Resen closed the holoprojector instantly and took the diary and Folai's only with him,he wore his Sith robe and took his lightsabers of the hilt.He got near her and gave her a turboblaster and a vibrosword.

''Folai! There are about 20 Selkaths outside serving the police and we have to go to this place swim to that ship and then contact my master again...we will fight out way out...''A s he showned Folai the route in his datapad.

The instantly opened the door after Folai nodded and he run onto to landing pad cutting flesh with his two lightsabers and force pushing others.Folai herself killed a couple of Selkaths as Resen killed about 10 running to the destination. After some persuit killing force powers and lightsaber high skill they were into the water wearing special masks and Selkaths were behind them.

Resen then knew it would be difficult to reach the starship with them in their trail and heels. He motioned Folai to continue as he opened his lightsaber and he moved towards them now.Getting some shots away with his lightsabers Resen got a huge inwater force push against them senting them meters back and then rashed back to swimming...after minutes they were inside the Starship and the police had lost them thanks to Resen's force ability

''This is getting tiring and it is like i am being tested!''He shouted as they entered the starship and he rashed to contact Velok ignoring Folai.

''Master,i am inside the place you said and i hope i will not be interrupted again by those scums...''

The ships had formed up into the hunting party and made their first jump to find the destroyers. Turned out there first jump was the right choice, though from the hyper space point the Sith took had less then a handful of outlets. This added to the fact that the Sith were new to this area of space, the SA commanders figured in that the Sith likely didn't have a good star map of the area.

"Found them sir! We passed them." The Hunting party had a new commander when they formed up. A Nighten female captain of the Ra Calium "Hawk". She is one of the few Nighten to leave there home and has done well during her career. Her experiences have mostly been dealing with pirate ships and war games with other fleets. She never had to deal with such large ships before. "Bring us about, standard formation and inform command we have caught up with the hostiles." Earlier she had requested known data on the star destroyers. She was still shifting through that data when they made the jump.

They weren't all that fast, half as fast as her ships, with that sort of mass needing to be pushed around it was no wonder. One on one they had the same fire power as her own ship, in the form of over a hundred weapons. Again with such mass they would need more weapons to cover a wider range of attack... All her ships together though were more then a match for the two Destroyers, but it still be one hell of a fight. "Ma'am, they are heading out, they are making a dive for the star. They look like they are trying to pass by us with as much distance as they can put between us."

"They may also hope to use the gravity from the star to speed their ships up as well." She said not really to anyone, mostly thinking out loud. "Orders ma'am?" She brought up the tactical screen. Spread the fleet out and target here." Sher pointed where the course of the destroyers would bring them. "The moment they in range let them have it, target their engines as they go by. Follow them in parallel."
Simple, with a few variables.

1: The forces of their shots could disrupt the destroyers flight path enough to cause one to get caught in the suns gravity and get pulled in.
2: The initial bombardment should weaken their shields enough to let them blow out the engines to the ships, which would strand them in the system and she could wear them down and even force a surrender.
3: Even if they did manage to still get away, the ships should sustain further damage and when found again easier to deal with.

She didn't much like the third one, but it was still a good option. Of course if they weren't so luck to find them again... "Have our deployed fighters head to the hyper point they are likely to take to cut them off."

OOC/ If I go too far with this, let me know. I sat here for like half an hour thinking of every possible maneuver. So much for a day off. :D

IC/ "Hostiles are launching fighters..."

"They've figured it out, Captain," said Kelen Adwar quietly.

"Thank you, Operative. Continue towards the system primary, maximum burn." They're angling to run parallel with us, so they're not diving into the gravity well. We'll have to fight the well on the way out.

"There's no dishonour in calling for reinforcements. You're outgunned about three to one."

"If I do, they'll call for reinforcements too. I need to think, Operative." Not many people had shut up a Sith. Captain Selvik took some solace in that.

We have so much momentum that we're committed to going around the star one way or another. Nothing, but nothing, is stopping these ships. A mile of steel.

We could angle even closer in, make a hairpin turn...if we had more shield strength. We'd burn up, that close to the star. Still, it's an option.

We could go around the other side of the star and slingshot through their fleet. They'd hit our engines from behind, but if they expect us to keep going the way we're going, they won't redeploy their fighters.

Best of a lot of bad options.

"Shields online, Captain. Half strength. Kinrath is reporting shields are fully recharged."

Thank the Dark Lords for small mercies.

She gave her orders, conferred with Kelen Adwar, had a couple of words with a tiny hologram the fleet commander, and it began.

The two Star Destroyers bore down on the star, going for the slingshot as the Systems Alliance commander apparently expected, with those fighters out there waiting at the jump point. At a nod from Selvik, Kelen retreated to the ready room behind the bridge, to join a meditating pair of Amphi-Hydrus mentalists. The illusion took shape, affecting the minds of everyone in the system as all illusions do, even sensor operators...and nothing changed. The illusion was just the Star Destroyers, exactly as they appeared in real life down to the battle damage, but superimposed over the real ships. Nothing had visibly changed.

Then the Star Destroyers banked hard to starboard, coming in very close to the star that burned at their port shields. But as they broke away, they became invisible, and the illusory Star Destroyers continued on to go around the star clockwise as planned and expected. The real Star Destroyers came in very close to the star, going around it counterclockwise.

The illusion would only last a few minutes before it faltered or the Anari Huntresses realized what was happening and informed the Systems Alliance commander. But a few minutes in which everything looked exactly like the Systems Alliance commander expected was a few minutes in which the fighters remained far out.

As the Kinrath and the Ajunta Pall slingshotted around the star, their velocity increased drastically...and they were headed straight for the group of Systems Alliance ships that was farther to their left. And as they rounded the star, then peeled away from the star at high velocity, they began to launch bombers and starfighters - the shielded ones first, while they were still close to the star, anxious to get everything out. The Systems Alliance fighters would be on them soon enough, but for the moment they were out of position, and the two Star Destroyers launched everything. They'd taken significant fighter losses, but at full strength each one could muster a full wing of fighters (three squadrons of shielded TIEs, two of heavy Supa fighters, and one of bombers), plus Skipray blastboats, gunboats and so forth. In terms of big guns and heavy missile bays, the Systems Alliance fleet had the Star Destroyers outgunned about three to one, but the Sith Empire flotilla had well over a hundred and sixty starfighters and assault ships when it was at full strength. At the battle at Thesstria, where only shielded Interceptors and gunboats had been deployed, the tough Supa fighters remained unlaunched and undamaged. At Thesstria, the SE had lost just over a third of its TIEs and several gunboats - heavy losses. Therefore, only a hundred and thirty remained, but even before battle losses at Thesstria the eight SA ships had only been able to field ninety-six starfighters. And with the SA fighters temporarily waiting out by the hyperspace jump point, only the SA capital ships' close defense guns posed any threat to the fighter flotilla for the moment. Warheads erupted from the Supas, the bombers, the gunboats and the blastboats as the small craft vanguard rolled into the oncoming fire of the SA ships' point defense guns. The shielded Interceptors focused on the point defense guns themselves, and on incoming warheads. The goal of the entire fighter offensive was to occupy the Kularis frigates.

Behind them roared the Star Destroyers, aiming to punch a hole in the formation. Both would focus their fire entirely on the Ra Cailum battleship, hoping to quickly knock out its disproportionately strong shields, after which (should it occur) the Kinrath's sixty ion cannons would attempt to disable it while the turbolasers of both ships all focused on a single Clop.

Star Destroyers, after all, were passable at broadsides, but were designed to be able to fire all their weapons at targets directly ahead of them. Hundreds of heavy turbolasers focused on the Ra Cailum, unleashing firepower that could literally sterilize planets.

The whole thing was a desperate maneuver, designed to give one final punch. The more maneuverable SA ships would hit the Destroyers from behind as they passed, unless the Destroyers' desperate and perhaps unexpected charge threw them into disarray. Selvik expected to lose, but to do serious damage in the process.

Manaan

The comm unit...gurgled.

A minute later, Velok came through the airlock, wringing water from his dreadlocks. Folai shrank back, vibrosword raised. The blade hummed and snarled as she engaged it. She swung at Velok...

Who caught the vibroblade.

It should have sheared his fingers off in an eyeblink, cut his palm in two and shaved off half his forearm, but instead the blade just stayed there, caught in his three big fingers. He opened his hand and shoved the blade back, and ceased using the Zeison Sha Force technique that he'd used to make his hand almost indestructible. "So you're Resen's apprentice. I'm his master, Torkan. Pleased to meet you." He shoved past her, and past Resen, then ducked into the cockpit of the Wayward Son and gunned the repulsorlifts. "This is my ship," he shouted back over the roar of displaced water, "my home. Please be careful with it."

The rounded-off transport left the water and accelerated into the sky. Manaan airspeeders chased it up, firing at it.

"Get in the turrets! Cover us until we hit space - and if they get starfighters up, you'll have to protect us until we get to hyperspace!"

The Commander watched as the Destroyers followed the projected path. It occurred to her that the battle may go better then she first thought. The Destroyers shields would already be strained from holding off the heat and radiation of the star. As the first destroyer came into range all the closest ships opened fire unleashing everything they had onto it.

"Something isn't right... Tactical are you seeing that?" The Commander walked closer to the view port. The Tactical officer and others looked out as well. The missiles and beams were passing through the Star Destroyer. "Just what is that?!" The Bridge's door opened, the Nighten commander turned to see who it was, a Huntress Pilot. "They are fake! Those Sith projected those into your mind!" Yelled the Anari. The Commander went wide eyed and looked back out, but the ships were gone. The Huntress continued. "Now that you know the projection is gone..." The Commander looked back at the Huntress then to her Tactical officer. "Well where are they then?!"

The Sensor operator yelled, "Destroyers coming around from the other side of the star... FAST!" The Commander ran back to her command chair and commed the fleet. "Hold your fire! Those ships are fake! See how our weapons pass through them?! The Destroyers from the far side are the real ones..." She looked to the Huntress. "Right?" The Huntress nodded. "Change targets! Avoid them from ramming you!" She turned and sat down. The fleet started to disburse making sure to clear the now speedy destroyers. "Call back the Hawk's fighters. Have the other ships launch there fighters!"

"Enemy fighters coming in!" Yelled the sensor operator. The Tactical officer issued orders for the AA guns to open up. Space between the larger ships and the incoming SC Fighters was filled with small arms beam fire. The catapults on the Clops launched their fighters as fast as they could while the Kularis ships merely dropped their Ghosts out into open space, which then launched off to engage the enemy. Then the big guns opened up in a fury on the Star destroyers, who returned in kind, firing everything they had into the Hawk.

Hawk trembled from the combined fire power of the destroyers. The shields held mostly but they were fading fast. Soon the commander would get to see first hand how lunar titanium held up to such a fire storm. Then it hit her, the destroyers were designed mostly to bring all fire power forward. "Full ahead! Bring us past them and hurry!" Hawk's pilot brought the ship back parallel with the destroyers and pushed the engines to maximum output. As the Hawk started to pass the one Destroyer the other wouldn't be able to fire, not with out shooting the first ship. The Hawk's massive weapons easily followed the Destroyer as it passed continuing its own onslaught on the ship, while fewer hostile cannons could be brought onto the ship. It was a instant relief for the shields which started to stand firmer, though servery weakened and still fading.

The SA fighters preyed mostly on the slower less nimble bombers, while staying as nimble as possible and taking short shots/runs on the interceptors to keep them at bay. As they were closer to the SA capital ships the AA fire lessened to prevent friendly fire on the SA fighters, but they were still a constant danger. Torpedo and missile strikes to the other ships weren't a joke either. A clop was the unlucky one that lost its shields from the the first pass of the bombers. Then during the heated dog fight one of the bombers got lucky and put a torpedo into the ship's bridge. Though the ship started to drift its weapons and crew continued to fight.

"The moment we have a shooting solution on its engines blow they away!" The Commander said while putting on a normal suit, just as the rest of the bridge crew had done in turns. With the shields dangerously low the bridge could become a target. While the suits wouldn't protect them from a turbolaser blast or missile they would protected them for the vacuum of space if they did survive some how.

Resen looked at Velok and nodded to his master.''I will do it immediatly Master.''

He and Folai got to the turrets as the starship started gettin of the water and into the space. The battle was intense and after all this one thing that was sure was that Resen would never stepp foot to Maanan once again. After all the heavy fighting they were finally in the hyperspace.

Resen did a good work with the turbolasers so do Folai and retured to the cockpit to meet Velok.

''Now master?''Resen said trying to calm from the fight with the Selkath authorities starships.

(OOC Note-Sorry for the short post buddy didnt had the time for more details sadly. )

"Message the Kinrath! All ion cannons focus on shieldless ships as they become available!"

They were passing through the formation now, as the SA ships broke around them to attack the rear of each Star Destroyer. That was too late for a straight-on firing solution, but perfect for a broadside. Thirty heavy ion cannons snapped lightning through the shieldless, bridgeless Clop, then moved on to other targets whose shields were low or gone - like the Kularis frigates which had been the main target for the bombers. Shieldless ships also found themselves targeted by the ion cannons on the gunboats, blastboats, and Supa fighters.

"Shields at twenty-five percent - Kinrath's shields at fifty-five percent."

"Break into defensive formation omicron three."

The helmsman winced, but engaged the hardline link to the Kinrath's helmsman once again.

The two Star Destroyers, which had been stacked one on top of the other, split apart, looped around as tight as possible. They kept traveling in the direction they'd been going - their momentum was enormous - but by amplifying the burn from the outside engine, they boosted the effect of their guidance thrusters and etheric rudders. As they moved towards each other - still taking punishing fire from the SA ships - they continued their loop, using their own engines as braking thrusters, and shut off their engines at exactly the proper point - a point precalculated by SE battle computers for omicron three, and executed by living helmsmen.

They were now back to back, traveling sideways together, with maybe a kilometre in between. A nasty maneuver, one that could have spelled disaster...and it still took some adjustments by maneuvering jet and etheric rudder to get it perfect. But they were back to back, now, firing at all comers in all directions.

One last stand, apparently.

On a smaller map, the Star Destroyers looked not unlike this, traveling in the direction indicated by the arrow:

"Now, Resen," said Velok as he sat down with his apprentice and with Folai, "we discuss the truth.

"My apprentice told you he was a Sith cultist from a group called the Fire-born. They're a real group, but he's a true Sith, not some leftover cultist. I am a Dark Lord of the Sith Empire, and the mission you've completed has benefited the Sith Empire greatly. Fewmets' journal will give us information on other survivors of the Order of Shasa, some of whom are also loyal to the Sith Empire. We need information on our allies, you see.

"Now, Resen, leave us. I wish to examine Folai's progress."

After Resen left, Velok spent several hours testing Folai's progress in the Force, and getting to know her. Then he set her to a training task involving blocks and telekinesis, and returned to speak with Resen in private.

"I'll drop you off on the Bothan planet of Kothlis. There's a lightsabre in the form of a tomahawk, covered in Sith runes. The hatchet head can cut anything, even a Sith sword. It may be capable of breaking the blade of a lightsabre.

"It is being kept in a Bothan crime lord's home; I've allowed it to remain there, as it's safe, but now I need it. This will be a true test of your skills, Resen. You will need to kill, but one at a time, using stealth. If all his guards converge on you, you will die. They know how to fight Forcers, using poison gas and sonic weapons and droids and explosives. Be very careful. You're an investment for me, and I'd hate for my time to be wasted. If you need backup, call this number. One of my people will answer."

He dropped them off at the Kothlis spaceport and took off again, leaving the star system.

Resen looked at Folai and he smiled touching her hip.''He was a litte scary eh?''She didnt reply and Resen got infront of her stopping her from keeping walking.''Folai,i lied to you because i had to follow my Master's orders...i am a Sith and i follow the ways of the Sith,in contrary with many persons on this galaxy i am a real Sith trained by true Siths and not darksider or a cultist. Our name has become bad and many people claim to be Sith's withoung really being something like this.I want to protect you help you reach the rank of a true Sith.I need you by my side Folai.

She smiled now and Resen kissed her.''I have been used to your presence now...come on now..we will find the Mansion of this crimelord.''They walked together up to a cliff. In the plains under it a lone castle like mansion was there and Resen knew the lightsaber like tomahawk was inside. He montioned to Folai to stay there they were.''It is far too difficult and dangerous most especially for you Folai. You please stay there while i get there and be back here...''She nodded and he got into stealth moving to the mansion.

He had her ring with him in case he had to make someone frozen. He reached the door which was open and two guards were sitting infront of it.He got between them unspotted and almost simuntaniuosly touched them with the ring making them froze. He then was inside. He saw that the main hall had two ladders wich were leading in the upper floor. His Master had told him that they had hide the lightsaber in the second floor. He so proceeded to the first.

After meating some guards and killing them he was in the second. No security alarm to now no intense in the rooms nothing. It was clear now that he had to find it.He opened a door the only single door of the only room in the floor and saw 2 guards inside. They now knew someone was in stealth inside but before they could react Resen force light them and killed them.He then got them frozen and stood them up again like nothing had happened even if they were paralized. He now had the lightsaber in his hands.

In his way out the Stealth was over and he faced something unpleasent.4 guards along the crimelord were waiting him.He ingitiated his two lightsabers and charged. The two remained with the boss and the other two approached Resen. He smiled and got up to them with Makashi and spin off attacks.Resen style of fighting was more of an elegant swordsman,Tyrranus type and not a savage warrior Maul like creature. He got to kill the two guards but very difficult. He then faced othe two.The crime boss was fat and old so no threat.

The one was killed and only one guard remained. But he was the best.In an instant attack he had Resen on the ground with his weapon on his chest. The young Sith almost had acepted his fate but before the guard could pull the trigger Folai appeared behind him and cut his throat.Resen glared at her and he also saw the crime boss dead.He smiled at her got up and hug her.He then did something for the first time...he kissed her passionately.

They started walkign then leaving the mansion there...the crime lord dead the blaster turrets alone with no operators his guards dead and some frozen. They had achieved even if not working tottally together but her courage to go there and help him even though he didnt want her to involve prove to be good.

''My Lord,we are done with this...i have your desire in my hands..''Resen said as he and Folai appeared on Velok via hologramm.

Of the fleet, one Clop and 2 Kularis were disabled or about to be. Hawk its self was taking ion fire causing its systems to flutter for for the moment they held on. "WE have a hyper comm transmission, but the ion attack has made it impossible to make out ma'am!" The Nighten commander looked over at the comm officer then back at the Destroyers. They had begun a maneuver she didn't expect from ships so large. She watched with a raised brow. "It must be reinforcements... Draw power from weapons and boost our signal. Transmit the current situation and make sure it get out of that ion storm. Don't need them exiting only to ram one of us or the destroyers." The Destroyers maneuver completed she couldn't help but be in aw. "Tell me we recorded that..." The Tactical officer nodded when the commander looked at him.

"Signal sent ma'am, I'm 90% sure it got through." She nodded, "Good. Concentrate all fire power on the weaker of the two ships, target the bridge section and the heavy cannons lining the command structures!"
At this time the Hawk's fighters managed to join the rest of the SA fighter screen, while it isn't much of a reinforcement for the already battered squadrons, it was still a sight for sore eyes. Then in a distance a new ship exited hyper space, a Reinforce-Class. It quickly oriented its self with one of the Destroyers, with a woman's voice comming the local SA forces that may have been between them and the ship. "Get out of the line of fire!"

Any thought of "why?" faded instantly as it was clear then primary weapon of the Reinforce-class opened and the tell tail charge of the weapons glowed and arched electricity. On the bridge Chris watched as a Clop and a few fighters evacuated the line the fire. The moment they were clear Chris turned and walked out of the bridge stating, "Fire."

The Reinforce-class visibly was pushed back when its Hyper-Mega Particle Beam Cannon fired. The Beam lanced out at the destroyer, pierced through what little remained of its shields and burned a hole diagonally through the front top of the ship clear through its reactor bulging from the bottom.

Chris already in her flight suit, entered the rear recovery hanger where her ExoShell waited for her, the "Alex Next". She simply called it Alex. As she got close to her unit she jumped off the floor, and thanks to near zero gravity they maintain there, was able to float up into the cockpit. She went through a shortened start up sequence as Alex was already online. The cockpit close and Alex reached out and grabbed its beam rifle. In moments Chris in Alex launched and was on her way to the battle, closely followed by the fighters launched from her ship, the "Endeavor".

A spear of light transfixed the Ajunta Pall, followed by a flare so bright that the reactive transparisteel went fully opaque. The violated fusion reactor sprayed its contents through the Star Destroyer's hull. Captain Selvik shivered as the ship went dead - all its power, all its weapons.

Behind her, metal squalled. "Captain, you've led us to our deaths," said Kelen Adwar. "You've lost your ship and your crew when you could have called for aid or blind-jumped away. Your pride has lost you your command, your honour, and your life."

A red glow limned the dark and quiet bridge. In the crew pits, officers were standing to look up at Captain Selvik. The Elomin woman turned and stared into a pleasant face: chocolate skin, long pale hair, more laugh lines than not. Kelen held up her lightsabre. "For the lives of thousands of your crewers, then, I sentence you to death."

Selvik's horned head rolled across the cold dark deck.

Outside, the Kinrath's captain panicked and slapped the hyperdrive controls. It hyperjumped blind and short, just for a couple of minutes, leaving it drifting in interstellar space. It would be impossible to trace or to find.

"Good. Your extraction is nearly there. Velok out."

Some time later, they were approached by a red-skinned woman with facial tattoos. "I'm Darth Consecrai," she said, examining Resen. Interesting. Velok's fake apprentice had become his real apprentice...except she, Skavi, was his real apprentice. Did this mean he expected them to fight? Or did it mean she was ready to graduate and move on? "You have the lightsabre of Kishkumen?"

"We do," said Folai. "Who are you - more Sith Empire crap?"

Skavi snorted. "Dear me, no. Give me the sabre."

"Then who are you?"

Skavi's fist clenched and the tomahawk lightsabre ripped itself from Resen's hands and settled into hers. "I'm the kriffing Dark Lord of the Sith, girl," she said, though she was about Folai's age or not that much older - in her mid thirties. "I'm Velok's first apprentice."

Resen examined her and was almost shock that Velok had another apprentice. He then spoke at her.

''Why Velok has sent you here?Is something that you are brining me in behalf of my Master?''

"No, I'm just here to pick up the lightsabre." She activated it and spun it. The hatchet blade and the hammer on the back made a crossguard hilt, and it was all shiny black metal made with Sith alchemy; it could stop a lightsabre. And do more than stop it. She turned it off and clipped it to her belt. "And to give you and Folai here a ride to your next destination, a nearby planet: Bothawui. Velok destroyed a Dark Jedi academy hidden in the Manarai Mountains, and he wants you to check and make sure nothing is there - or to kill anything or anyone you find there.

"Don't look so surprised, Resen. Betrayal is the way of the Sith, secrets, layers of information. Not many people in the Sith Empire even know I exist."

"I'll wait at the foot of the mountains; you'll head up a narrow valley until you see a boulder. You need to roll the boulder away with the Force - and it's pretty big. There's a network of caves beneath that used to be the academy. There may be Sith cultists there, drawing on the little bit of power in the academy. They're not the same Sith that were there. There may be spirits there of the Sith that Velok killed. There may be creatures of the Dark Side like hssiss or tuk'ata or terentateks. Be prepared. Kill everything you can."

She took them to Bothawui and dropped them off, then sat there on the ramp of her ship, waiting by the beach. Once they were gone she changed into a swimsuit and went into the ocean.

While walking the narrow valey to find the boulder and the entrance of the catacombs of the cave Resen started speaking to Folai.''My girl,i trust you with my life once we enter there as i do with yours. The most chances are that we will find some terentakles and some tukatas and thats all but if there are living men there or spirits it would be better to have a lightsaber with you.

I will give you my one lightsaber Folai if needed and for only this mission.I know Velok always sent me in missions for him but this is they way you learn and you will take as much as more power from your Master's teachings.I am sure that the Dark Lord will end this mini series of duties soon and give me something more important as i hit one suceess after another with you by my side.''As he touched her hand and they stopped just right before the boulder.

They moved it together via force and smiled in the end that they did it the right timing. After hours they have completed their journey. The only thing that was in there was a terentakle and her babies.Velok had done a good job but Resen had found a ancient ligthsaber as it seemed worthy of bringing it to his Master the next tme he would see him in person.

They arrived at the ship seeing the evil looking Sith waiting them at the ramp.''A wild chase for no reason to worry. There was almost nothing in there but only an ancient lightsaber i want to show Velok.Other than this i will see my Master soon now?''

Chris in Alex watched the 2nd destroyer enter hyperspace. That and the blast from Chris's ship seemed to pause the fighting for the moment. Over a open wave transmission the female Nighten Commanders voice could be heard. "Sith forces, surrender now and you will be treated with respect and sent home in time. Continue fighting and we will execute you with impunity. This is your first and only warning." Chris adjusted Alex with a few spurts from its verniers then accelerated to the dead destroyers bridge. As she got close she launched her bits which adjusted to her flanks. Alex slowed till it was directly in front of the bridge's forward view port. She sent her signal directly into the bridges speakers by touching the metal frame completing a contact link.

"What is your answer Command crew?"

~~Tindalos-Class Deep Space Station "Orion"~~

Mack, the station's and the sector's overall Commander, looked out over the star field. In preparation for offensive or defensive operations ships had been gathered as a quick response task force. Common practice in such a instance as this. Pretty much it falls to a saying, "Those who try to defend everything, defenses nothing." What this means is they aren't about to divide up their forces to each planet in hopes of defending them. Instead if the enemy were to attack an planet the large force would be sent there to counter attack. That is why the Tindalos-Class stations were set up at major hyper space junctions. From there they could launch a counter force to just about anywhere in a short amount of time. They also protected those junctions from large scale attacks by hostile forces.

Not too long ago Mack requested the use of a long range scanner equipped ship to try and track the origin of the SC attack. The Imperium, eager to stomp out the hostile's as quickly as possible, lent him two Nebulon B Frigates with optimized and enhanced sensors. Mack paired them with two Clops each then sent them out of separate search patterns. There orders were to find the staging point for the SE and report it back, maintain constant communication and not to engage the enemy. So far nothing has turned up from their search.

Skavi was about to insist on taking the ancient sabre, but decided against it. "Very well," she said. "My orders are to take you back to the Sith Empire, to a space station over Marrovia."

They got aboard the ship and left. Soon enough they found themselves in hyperspace. Skavi passed the time by evaluating their training and sparring with Resen. She gave Folai a training sabre and started showing her how to use it.

After a few days they arrived in the Sith Empire. Marrovia, the capital, was a strip-mined world surrounded by huge space stations. Many of them spun to create artificial gravity with centripetal force, an ancient and simple technology. Miles long, they held hundreds of thousands of people, or even millions - Skavi wasn't sure of the exact numbers.

They docked with a gigantic donut-shaped space station, the center of government, the true administrative capital of the Sith'ari Centrality. Skavi pulled up her hood to hide her face, and led them through the halls of the station. Inside, it was hollow, and the ground curved up on both sides, and, farther, ahead and behind where the torus or donut curved around. It was filled with plants and buildings, and it was like walking down a long river valley. The air was fresh, not like being on a spaceship. The ceiling, the inside of the torus, was all transparisteel, and a mirror rotated beyond it to give the station sunlight.

In a small house surrounded by a garden, Skavi found Velok. He was training in the living room with his lightsabre. "An odd place until you realize that I'm teaching myself to fight better in very close quarters. A lightsabre would cut through these walls, but the metal or stone walls of a ship or an ancient temple would provide more resistance and slow me down. Better, then, to learn not to hit the walls at all. It's important to vary your training." The Dark Lord of the Sith powered down his lightsabre. "Thank you for taking care of that, Skavi."

"Of course, Master."

"Well done taking care of those errands, Resen. You haven't had much time to relax, but that's your next test. I want to see if you can relax. You have one week with no missions. Don't waste your time, but this is the last vacation you'll have for a long time."

By this point, auxiliary power was back up, at least for the bridge, thanks to some quick rewiring. Thus, the speakers actually worked when the Systems Alliance pilot interfaced with them.

Elsewhere in the ship, standard operating procedure was in effect. The Order of Battle blew up within its vault, as did the navicomputer, as loyal engineers performed their usual duty in such situations.

Kelen Adwar picked up the comm and spoke to the twenty-metre-tall mechanical monstrosity outside the bridge viewport. "We accept your offer of surrender. However, all our systems are down. You will need to contact individual starfighters, and may encounter some resistance from members of our crew. That is unlikely but possible. We will render all possible assistance in pacifying those of our crew who resist."

Outside, many of the Supa fighters, gunboats and blastboats were jumping to hyperspace on random vectors. The rest of the bombers and shielded interceptors, lacking hyperdrives, either surrendered or kept fighting. Fortunately, the Sith'ari Centrality was the civilized part of the Sith Empire, and thus suicidal ferocity was not highest on its list of acceptable traits for a fighter pilot. Many surrendered.

Though the Nighten Commander held the remaining undamaged ships in case of hostile reinforcements, she no longer had to as more SA ships showed up. Two Ra Caliums along with their escorts of three Clops each and the sector's Vestra-class "High Hope" were the among the first. Others were a number of core ward type vessels operated by the Imperium. With an Admiral now in the area the Nighten's last order was to send Her last fully functional Clop with the remaining two Kularis out to search for the last destroyer. She didn't think they would really find it but the effort had to be made.

Looking out at the battle field one of her Clops was heavily damaged, the other its systems disabled. They both would be seeing time in the ship yards. The two other Kularis frigates again one disabled the other lost one of its engine/weapons section and still venting atmosphere. The Hawk had sustained system damage and had a number of creators in its armor but was still space worthy, a testimate to the class's abilities.

Rounding up the deserted pilots was easy enough, as well as any pilots the may have survived the destruction of their fighters. For now they left the craft in space in case there were any last minuet booby traps. The Pilots were brought on board High Hope, those who were healthy were kept in shock cuffs in a far corner of the hanger bay, far from any space craft. Balaurian warriors along with typical SA troops kept an eye on them. Those that were hurt were taken to the med lab under guard and sedated.

Chris had been darting around the ship, ensuring nothing sinister was being done that would cause any further death. The ship was a wreak, not just from the killing blow done by the Endeavor but from all the combat it had just seen. Nearby a Jupitris exited hyper space, it was time to deal with the thousands of people left on the ship. Chris never could understand why the the core ward engineers design ships that needed so many people to operate. Horizon-class and Freedom-class ships landed in the hanger. Other would use external dock and/or made forced entries in isolated sections of the ship.

Chris returned to the bridge, "We are ready to collect you and your people. Head down to the hanger and inform the others to do the same. If they can't make it ensure them we will find them. Lets keep the fighting next to NONE please, i think we all lost too many good people here today." With that she made her way into the hanger, her bits reattaching themselves to Alex. Once there she landed the ExoShell so that no matter were you may enter, you would see it.

All would be instructed to remove everything that wasn't cloths, this would ensure all weapons were taken away. Lines were formed for the regular crew members to be processed. All that meant was their name, real or not, was taken along with finger prints, retina scans and a minor bioscan for the records. Commanding officers, and those who were clearly Sith were taken aside by Anari Huntresses. Their processing would be a bit more thorough though respectful. They would also be placed in stuncuffs.

With everything more or less under control Chris decided to get a good look at everything with her own eyes, outside of Alex. She would eventually make her way to the Sith and the other officers who were still being processed.

Resen was passing his time pleasent in the planet after getting his one week vacation from Velok. He was passing most of his time with Folai by his side and you could easily recognize that those two had a more deep relation now other than the student like teacher relation.Resen had been acustomed to her presence and they had even had dinner together alone.

Resen Viper was a cold hearted Sith but not a cruel person. He was also very willing to sacrifice himself to save people who loved as he had tried to do with his mother. His father though, this beast had managed to destroy their noble house and his loans from ciminals lead to his death but to his wife death also. But the only good thing he done was getting without his knowledge Resen into the ways of the Sith.

The young man found a rogue Sith and started learning those dark arts before going to the Stormblessed and now he was the apprentice of the Great Sith Lord of the Sith'ari Centrality. He know was feeling that he would get his bigger assignment after the end of his vacation.

Resen stood up from the bed and smiled to Folai. She was already awake and had made him breakfast. He kissed her cheek and then proceeded in wearing his clothes and his dark robe.He then headed out for the room where Velok was.It was the end of his peacefull vacation free days and maybe the start of his difficult the most difficult might assignment.

Only three Sith had been aboard the Ajunta Pall: Kelen Adwar, and two froglike Amphi-Hydrus. Only Kelen had a lightsabre, or indeed clothes. The froglike beings had no use for either. Part of her ensemble was armour, judged too good a hiding place; it, too, was taken politely, leaving her in a spare black bodysuit. The stun cuffs were an interesting choice. She or the Amphi-Hydrus could have disabled them with a thought, but that was more trouble than it was worth. And there were, after all, guards.

And what guards. The term 'Huntress' was used in her hearing, and 'Anari.' There was an Anari Sector on the edge of the Sith Empire, the Anari Commonwealth being the current ruling regime. The Anari Alliance before it had a significant history with Darksiders, and many of her fellow Centrality Sith had either helped conquer it or been trained there. A linguistic coincidence, surely.

She made no attempt to hide her curiosity, certain that these were the old, cold minds she'd sensed - the reasons she hadn't attempted mindwar upon the enemy commanders during the battle.

The woman who came to visit had a certain sense about her, which reminded Kelen of the huge battlesuit. And a hint of the Force, too. Interesting.

"Kelen Adwar, Central Command Operative. I'm pleased to see you're treating our people well." Her eyes narrowed. "You have power, yes? Forgive my bluntness."

Velok looked up as Resen came in. "Good, you're ready. Between one thing and another, you've been gone for a while, and I need to be sure your training hasn't stagnated. So before I give you your assignment, we'll go through forms and techniques."

He took Resen into an open-air courtyard in the middle of the house, ignited his lightsabre, and began. For six hours straight - no breaks, no rest, no water or food - Velok examined every facet of Resen's lightsabre technique and Force abilities. He tested him on telekinesis of large objects, then tested him on finesse and delicacy. He evaluated Resen's Force lightning and pronounced it acceptable for a Sith Knight. He then taught Resen a strange technique that let him make security camera feeds turn to static - an ability he had learned on the voyage of the ship Sojourn, visiting different Force-using traditions across the galaxy. That technique had come from the Baran Do Sages. It was a family of techniques, and he taught them all to Resen: all the hassat-durr techniques, including ayna-seff, the 'dead-brain.' When hooked up to medical monitors, he could make it seem as though nothing was happening in his brain, preventing brain-scan lie detectors from picking up anything.

When they were done, Velok cooked dinner for Resen and Folai.

"Your mission is this, Resen. A woman named Simma Cobaul has been reported to be inside a huge destroyed starship. It's the wreckage of an Executor-class Star Destroyer. Be very careful with Simma. Find out anything you can, but be aware that she is very old - many thousands of years old - and is possibly far more powerful than I am. Folai should stay here; I'll continue her training and introduce her to more of the Sith Empire while you're gone.

"If Cobaul allows you to live, she could be a source of great wisdom and information. Learn anything you can from her. Impress her with your maturity, and she may teach you of the Force. The greatest thing you could do would be to recruit her to the Sith'ari Centrality, as a senior member of the Dark Council. Nevertheless, if you pressure her it may insult her. As I said, she may kill you on sight."

Far away, deep in Wild Space, the woman called simma cobaul - Rai for 'frost witch' - sat in the captain's chair of a huge ship's bridge. Her face was all red and white, and in shadow. The ship had no power, not even artificial gravity. Everything was dark except for faint starlight through the windows. She pushed up from the chair and floated away.

Important meetings had taken place, and she had monitored them. And other problems were asserting themselves. She'd been disturbed, first by the spider-like Cold, then by the increased traffic along the Emerald Way. If too much changed, things could be unbalanced. Old powers could break free.

The trials and tribulations of being immortal.

Resen had farwelled Velok long before and h left him with Folai. Now he was so near at the ancient Sith that he could feel the tension. The Siths were old in time but she was a living expample.

The young man walked to some corridors and felt deep inside him the fear for her.He didnt knew what she would do how she would react to his present and what Velok might had said her for him in som secret talks.

He looked at the Star Destroyers pannels and felt like being an Imperial Ensign. He then reached the bridge and saw her standing there with her back turned on him like she was meditation or something. He got closer but kept a good distance before speaking wit his blood being cold from the unknown.

''Great Simma,i am Resen Viper the Sith Apprentice of Velok and i have come before you.''He then stayed in alarm waiting for a reaction from the almost spirit like figure.

"Simma is not my name," she said, turning, and the room grew colder. "It means frost, nothing more. Simma cobaul, frost witch." Her eyes narrowed and she floated around him in the zero gravity - impossible, because she wasn't pushing off from the walls. She used the Force to gently guide herself through the air as she circled him. They were both floating; the artificial gravity was out. Frost began to form on the walls.

"I know the name Velok. He has caused much...disorder...in the space I watch, over the last hundred years or two hundred, maybe. But he has done things that needed to be done. He saved Kro Var and Kelsal from the Uul'ba-Rai Jihad. For that alone, I'll listen to what you have to say, child."

Simma laughed. "Listen, child, you don't even know if I'm a Darksider. The things I have to teach are not for you. And yet...I do sense some potential." Her presence in the Force unfolded and became more obvious, and the room became colder still. Her power did indeed dwarf Velok's, or any other Sith Resen had ever met. And it was a cold and forbidding power, Dark in many ways. It felt like silence and the death of old stars. And it felt ancient.

"Very well. Bravery should be rewarded." Her powerful presence faded in again, and the Star Destroyer's bridge warmed fractionally. "I assume, as a Sith, you can create lightning. The projection of energy, the manipulation of energy, is a diverse field, but there is one skill I know that has become a part of my legend over the millennia. The Jedi called it tapas: the ability to stay warm no matter how cold your environment."

She taught him the skill. And then the bridge became very, very cold. Frost spiderwebbed across all the windows.

"Survive, if you can, and I'll show you how far you can take this skill. And as you keep yourself from freezing...distract yourself. Ask me questions." She smiled without humour. "They always like questions."

Chris was looking over the frog men mostly, avoiding the sneers she was getting from the other officers. If she paid them any attention it would only provoke them, or her. She turned to the woman when she spoke, Chris couldn't tell if she really meant what she was saying or not, about the treatment of her people. "Yes well, I have to wonder how we would be treated if the the roles were reversed. Since the whole Sivter "event" we have been gathering information on how Sith operate. I must say it doesn't flatter you all one bit." She turned to face Kelen Adwar fully placing a hand on her hip. "That was quite an unprovoked attacked you made back at Thesstria. I assume it was to probe us, in more ways then one I'm sure. See how we tick?" For the moment Chris dodged the question about power. She wasn't about to get into a personal conversation at the moment.

Kelen laughed, low and hard. "If you've only barely begun to understand what the galaxy at large knows about the Sith, then it's no wonder you've tarred us with the same brush. There are...degrees of us. Gradations. Specializations. Personalities. I am no more like the Sith Lord who ordered this assault than you are like your average starfighter pilot. Even within the Sith of our Empire there are academics, humanitarians, police officers, and many less pleasant ones, but I come from a part of the Sith Empire where most of us treasure justice, order and peace. We of the Sith'ari Centrality treat our prisoners of war much as you treat yours.

"Sadly, orders must be obeyed."

She looked over at the other captured officers, some of whom seemed to be sneering at the pilot. "Excuse me a moment." She raised her voice. "Batris! Linwood! Stelk! Eyes front!"

They'd seen her execute their captain. And though she stood there in a bodyglove and stuncuffs, surrounded by the enemy, they shaped up.

"My apologies. We're actually known for professionalism. Those three are the old guard - served under Lords like Norik Kun and Darth Kren and Iara Beorht. Arrogant to the core. I despise arrogance."

"I am no Sith," said the Frost Witch, as the room grew colder still. Her breath drifted as tiny flakes of ice in the null-gravity. "I know those names, some of them. Revan was hard to avoid. The more recent years, the upheavals, yes - I caught the names of Palpatine, Vader and Dooku.

"Revan and Nihilus. Those two, I remember especially. I try to stay out of galactic affairs, but they had the potential to shake the universe. Ripples of their actions reached even me, in my ice palaces and fortifications and hidden homes across the Unknown Regions. You can't consume a world without changing everything in some tiny way. Nihilus woke me from a year-long sleep.

"Before that...oh, before that, little Sith, there were long years where nothing happened. After the Republic, before the first Dark Jedi travelled to Korriban, tens of thousands of years passed without major incident. Even back in the Great Old Days..." Her eyes grew distant. "In the last days of the Celestials, when the Sharu and the Kwa and the Thrella and the Gree roamed the stars, and the Rakata thought they ruled the universe, there was a king named Adas. I met him once, during his three hundred year reign. Nobody living has seen such power, apart from me and some of the Croke...and one other, who your Master knows. Adas reigned undefeated for three centuries, a significant effort by a mortal. He and I fought in the valley that would become the Valley of the Dark Lords, my sword and spear against his axe. A huge man, with a weapon to match: double-edged, black, made with the most potent of alchemies. Even though Korriban was destroyed by the third of those things you name Death Star, I do not doubt that axe survives. Floating in space, somewhere, or in a private collection." The room became warm again, all at once. "Now observe, little Sith." She floated over to an emergency airlock, without power; she waved a hand and - impossibly - it opened. It closed behind her, grinding, blocking her from Resen's view.

The sage, patron saint, demigod of the unknown regions opened the outer door and pushed herself into space. She floated unharmed on the other side of the bridge viewport, one hand resting on the icy transparisteel. Her mind touched Resen's. When you are a Master, if you practice tapas well, you may be able to survive vacuum.

She grabbed a protruding bit of metal and levered herself back to the unpowered airlock; again, impossibly, it cycled and let her through, until she floated across the bridge to Resen.

"What else would you know, little Sith?"

"Well we can only go by the information we have and the actions we have seen. By orders given to you, you attacked a nation unprovoked. People died on both side for what i ask you? Why is the Sith'ari Centrality here?" A long shot, Chris knew. But it was worth asking. Plenty of other SA officers around to hear if she really did answer. She didn't think she was tricking Kelen, nor did she think the woman was stupid. It just seemed like she was forth coming, if not it didn't matter at the moment. Chris didn't think any of the SC officers would give any answers should they be interrogated, not truthful ones away. The SA knew too little about them to leverage them into talking. Not with out using excessive force. But that option was only for extreme cases, as in the SA is on the verge of total destruction.

"Whatever my feelings about my orders, telling you our objectives would be treason. My apologies." She smiled without feeling. "And there are some things I'm not privileged to know. I'm a fairly senior Sith - a match for your Huntresses, I'd imagine - but my commander places a high priority on compartmentalization of information. Which is to say, he's rather secretive even by Sith standards.

"On the other hand, there are those of us who would rather see a more reasonable individual in charge."

"It doesn't hurt to ask, though you'll likely be asked a number of questions before your sent back home." Chris walked over to the confiscated items where Kelen's items were. The Lightsaber hilt caught her attention right away. She looked over at Kelen. "We both likely know you won't be seeing this again but it would be rude to just grab it in your presence. May I?" The Anari Huntresses were ever alert, they had a better idea of what to expect from sith. They weren't just there for guard duty, not like the others SA troops. They were there to get a feel of the sith, to watch them, and were alert to anything that may be an excretion of the force.
"This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode."

"I appreciate you asking. A lightsabre is personal to the builder - that one is a part of me. I hope you'll take it as a measure of my willingness to make things go smoothly that I could activate it from over here and cut down, oh, plenty of people. I might even gain an advantage. But despite my orders, I am not a bloodthirsty person. And I certainly don't mean to alarm you."

"Prophecy? Sith'ari? Many people have prophecies. Some of them even come true. Listen - the future is always in motion, always shifting between alternatives." She gestured, and lines melted and re-froze on the windows, forming a branching pattern like a tree. "Yes, one of these outcomes is you becoming the sith'ari, but many are not. The question is whether you'll make the proper decisions to get you there, whether others' decisions will lead in that direction. Look at some of these possibilities." She floated over and traced one path with a finger. "In this timeline, you become a member of the Dark Council, and are tortured to death by the Sith Empress. In this one, you kill Velok. In this one, you join the Jedi Order. In this one, you marry...Folai. In this one, you kill her. In this one, she kills you. And so forth and so on. The possibilities are truly endless. I'm certainly not about to tell you what decisions to make to become the sith'ari, but I could suggest a few obvious factors.

"The sith'ari is the Dark Lord of the Sith, yes? That implies continuity with the past. You will need the teachings of the true Dark Lord of the Sith. Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, there are several now living who have a legitimate claim on that title. The most obvious is Darth Sirena, the Empress of the Sith Empire. The one called Sivter does not claim that title, but has a legitimate claim on it. Velok has three claims on it - one from his Sith Master, one from defeating a man named Darth Obscurus, and one from absorbing the spirit of Darth Kren, who founded the modern Sith Empire ten or fifteen years ago. Obscurus' apprentice, Darth Kabal, is a member of the Sith Empire and ruler of the Sith Enclave, and he has a claim. A wandering Jedi and former Darksider named Freedom Nadd also has a legitimate claim, as he defeated Kren. Kren's apprentice and successor, Norik Kun, was killed by a Darksider named Sion, and thus Sion has a claim. A dangerous, ancient being named Darius Malakai also has a claim.

"As you can see, it is a simple matter to get a claim upon the title of Dark Lord of the Sith. As Velok's apprentice, you technically have a lesser claim on that title. You would need to defeat Velok or someone else with a full claim, or be named as such by the spirit of one who had the title in the past.

"Being the sith'ari, however, is more than a claim. It is a reality. To ascend to those heights is the work of a mortal's short lifetime. I can suggest broadening your education. Velok is a veritable compendium of obscure Force techniques, but he does not know true Sith magic. Many Dark Lords have not had the gift; Bane did not, for example. It's a rare gift. You may not be able to learn it at all..." She hesitated. "I find myself interested in finding out whether you possess the gift. Here." A scroll appeared as if from nowhere. Made of thin flexible metal, it was engraved with runes in ancient Sith, which Resen had learned from Velok and aboard the Stormblessed. "If Velok was to read and study this scroll, he would not be able to do anything with it. The vast majority of Sith, even many of the most powerful, simply cannot touch true Sith magic, no matter how strong or knowledgeable they become. In modern times, only a very few can. There is no disgrace in being unable to do so. Remain here...study this scroll, and then attempt the spell. I doubt it will work, but it is worth trying.

"As far as more reliable ways to increase your power...Velok knows many things, but his grasp of alchemy is weak. The ability to make swords and armour that can withstand even lightsabres is a rare one, but there are several within the Sith'ari Centrality who can help you. Darth Sarastro himself, for example, or Darth Ahkris or Darth Kharonos. The alchemy of biology, of twisting life, is another kind. For that, turn to Darth Ahkris, though the other two know enough to give you the basics. Ashin Varanin knows some of both, now.

"Broaden your mind. Educate yourself in science, math, politics, tactics and economics. These, to me, are the obvious things that will help you in your quest to become sith'ari."

Resen thought he had learned so much.He then got alone in the room studying the scroll. At first he could spell anything and got depressed. Then he started meditating and he looked it over again and again and again.....

After numerous efforts he called the frost witch back in and he started speaking.''I didnt managed to-''And then silence. He looked it agan without his will like one ancient power had made him to read it and looked straight back at her...he spelled the scroll and then felt down like his brain was stubbed by 100 knifes and then looked back at her...

''Is this truly happening?I spelled it?!

For the first time, signs of life and interest appeared in the cold woman's face. The Force stirred as she made use of a strange and vast power: the ability to learn whatever she needed to know. Rather than true omniscience, it made her an oracle of sorts. She had to ask a question to the universe, so to speak. She did not know everything, but she could find out nearly anything if she needed to. "Yes, you did. The odds are in your favour, Resen Viper. Perhaps you have a chance at becoming sith'ari after all, in time. To have any access at all to true Sith Magic is a rare thing among powerful Forcers. With a gift such as yours, you could learn to control ancient artifacts and talismans.

"The spell you have just learned is a gateway to many others. I have given you the power to compel fear. Though use of standard Jedi and Sith 'mind tricks' can do the same, this is somewhat harder to resist, and may work even against skilled Force users.

"To continue your education in Sith magic, I can only suggest three sources. My knowledge of them is limited; this is far from certain. The first is the Sith Empress, Darth Sirena. She and a small handful of her people have access to true Sith Magic. The second is Darth Kabal; he and one or two of his followers, I believe, have this power. The third is Darth Ahkris, who hoards power and knowledge but may be convinced to teach you. Although Velok once possessed several scrolls of true Sith magic, he gave them to a close ally. He does not have this ability.

"There are very few holocrons still in existence, and of those only one or two may have information on Sith Magic. Darth Sirena has one. Ashin Varanin may have another.

"I can also suggest that, when you are quite a bit farther along in your journey, you claim or recover some important talisman or artifact that will help support your claim. Many things have been forgotten that should not have been, all across the galaxy."

Resen couldnt resist and asked.

''I found an old lightsaber on an old Sith temple on Bothawui...i gave it to the apprentice of Velok but didnt lernaed nothing more...It was curved hilt..with gold elements and a red dragon drew on it...do you know anything? It seemd ancient..Velok has give it t me back before i get here in case i wanted to show you...''

He took it out and present it to her....hoping it was something important.
