Moderator Resignation
Hello everyone.
We are sad to report that Pryde had tendered his resignation as Moderator in disgust of the lack of wages and stock options received in the course of his service. He would like to warn would-be moderators that it is a thankless job with no pay and annoying admins (eg. Jag).
We are currently discussing whether we will be replacing Pryde or simply get by with two Moderators.
Thank you.

Re: Moderator Resignation
Pryde, thank you for all your work over the years as a Moderator. It's not the easiest job to wrangle all of us, and there have been tough decisions faced by the moderator team over the years you were a Moderator. You've done very well, and your tenure has been a long and productive one.

Wait, we're not getting paid?
No wonder HR kept laughing at me whenever I inquired about my paycheck.
I would like to thank Pryde for his service to this community, and for putting up with everyone for as long as he has.

You have a right to remain silent... I hope to God you use it.

I'm still waiting for my 401k, I was planning to retire with that money. Now I have to get a real job. ><
In all seriousness, though, thanks everyone.

Pryde, thank you for doing an amazing job and for doing so well in putting up with the likes of Mirr and myself. Good luck in whatever your future endeavors are man. You're going to be amazing at them.
Sidenote: I think it would be wise to have a third moderator, especially given that it provides a tie break on the moderator front without involving the admins. That's a very appealing option, nothing against the admins but I always see y'all as the guys who keep the place running not handle the rules and laws of the place and what not.

I would post some kind of thumbs-up emoticon, but we're disallowed from using third-party images on the boards, and it seems so pointless to link to a tiny GIF.
So you'll just have to imagine it.
Being a moderator is stressful, as volunteer positions go, and I think you did swell. I'll try to post in our IC thread soon. Weekends see very little computer time for me, and on top of the usual stuff with toddlers, my wife's best friend from college is visiting for a week. So maybe I'll slip something in when I'm "working" tomorrow.
