I'm just hanging tight 'til it becomes appropriate for me to post. Just so you guys know I'm still for this. Toying with ideas on how to get involved, but right now no defining moment has come up yet that really defines a good entry point for either Faarel or (the possibility of) Cadden, who if I'm going to use won't be until much later as, right now, he's likely not even on the planet.

We might be able to put something into motion to prompt an entrance from Faarel so you're not waiting on the side lines too long - any thoughts? I'm running on empty and it looks like I won't have that post until Sunday. Gosh dern it, but maybe I'll end up staying awake really late tonight and get it finished.

I'm not impatient about it, I'm just letting you know where I stand, and why I haven't posted.

Faarel is, first and foremost, a Moff for the Empire (hey, canon allows it to fit beautifully). So, he has to play that role. Which means that he's only going to be around if the Empire becomes involved. And, as per canon, the Empire, for the most part, let Corellia run the show on its own with CorSec. So, unless he has good reason to show up, he's not very likely to show up any time soon.

Sorry, guys, I've been having that nagging feeling that I've been forgetting something lately and now I know what it was. >< Again very sorry, like I've been telling people they got me scheduled something like 43 hours this week so it's pretty much been go to work, go to bed, get up, go to work, go to bed for me.

If anyone wants to take the spot light, the Anzati are open for some NPC action. I have no preference on how they're defeated be it wit or violence.

I'll wait for a little bit. I can spend some time writing up the transition for "Chapter 2: The Elemental Master"

If you're lurking, let me know and I'll wait longer. I'd love to have somebody else save the day instead of lettin the bad guys get away.

Love

Yay! Welcome back!

Take as many liberties with story and characters you desire.

The first chapter is winding down, the next event that must occur is Notorious's departure from Corellia. I don't suppose he can hitch a ride?

Eventually, I want to get him to a lush planet with mountains and waterfalls.... a place safe from the Empire with sparse smuggling activity to meet seedy and mysterious characters. I have something unique in store for him. Although that will likely involve a multi-year time jump

Well, since Cadden is sticking around I believe we still need to find a way to get Notorious to Faarel and then Faarel can find a way to smuggle him off-planet.

We might want to wait to see if Pryde and Arch still want in on this or not.

Well, if we can make the Anzati a big enough deal then maybe it could warrant Imperial intervention, which would include Faarel's appearance? I'm fine with a one-time cameo, or just being excluded all together. I was only going to include Faarel if it works for the story. :P

Well, the Leidaises would never just drop a seven year old kid off on another planet and leave him, so they wouldn't be the best people for moving Danolie around. They'd be more apt to adopt him (as the family tends to do) and bring him back to Juoi, which would probably put a crimp in Notorious's story plans.

What we could do is have the Imps start to inveestigate the rumors of Jedi on Corellia that started at the spaceport. Eventually they get captured, or perhaps just Tulsar, and Faarel gets wind of it. He uses his authority to clear the Leidias family since there's no solid evidence against them and takes Danolie under protective custody into his family until such time as he can safely send the boy away. Or perhaps the assault on the Blackthorne estate a year later by Ilan Garuda is what forces Danolie to leave.

Thoughts?

I concur. I like it - political and dramatic.

As far as my plans go - At this stage of his life, Danolie is in a volatile state. He's likely to get into a lot of trouble. It won't be for another decade before his character arc truly learns patience. It could be possible for him to get into a jam and end up falsely dead. A blast to the gut wouldn't kill him, but he'd look dead enough to throw into a body bag and skip town - at least for a few hours. A viable option. Danolie being sent away is also a viable option since he's going to be rambunctious and difficult to control. Imagine a 7 year old with no parents, enhanced healing abilities, no fear, and force sensitivity. At least he's potty trained!

Wherever he ends up should make the most logical sense - the rest, we can work with! Honestly, I'm totally cool with either staying on Corellia hiding in plain sight with Faarel, or going to Juoi to join the Leidiases. Neither option is detrimental to my overall arc. Either way, in a year from now, I see that Ilan Garuda attacks Corellia, and Sivter attacks Juoi. Both of these events could uproot Danolie, so I have a way out either way.

The fate of this child... is in your hands. I'd like to see how Faarel and Tulsar interact, so I'm sittin pretty :D Which one of y'all wants to teach me some manners, hm?

Well, the history of the fateful night where Sivter murders Falanis and Sysen is pretty much fleshed out. There have even been flashbacks in other threads to the event. Throwing Danolie into it would contradict a lot of stuff that's already come before, so it makes more sense for him to be with Faarel after all of this.

I really like the idea of the two families meeting up. Maybe they even spend a little time chilling on the Blackthorne estate before leaving. It actually gives more potency to some of the stuff Kalja will be doing later in life to have known Faarel so early.

Now, if Pryde is still in, we could get the trinity of child prodigies all in one place. 8)

Lol. Yeah, if it works better for you, we can have Faarel serve as Danolie's warden. Like I said before, I wanted to flesh out all the reasons for why the Empire discovers the truth about the Blackthorne family, seeing as the way it's currently written it seems a bit awkward, to say the least, that it would have been a "just like that" kind of deal.

I'd bring Cadden in on this, as well, but I don't really see any viable reason for him to be there, tbh. He's currently serving the Empire, very unlikely on Corellia, and the chances of him just so happening to be spending time on Corellia when all this goes down is pretty slim, I'd think.

Lets move it forward a bit so we can get Faarel in there. How much time would that take? I'm not opposed to filling in a few blanks with back story, i.e. the kids becoming friends, investigations taking place, anecdotes of Danolie learning manners, etc.

It's really not a matter of how long, but how severe of attention the Leidas family would attract as Force users. That could take anywhere from minutes to weeks. In the end, take the sensible approach, and whatever works for me. I left the Imperial entanglements bit up to you for that very reason. I'm fine waiting for him to get in on this, and I'm fine if you want to jump into that leg, as well. I've been doing some thinking and been considering doing a little bit of revising/fine-tuning on his background a little (nothing that would affect this... too much, at least?), so it might take me a couple days to make a decision, anyway.

How about a week? That seems long enough to develop some relationships and for the Imps to catch a scent.
