Nobody said they're invincible, Jag, but that doesn't mean we're not allowed to boast.

There have been many an individual Mandalorian that have been capable of taking down Jedi mano-a-mano. Jango Fett took out all the Jedi at... Galindraan or w/e... single-handedly in unarmed combat, for example. Mandalore was defeated by Revan, sure, but it was still quite the fight. The Battle of Malachor V was also no cakewalk for Revan and his followers... they lost a great sum of their own, so it's not like they wtfpwned the Mandalorians, by any means.

It's a two-sided coin, Jag. Isolated instances where Mandos are beaten by the Jedi don't give any more merit than isolated instances of the Jedi being beaten by the Mandos.

You make them sound invincible. I'm not saying the Mandos aren't good - they are - but you might be boasting a bit too much ;)

On the one hand you have people who have to fill the functions of diplomat and healer as well as warrior, and who have superpowers. On the other hand you have probably the finest and most dedicated soldiers, warriors, tacticians, etc. in the galaxy, who have no superpowers. If canon has shown anything it's that sometimes one wins, sometimes the other wins, and it really is just about even.

Jedi are so far from invincible it's not even funny. Jango Fett took out a Jedi Master with three blaster shots, if I'm remembering the Coleman Trebor scene right.

Nobody ever said their invincible, Jag.

But I don't take kindly to people saying that they're not good, even if it is all in fun and games. 'Cause next thing they know... BOOM! Mandos are in your base, killing your d00dz! :fett:

Also, we have a subforumz. Anyone seriously interested in RPing a Mando PM me to inquire access. I'm doing it this way 'cause there's gonna be some story-sensitive material being discussed, to which only active Mando RPers need know about it (out of courtesy).

And seriously, threats about invasion on a consent-based forum?

Meh, you understand it that way, but I don't put it forward that way.

Clear evidence by what's gonna be going on between the Mandos and Imps coming up. And the Rimma War wasn't a clean and cut victory for the Mandos, either. I don't put them forward as being invincible, but I do prefer to advertise their strength all the same.

You two shouldnt that be on a BSC vs Muir thread. Shouldnt we be putting our mandaloriean helmets on get on the mando story board but out what were working on and then see who we can help out the bigger mando story. We have a target now lets figure out how to make it bleed ic.

I can't really see why they'd fight, though.

I could see BSC wanting to fight Muir, just for the simple fact that they're Bothans.

There actually is a Muir that is a Senator. I'm done with Nuro's reaction and I'm working on Beritess' right now. We'll see if I get to a Muir.

My question is...how big is Muir's helmet? Does it look like a giant phallic object? Or is it like horse armor in the middle ages/medieval times?

Wheeeeeeeeeeee! Here's what we're up to:

A group of Mandos are off fighting Sivter's Cult of Shadow on Arcanix, as per a contract set out by NRI.

Another group are off doing some dirty work with the Federation of Allied Systems (did I get that right? I dunno....).

Both of these options leave room for new characters to come onboard, if you'd like. Though I would caution against Arcanix, given the depth of what's going on over there. (I hardly know what's going on. :P)

Several Mandos are likely to partake in other mercenary work independently at the time being. Bounties are posted on an unofficial "bounty board" kind of thread, to which you can choose and pursue to your heart's content, if that's your cup-o-tea.

Many are just chilling on whatever planet they've decided to settle on, as well. A good time for generic character-driven RP, as we have a calm before the storm moment going on.

Finally, a great way to be "just getting started" is to be a fresh recruit from the recent campaigning the Mandalorians made along the Rimma. Specifically, Yag'Dhul through Fondor... I think I got that right, not looking at the map, don't care to... but that general area. You know, where all the light blue/cyan coloring is in the middle of NR territory? Yeah. :) If you want to start out with a brand spanking new character who knows next to nothing about the Mandos, that's a great area to consider.

Likely after Arcanix is over, the Imps are going to be attacking Bandomeer. (I gotta get going on my other stuff that involves that planet first! ) That's another place to consider, though as with the "generic kick back and relax" statement above, there's not much going on aside from general character-driven RP.

In the end, it's pretty much an open book right now. Once the Imps attack Bandomeer, we're gonna be seeing a GE-Mando war going on, and that's a good time to get in on some good, solid, fighting.

Recommendations:

Mandalorian Protectors: That is the basis to most Mandalorian storylines on the board. It is sort of the "Home Page" of the Mandalorians. A nice place to start. Various other stories/threads spin off from there.

Truest of Bonds: Another good Mandalorian story. It flashes back to the boards version of the Vong, the Xen'Chi. Great storyline in my opinion. It is shameless self promotion though. :o

Also, look at our Wiki as well: SWE: Wiki

Topics and characters to look at there are pretty much related to Cadden in some form. Most of the time. Sadly my two main Mandalorians, Kera Aden-Nadd and Freedom Nadd aren't updated. But otherwise you can find useful information there.

Characters to look up: Kyr Aden, Cadden Blackthorne, Kera Aden-Nadd, Freedom Nadd, Fyjati Bralor, there are quite a few. Just do some digging.

Come up with a character idea. Post it here or send a PM to me or Cadden. Not that we have the right to say "no" to a character but we can provide help, insight, advice, etc. :)

Just write a character bio. What world is he/she from? Who are his/her parents? Age? Was your character mentored by another Mandalorian? Adopted? Born Mando? Etc. Stuff like that. Just write something up, or post ideas and we'll offer all the help we can. :)
