Request - Fantasy Section

Post by PalinSoulForge »

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11369&p=276404#p276404

As you can see in this thread at least 9 members of this community would like to create a fantasy style section. While yes we could post in the Spiral Worlds section we want to create a world from scratch that is similar to our MBT. We want one persistent world where our stories take place like they do in our MBT or the World of Hereos section. This will take a lot of world building and several threads just to build the basic structure of our settings let alone the numerous threads we hope to create.

I would like request a section titled "Exodus Fantasy" under the "World of Hereos" section.

We also need an OOC forum. This can either be an RP OOC subforum or a completely separate OOC forum.

I don't foresee any problems, but let me put it to the team and get back to you guys. In the meantime, could I have everyone who is interested in doing this post their names here so we have a clearer picture of who all wants this to happen? Normally adding another board would be something to vote on, but if a clear majority of active posters wants to do this and there are no objections, I think we can skip that step.

BTW, add me to the list of interested RPers. ;)

I'm debatably active.

And I'm not posting my name. You'll have to look that up on the Wiki or Facebook or LinkedIn or Twitter or my other Twitter or my website or my other website or my other website or my other website or my Amazon.com author page or my Goodreads author page or my Shelfari author page.

It's just privileged information, is all. I can't have it spreading all over.

FYI, I need this to happen soon. If I have to review, research, and respond to 100 more complaints and grievances without any break (for work), I will go crazy. And you won't like Balsa when he is crazy! :x

And yours is A.L. Is The Bee's Knees.

Just like how Mr. T changed his name so that it included "Mr.," just so everyone would have to show him some respect, our names force everyone to acknowledge that we are, in fact, the cat's pajamas.

That was one of the upsides of teaching high school with a last name that starts with "T": About half my students consistently called me "Mr. T."

No, afraid not. There were pretty strict dress code/appearance protocols in place for teachers. It was pretty lame. One of a giant pile of reasons why I quit that job.

I was a mod. I know how long it takes to reach a decision if you ask all the mods. :P

Well, Pryde can't weigh in probably because he's been so busy lately. Neuge is never here anymore, so he probably hasn't participated, either (not that we waited for him all that much even back when I was a mod). That basically means either they're waiting for Nich to post his view on the subject so they can finalize a decision, or Jag and Halo are fighting over which of them has to go through the two-minute process of adding boards and sub-boards to the forum.

Or maybe they forgot that Pryde has been busy lately and may not weigh in on this. (He'd totally be behind it, anyway. It's exactly the kind of thing he would support.)

Decision-making always takes a long time if 3+ people are involved. Fortunately, our Mods are responsible people who understand expediency - unlike some executives at my job

If the wiki admin discussions are an indicator, certainly this. And, if the wiki admin discussions are an indicator, I will volunteer to do all the dirty work and set everything up and make it look all pretty. Like the recent organization revamp. ;)

Actually, I set it up yesterday, I just wanted to wait until it was official.

Well, IT'S OFFICIAL! The forums should be visible to all shortly.

Thanks Jag! :)

OCD Balsa muses, "What if you put the Exodus Fantasy OOC after the RP OOC, so it's in between the RP OOC and General OOC forums? Then it'll be next to the rest of the RP-related OOC forums!"

Viking Jagtai thoroughly pillages OCD Balsa.

Then tell me the causes now, O Beorht, how galled in her divine pride, and how sore at heart from her old wound, the queen of gods compelled Aeneas--a man apart, devoted to his mission--to undergo so many perilous days and enter on so many trials.
