with a slight smile, 'I trust the old man's decision..." he stated.

"But for us to go into Dsan...I mean, can you imagine how it will be for us to enter an entire city of Dsanadians who act like Ah'Zab?"

Keizou laughed as he stopped infront of a wooden shack that was selling fruits, "Ah'Zab is a special case, he's one of the Nobles in Dsan..." he then picked some apples and banana's as he paid the lady. Ken then began to think about the incident with Ah'Zab and Neji earlier as the samurai mentioned his brother accomplishing something by defeating someone; he then started at Keizou for a moment while he was bitting into a bright red apple.

"Keizou, what was your brother talking about?"

"Hm?" he replied as he bit into the apple again as a loud crunch was heard; Ken knew that Keizou heared him.

"Who is Serpico?" Ken stated, Keizou stopped walking as the civilians began to pass around him and Ken; Ken's master stopped chewing as he lifted his apple slightly and stared at it with a slight smile.

"That's a story for another day." he replied, after swallowing.

"You said that when I brought up that 'sickness' you have..."

"And I have...' he then placed his hand on Ken's shoulder, 'I'm just waiting until you're ready."

Ken arched an eyebrow; he didn't know what Keizou meant by that, and Keizou didn't give him the oportunity to continue the conversation as he continued to walk down the crowded path while chewing on his apple.

"You should get some rest Ken, we're leaving tommorow in the afternoon.''

Ken was walking along a dirt path as he checked his surroundings; on his left and right side was a single row of tall trees as it followed the path he was walking on. The tree were weaping willows as the long branches danced with the wind while Ken continued to walk down the long path, not paying attention to the environment beyond the trees. Ken then noticed a figure at a distance as he tried to make out who it was; the figure had his back facing Ken...but he knew from the samurai robe and the poneytail that it was his mentor, Keizou.

As Ken walked closer towards his mentor, he noticed from the corner of his eyes the old wrinkly man with the long brown fur cloak, standing next to a tree. He pointed towards Keizou while the branches of the weaping willow next to him passed right by him; Ken couldn't believe his eyes as he then saw an eagle flying away where the old man was standing before.

Ken finally reached Keizou as he still had his back facing him; "Master? Are you alright?"

Keizou turned his head slowly as he stared at Ken over his shoulder expressionless...he then turned back facing away from Ken once again without saying a word. Ken arched his eyebrow as he noticed that Keizou's arm was moving towards his face, but he couldn't figure out what his master was doing since his back was facing him.

In an instant Ken felt a tremendous dark spirtiual energy coming from Keizou as a gush of wind blew towards him, black fire began to appear on the weaping willows and all around Ken. He didn't know what was happeneing as the black flames was spreading all around in a liquidfied manner...

"Master!" he yelled while a wall of black fire surrounded Ken and his Master; Keizou, on the other hand stood still as if he didn't notice what was happening.

He then began to turn slowly towards Ken as his apprentice gasped; while Keizou turned, Ken noticed a silver mask on his face...it had two small horns coming out of the forehead as his eyes were pearl white and the mouth was a circle with bars coming down...Ken could see his master's smiling teeth behind the bars as white thick smoke began to come out.

Keizou's hairband broke as his hair began to turn white, his robe turned pitch black...he then unsheathed his sword and extended his arm towards Ken as he pointed his sword downwards; starting from the tip of the blade, a line of black fire began to circle its way, like a slow slithering snake, around the blade as his entire sword began to turn white.

Within a split moment, the entire sword, from the handle to the hand guard and blade was one solid white colour as his master stood in that position without moving. Ken then noticed that he had his blade in his hand as well while he looked back at his...Master.

Keizou then swung his blade diagonaly in an upwards direction as a black diagonal beam went towards Ken with quick speed; but Ken was ready as he lifted his blade to block it...what he didn't expect was the black beam to burn through his blade and himself as if they weren't there...

"Shit" he mumbled as he stared at his blade falling apart and saw the blood squirting out of his body as he slid apart...

+|+|+|+|+|

Ken jumped out of bed, yelling, as he tumbled onto the nightstand next to him and fell to the floor; he didn't notice, but he was swinging his blade in thin air while someone entered his room.

"What's going on-" Sakura didn't have time to continue her sentence as she screamed while Ken appeared in front of her with the tip of his blade on her throat. She noticed Ken was drenched with sweat as his bangs were stuck onto his forehead while he breathed deeply, judging from his eyes it appeared he doesn't know what's happeneing or where he is.

Ken blinked a few times as he noticed who was infront of him and what he was doing...

"What the hell...." he mumbled while taking a few steps back, only to tumble upon his own feet. Sakura immediately went next to him as she placed her wrist on his forehead...

"Your burning! ...But you have no fever...How can that be, it's bloody cold in your room and you even have your windows open..."

Ken then began to feel his chest to see if there weren't any cut marks on him...he realized that what he experienced was a dream, but it felt so weird. He then began to wonder how in the world he had his blade with him while he was sleeping...

"Sorry...' he mumbled while getting up, Sakura got up as well as she stared at him while he continued, 'I had a bad dream."

"You too huh...' she said, 'My brother had one as well, but it was caused from his illness...I just finished treating him."

"Your brother...' he said to himself as the image of Keizou with that silver mask popped in his mind, he then shook it off as he smiled. 'Thank you for coming into my room Sakura.' he said while walking towards his sheath to place his blade in, 'But I'm alright now."

Sakura stood still for a moment as she stared at Ken and smiled, "Alright," she said quietly while bowing slightly and walked out of his room. Ken stood ontop of his sheathed blade as he stared at his own reflection from the mirror infront of him...he then noticed from the corner of the mirror the darkk outlining of a big bird ontop of his balcony fence as it spreaded it's wings and flew away quickly into the night sky.

Ken couldn't sleep the remainder of the night as he paced around his room with dozens of questions running through his mind; primarily about Limbo itself. There's so many secrets ontop of one another that Ken doesn't even know if he should bother figuring them out...at least for now; his concern though should be this sickness his master has.

Dawn was approaching now as Ken slowly made his way out of the temple and towards the city gates; his dark blue cloak tightly coverd his black clothing as the morning wind gave him a slight chill. Some of the markets were already open for business; the merchants yelling the names of weapons, food, clothing and magic. The sight of those big red apples made Ken's mouth salivate as he made his way towards the african merchant.

"What can I do for you my friend?" he asked with an accent, Ken immediately picked up an apple as the merchant continued.

"5 Bronze coins."

Reaching into his pouch he was about to give the merchant the coins when a hand reached out next to Ken and gave the merchant the money. Looking over his shoulder he saw Captain Morgan and Herc; the Captain had a smile on his face and Herc was emotionless as usual.

"Heading to Dsan now eh?" questioned Morgan as Ken took a bite from his apple, the three then made their way down the city streets.

"Keizou wants to be at the city gates before nightfall." he replied as the captain nodded his head.

"If you travel lightly without any breaks or interfearance...that should be a reasonable time to get there."

Ken looked at Morgan with a puzzled expression, "Worried about something?"

"Very,' Morgan replied quickly, 'I'm concerned about the Atrums...more specifically the Dark Six"

"What about them?"

"You already know that there was a failed assassination attempt on the Queen of Dsan...which is very rare for the dark six...expecially the assassin that did it,''

"Yeah and?"

"And...I know for a fact that Neekta - the Dark Six assassin - will want to complete his or her mission."

"So Neekta could still be around the Dsanadian borders?" questioned Ken as he began to wonder about the situation if they would encounter the assassin.

"Most definetaly."

"We could take care of the assassin."

"Ken,' snapped Morgan gently as he grabed Ken by the shoulder, 'I know Keizou is with you and you've heard stories about his glory and all...but I must stress out that Keizou isn't in his prime to fight someone like a Dark Six at this moment...try to avoid an intense battle along the way."

Ken nodded his head as Morgan smiled, "Speaking of Keizou," he pointed towards the gates as Ken looked in his direction. Keizou was standing near the gates along with Alex, Maria, and Neji. Both Alex and Maria looked as if they were prepared as well for traveling.

"Morning,' smiled Keizou, to Ken's surprise, his Master looked different; he stood tall and firm instead of his usual fatigued expression. His white cloak blew in the wind as it revealed his white sheathed blade.

Morgan smiled as he looked at his old friend, "Your back with the guardian clothing days...all white."

"It's the way of our familly." whispered Neji as he stared at Ken, the last time these two met near the gates both of them fought and as much as Neji doesn't want to admit it...Ken was victorious in that battle because he drew first blood.

Neji didn't notice but he was tightly gripping on the handle of his sword as Ken walked by him.

"Are we all traveling?" questioned Ken to his master.

"No, Alex and Maria are going to Alexandria while Herc and Morgan are heading towards the Quiet Sea. We must find out the reason why the Dark Six are spreading themselves all around Limbo...they must be looking for something."

"They could even be heading in the unknown areas beyond Raaa'zr Mountains." stated Morgan as Neji stepped into the conversation.

"They're looking for something," Keizou nodded his head towards his brother, "Most probably, and I'm guessing it has to do something with the Queen."

"Then let's get going," stated Ken as Keizou smiled.

"Yes...to Dsan."
